I chose the Kyrgyzstan Star Ala-Too Central Square for my business trip to Kyrgyzstan, and after a week's stay, I had a very comfortable experience. I definitely have to praise it! 👍
As a business traveler, location is paramount, and this hotel is super close to the Bishkek train station. Taking a taxi to the old town for business meetings only takes about ten minutes. Within a ten-minute walk, there are several local restaurants and supermarkets, so I didn't have to go out of my way to buy souvenirs or find food, which saved a lot of time.
The business room I chose was quite spacious. Since it's newly opened, facilities like the smart toilet, sofa, and desk were all sparkling clean. The power outlets for charging my devices were very well laid out, so I didn't have to search for power strips when working late. The hotel also has a laundry room, which was perfect for washing and drying all the shirts and suits I'd accumulated over the week. I could head out looking sharp, which is so convenient for business travelers! 👏
The most pleasant surprise was the service. The front desk staff spoke fluent Chinese, so communication was completely seamless. When I urgently needed to print a contract, the front desk quickly helped me out and even recommended a reliable car rental service nearby – the attention to detail was exceptional. While the breakfast selection wasn't extensive, it offered both Chinese and Western options. The freshly baked bread and local yogurt were delicious, and I left feeling full and energized every day.
For this price, being able to stay at such a hotel in Bishkek city center offers excellent value for money. I'll definitely choose this place again for my next business trip here, and I highly recommend it to friends traveling or on business in Bishkek. You can confidently go for it! ✅
Great hotel! Booked for 5 days and decided to extend for another 3. The rooms are comfortable and quiet. The staff is very responsive, and the Wi-Fi is excellent.
The worst experience ever in my life. I am willing to bear all legal responsibility for the facts I have stated.
At approximately 2:30 a.m., an unknown man entered my room without authorization. This is an extremely serious security breach. Had I been a female guest sleeping alone, or had I been asleep with valuables exposed, the consequences could have been far worse. If my belongings had been stolen while I was asleep, what protection or recourse would I have had as a Wyndham guest?
This incident occurred in the middle of the night, when guests are most vulnerable. I consider myself fortunate that nothing worse happened. However, I was unable to sleep for the remainder of the night due to fear and anxiety. Even today, I do not feel secure leaving my belongings in the room. I have had to carry my laptop, passport, and all valuables with me because I no longer trust the hotel’s security procedures.
What further disappointed me was how the situation was handled. When I rushed to the reception immediately after the incident, the only response I received was a brief verbal “sorry.” There was no explanation, no reassurance, and no immediate action taken to address my concerns. Additionally, my keycard had been revoked without notice, forcing me to return to the reception again.
As of today, no manager has reached out to me in person to provide a formal apology or explanation. The absence of proper follow-up makes the situation even more concerning. If hotel management considers this a minor mistake, that is frankly alarming. As I wasn’t able to sleep at all due to the hotel mistakes
And they reject to refund me for the first night’s accommodation fees. And until now, I don’t receive any official apologies from them.
Be careful, what happened to me might be happen to you as well.
I stayed at the hotel for one night after an overnight flight. I checked into my room very quickly. I paid for the room through Trip.com and paid in rubles right there at reception, which was very convenient since our cards don't work in Bishkek. The room was spacious, with a great view. The hotel is convenient for accessing the city's main attractions. I'd like to highlight the friendly staff and the decent breakfasts. I would recommend this hotel to friends.
Best hotel we have stayed in throughout our trip across Central Asia. The location is central, close to everything, there are several supermarkets in the neighbourhood. When the sky is clear, you can even see the mountains from your room, it’s beautiful. Everything was great and the people who work here are so nice and helpful. Regarding the laundry however, we appreciate the fact that it is free and that they have someone doing it for us, but we would have preferred a self-service laundry where we can do it ourselves as they didn’t even fold or dry our clothes, they just dumped them in a bag, all wet and crumpled. We were told that the dryer was not working but they could’ve just hung the clothes on something and waited a couple hours for them to dry before returning them.
Also, we were told that the phone does not work yet in the room as the hotel is still new and that we could contact them via WeChat, unfortuantely we couldn’t download WeChat with our international phone numbers so we had to go downstairs every time we needed something. That being said, they were super helpful every time we needed anything. They even had a translator and a lovely man dressed as a military who kept welcoming us with a big smile and helped us whenever he was there.
We also liked the Chinese breakfast, it was hearty, diverse and comforting. They have all the amenities you could need, the room is clean and spacious with the comfiest beds and high quality sheets, slippers, bathrobes; the bathroom is spacious, cozy and practical and more importantly clean. There is also a bidet. They provide water, fruits, free laundry and whatever you need. You can use the microwave in the basement to heat your food and there's always tea, coffee and water. They also brought a mini fridge to the room after I left a comment about it, this was such a nice and thoughtful gesture, thank you! I have extended our stay several times as we needed to rest and I don't regret my decision.
Comfortable stay, pretty view, need to get taxi to get around the city centre. Serves really nice breakfast. Comfy bed and clean bedsheets.
Clean amenities:)
Water dispenser is at hotel lobby!
Friendly staff
Spacious room and bathroom, ok breakfast, location is a little outside of the central district, good service and cleanliness. Some of the Chinese guests are smoking in the bathroom regardless of the warnings and fines, regardless of the designated balcony on each floor reserved for smokers and a nice patio in front of the hotel.
My suggestion to the hotel is to put signs in the Chinese language and to organise a breakfast buffet with more simpler dishes instead of complicated baked cheese-topped combinations.
The price is relatively high, there is a free spa, if there is an additional charge for massage, the breakfast is also rich in variety, but the taste of Central Asia is really unpalatable, and the scenery outside is quite good.
Very Good

Great
A fantastic hotel, conveniently located next to a Chinese shopping mall! The environment is clean and hygienic, the rooms are spacious, the beds are room-wide, and the signage in the rooms is comprehensive, with Chinese, English, and Russian language options. Communication at the front desk is also very convenient, with translators available. It's very friendly to Chinese people abroad. The hotel seems to be newly opened, as the rooms and facilities are very new, including a smart toilet and a TV with screen mirroring capabilities, making it very comfortable!
I had a great stay at Duo Hotel Bishkek and I am still staying here as I write this. I have been here for the last six days, and the experience has been excellent from the start. Check-in was smooth and quick, with very friendly and welcoming staff. Everyone I interacted with was polite, helpful, and genuinely attentive, which made the stay comfortable. The breakfast is one of the highlights. There are many options to choose from, fresh and well prepared, and it easily suits different tastes. It is a great way to start the day. The room is clean, tidy, and well maintained. Housekeeping does a very good job, and the overall atmosphere of the hotel feels calm and organized. Overall, Duo Hotel Bishkek offers great comfort, excellent service, and a warm environment. I would happily recommend it and would definitely choose to stay here again.
The hotel is brand new (just 2-3 months) and the room is amazing with state of art amenities. The bathroom amenity was great and the bidet is superb. However, since the hotel is new, massage, cafe, bar, entertainment center and mart is not opened yet. Note, all staff are Chinese and their Russian and English is poor so Google translator is necessary. I’m giving 5 star even considering above facilities not functioning in mind.
