I am how genuinely happy my recent stay was at The Loom. From the moment I arrived, everything felt thoughtful, welcoming, and exceptionally well-run.
Check-in was smooth and professional, and the front desk team immediately set the tone—warm, efficient, and genuinely hospitable. After a long day of travel, it was refreshing to be greeted by people who clearly care about guest experience. Throughout my stay, every interaction felt consistent: friendly, attentive, and proactive without being intrusive. Whether it was a quick question, a request, or simply passing staff in the hallway, the level of professionalism and kindness was noticeable. It’s rare to see that kind of consistency across an entire team, and it made the stay feel effortless.
My room was spotless, quiet, and extremely comfortable. The bed and linens were excellent, and I slept better than I expected. I also appreciated the small details—well-maintained amenities, a clean bathroom, strong water pressure, and a layout that felt functional and relaxing. It’s clear that housekeeping takes pride in their work.Fully maintained and had a calm, polished feel. Common areas were clean and inviting, and the overall atmosphere felt both upscale and comfortable. I also appreciated how safe and organized everything felt, especially during busy periods. The breakfast/restaurant experience was excellent—fresh, well-presented, and a great start to the day. The service was just as strong as the rest of the property. The location was also a major plus—convenient and easy to navigate, with everything I needed close by. It made the entire trip smoother.
Overall, this was one of the better hotel experiences I’ve had in a long time. Thank you for delivering a stay that felt genuinely high-quality from start to finish. I’ll absolutely be returning the next time I’m in Providence
We were disappointed in our stay. When we booked, we specifically selected ”water view” and the room was advertised as having 2 ”queen” beds. Although perhaps both were technically true, we certainly felt ripped off. The view we had was actually into the atrium where you could technically see the water through a window all the way across the atrium - a couple hundred feet away. The beds may have been bigger than full but were at least 6” less than a typical 60” wide queen. Since we paid extra for the view we didn't feel it was worth the price. The room out of that context was nice, but it had no complementary bottled water or coffee and at checkout we were told that was due to Covid somehow which made no sense to us. The walls were also pretty thin and it felt like someone was flushing the toiled right next to me while I was in bed. Overall it was clean and the staff was friendly but it was not what we expected for $700/night.
The hotel is very close to Brown and can be reached on foot. The surrounding environment is safe and clean. It is very comfortable to take a walk. There are many supermarkets and restaurants next to it. Starbucks is on the second floor! The hotel has free coffee in the lobby in the morning, which tastes good!
The room was large and clean. For food, we went to Macy's across the street. The staff provided directions, and we used the second-floor hallway.
The Macy's restaurant is on the third floor and a little hard to find.
Brown University is nearby, so it's a good walk.
Nice location with tons of restaurants around. Stylish design and pretty new. Bed is also good. Would stay here again and recommend to anyone who is planning to visit Newport.
Near the airport, parking is free and suitable for self-driving. 15 minutes drive from the city of Providence. The hotel facilities are also good, the rooms are large.
The room is quite spacious and well decorated. The front desk gave me a view room and upgraded it to free breakfast. I thought it would be noisy on the first floor, but it was very quiet. It is also convenient to get in and out. Valet parking is $40 a day.
The rooms are spacious and bright, and facing the lake, it is highly recommended for a comfortable hotel. The hotel also has a special shuttle bus to the beach, suitable for leisure and permanent residence
Stayed here for two nights to attend my brother’s graduation ceremony. Very conveniently located right across from the mall and Kennedy Plaza, was very easy to get around the town. The hotel has a rich history and the renovation is done really well, would highly recommend for people to stay for an eventful occasion. Staff were nice but too slow and short staffed. Had to wait long for check-in and check-outs, so plan ahead. Would definitely stay here again if we visit providence in the future.

AAnonymous UserThe InterContinental Hotel series located in the Rhode Island capital is complete with hardware facilities. The design of public places and room space is very atmospheric and stylish. The breakfast package is selected, the production is exquisite and delicious, and the parking is convenient.
GGuest UserGreat trip, close to ” mansions” and Newport music festival...Staff was very helpful, kind. Room was clean. Plenty of parking.
There were certain fees for amenities
Etc; I wish they would give US the option as to whether WE WANTED THE ” amenities” and accordingly adjust the bill :)
Our access to Internet was non existent for one day...as, apparently, bad weather plays havoc on Internet/ wifi. Also wish they had more options for breakfast....I may have overlooked, but do they have a brochure re local restaurants/ activities. We were there for brothers birthday and concert so additional activities were not a requisite.
We' d stay there again but further discuss the ” upcharge” for ” stuff” we were either not going to use .

GGuest UserThe hotel was very clean, super nice rooms, comfortable mattresses. The beds are VERY high so a step stool would be so helpful for getting in and out. Just something you could slide beneath the bed. Also there were no spoons or stirrers or napkins, if you wanted to make coffee in the handy kitchenette area. And it would be very nice to have at least one comfortable chair in the room if you want to sit with a cup of tea or coffee - otherwise you have to climb up and sit on the bed, or on the not-so-comfortable, but handy, bench at the foot of the bed.

叶叶Let's talk about the highlights first. The hotel provides a shuttle to the city. Although it is very close, it is inconvenient to park by yourself. The hotel driver is very friendly and the recommended Hemingway restaurant is very good
When checking in, the hotel repeatedly charged the room fee. When checking out, I found out and negotiated but never returned it. After that, I contacted Ctrip to deal with it and gave Ctrip a thumbs up.
GGuest UserHistoric Hotel in the Center of Newport. Staff was Friendly and helpful. Rooms were Comfortable and Cozy. My only Complaint is the Hot Tub was Only That, a Hot Tub. There Were No Bubbles! The Pool was Nice regardless.
