First of all the hotel rented out the rooms for individual operator. So there will be different check in counter. Upon check in, been told that the room card not functioning as they are doing upgrading, so every time u come back will need to call the house keeping to unlock the door. Most importantly they charge RM 17 per night for car parking. So a lot of car parking outside which make the entrance a bit difficult

The hotel is conveniently located right next to The TOP, Penang's iconic circular skyscraper, making it easy to navigate back to, especially during evening strolls. Directly opposite is the GAMA supermarket, and next door is 1st Avenue Mall. There are also plenty of restaurants across the street, offering great convenience for shopping and dining. A 10-minute walk to the right will lead you to several durian shops, New Lane Hawker Centre, and the Sun Yat-Sen Museum. Turning left, you can walk to the famous Street Art area, which isn't just about murals; every corner is photo-worthy, and the shops are fantastic for browsing, truly capturing the essence of Penang. The hotel breakfast selection isn't extensive, but it's sufficient. The noodle bar offers various delicious options, and I also tried the freshly made roti with dipping sauce, which was quite good.

Highly recommended! I almost didn't book this hotel as I read the negative reviews. That would have been a regrettable mistake. Thankfully I realised that all the recent reviews have been glowing. I loved my stay at Sunway Hotel and everything was perfect. The bathroom was spotless and seemed very new. I really liked the pomelo-scented bath gel; and they even provided Colgate toothpaste! There were ample hangers and hanging space for everything. I was very happy with the large luggage bench - even a 30' bag would fit comfortably. There was a full-length mirror in the spacious room, and an iron and ironing board were also provided. I was also very glad for the excellent free parking facilities onsite. I'll definitely stay here again the next time I'm in Penang!

Overall, it's decent for the price. However, there's a noticeable difference between the OZO in Phuket and this OZO in Penang. The location is in George Town, but on the northern side near the sea, meaning it's over 1km away from most major attractions, restaurants, and durian shops. The staff weren't as friendly as in Phuket; checking in felt like doing business at a government office. We booked three deluxe twin rooms, but they were assigned to two different floors. The hotel has nowhere to dry clothes, and even the hangers are semi-fixed in the wardrobe. At night, you can hear music playing, which affected our sleep (especially the bass). Since we had a child, we requested an extra bed, but the extra bed didn't come with a proper duvet, only a very thin blanket.

The place it self was great, the cleanliness was very good and the service was excellent. The only downside we had was the neighbours upstairs kept making loud noises through out our stay, however credit to the agents they replied back to us promptly when we brought this up and had notified their landlord. Unfortunately this didn’t still resolve the loud noises. The building it self is nice, the pool is clean and well maintained, however the building does have a lot of regulations in place which we thought was quite excessive. Other than these minor issues we had a great time and the apartment is well kept.

The hotel is conveniently located and within walking distance to many popular eateries, coffeeshops and tourist sights around Georgetown. The staff are friendly and accommodating, the reception area is cosy with comfortable seating and free good quality coffee. We booked the Deluxe 2 Bedroom Loft at Block B. While the layout, space and beds were comfortable, room maintenance and housekeeping can be improved. Maintenance: the tap was leaky and shower head holder was loose, the laminates on the doors and frames were badly chipped, the door stopper at the Twin Room was not working properly and upper bedroom smelled musky. Housekeeping: some bath towels were frayed, surfaces like window ledge, tissue box, desk lamp were dusty, the Nespresso machine water container was slimy. Hopefully Citadines can look into these improvements to provide guests with a much better experience.

Views are really good. Overall experience ok but there is no lift from carpark to lobby, only staircase.. recommend to drop luggage before going down to basement carpark else you have to carry up which is quite inconvenient Another downside is soundproof not really good. Especially when the crew cleaning room beside, we can hear the vacuum and some noise early in the morning around 8-9am 😔

Excellent hotel location. The fully equipped kitchen, ironing board with iron, and hairdryer are all available. If you need anything, you can contact staff via WhatsApp, and it will be delivered quickly. The room was clean and spacious. Nice pool and jacuzzi, plus a well-equipped gym. Upon check-in, we were asked for a 200 RM refundable deposit, but only in cash. We had a pleasant stay.

The location is convenient and the place is clean, but check-out time is too early at 11 AM 😫. I asked if I could check out later, until 12 PM at most. My phone didn't have service, so I didn't see their messages until after 12 PM. They kept messaging, and when I finally got service at 1 PM, I was told I had to pay a 100 fine for late check-out. We had actually already left by 12 PM. To avoid any trouble, I just paid it directly.
