RRayTFirst of all the hotel rented out the rooms for individual operator.
So there will be different check in counter.
Upon check in, been told that the room card not functioning as they are doing upgrading, so every time u come back will need to call the house keeping to unlock the door.
Most importantly they charge RM 17 per night for car parking. So a lot of car parking outside which make the entrance a bit difficult

GGuest UserThe hotel's location is great. During my three-day stay, I could easily walk to Mural Street every day, and enjoy durian and highly-rated restaurants at my leisure. There's also a shopping mall nearby with a supermarket, Watsons, and an ATM for currency exchange. The weekend art market is also within easy walking distance.
The hotel breakfast was good. Each day, there was a local specialty dish prepared outside the lobby that you could go and pick up yourself, along with freshly squeezed juice. There's also a piano in the lobby on the first floor, with performances in the evenings.

SSinitaChopraMy son and nephew stayed in the Premier Twin Room, and their feedback honestly left me flabbergasted. For boys whose vocabulary on things like hotels and hospitality is usually quite limited, they simply could not stop yapping about how much they loved the room!
According to them, the room was huge, comfortable, and incredibly cosy. Their absolute favourite part? The complimentary mini bar items — that definitely earned extra points! They also could not stop talking about how amazing the shower was.
A special mention must also go to the housekeeping team. Hats off to the housekeeping lad who somehow managed to clean and organise the room so well despite the unbelievable amount of clutter the boys created within such a short time frame. Truly impressive and very much appreciated.
The boys also thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast spread and kept mentioning the warmth and hospitality showered upon them throughout their stay.
Thank you once again to the entire team at Sunway Hotel Penang for making their stay such a memorable one. It is experiences like these that keep us coming back.

The in-house massage was reasonably priced and good. The hotel breakfast was affordable with a nice selection. The bathtub was a great bonus for my kids, and the location made it easy to travel to many attractions around Penang. Overall, a comfortable and family-friendly stay. 👍😊”

了了了-ZHUOOverall, it's decent for the price. However, there's a noticeable difference between the OZO in Phuket and this OZO in Penang. The location is in George Town, but on the northern side near the sea, meaning it's over 1km away from most major attractions, restaurants, and durian shops.
The staff weren't as friendly as in Phuket; checking in felt like doing business at a government office. We booked three deluxe twin rooms, but they were assigned to two different floors.
The hotel has nowhere to dry clothes, and even the hangers are semi-fixed in the wardrobe.
At night, you can hear music playing, which affected our sleep (especially the bass).
Since we had a child, we requested an extra bed, but the extra bed didn't come with a proper duvet, only a very thin blanket.

GGuest UserThe place it self was great, the cleanliness was very good and the service was excellent. The only downside we had was the neighbours upstairs kept making loud noises through out our stay, however credit to the agents they replied back to us promptly when we brought this up and had notified their landlord. Unfortunately this didn’t still resolve the loud noises.
The building it self is nice, the pool is clean and well maintained, however the building does have a lot of regulations in place which we thought was quite excessive. Other than these minor issues we had a great time and the apartment is well kept.

AAiyahwateverThe hotel is conveniently located and within walking distance to many popular eateries, coffeeshops and tourist sights around Georgetown. The staff are friendly and accommodating, the reception area is cosy with comfortable seating and free good quality coffee.
We booked the Deluxe 2 Bedroom Loft at Block B. While the layout, space and beds were comfortable, room maintenance and housekeeping can be improved.
Maintenance: the tap was leaky and shower head holder was loose, the laminates on the doors and frames were badly chipped, the door stopper at the Twin Room was not working properly and upper bedroom smelled musky.
Housekeeping: some bath towels were frayed, surfaces like window ledge, tissue box, desk lamp were dusty, the Nespresso machine water container was slimy.
Hopefully Citadines can look into these improvements to provide guests with a much better experience.

GGuest UserThis hotel was by far the best and most satisfying of my entire trip to Malaysia! The environment is fantastic, and the hotel itself is beautiful. The room was large, clean, and came with a balcony overlooking the sea. The bed was incredibly comfortable – I even took a picture of the mattress brand so I can buy one for myself! Breakfast was also good; I ended up having both breakfast and lunch there for the first two days, haha. The restaurant also offers sea views. While the variety isn't massive, there's definitely enough to eat. If you're visiting Penang to see Penang Hill and Batu Ferringhi Beach, this is a great place to stay. It's a bit less convenient for George Town, but for my three days in Penang, this location offered the best experience. George Town, on the other hand, didn't leave a great impression on me; it was very congested and hot, lacking any sense of a relaxed pace. This hotel, though, truly felt like a vacation! Excellent value for money.

Iilonka-zExcellent hotel location. The fully equipped kitchen, ironing board with iron, and hairdryer are all available. If you need anything, you can contact staff via WhatsApp, and it will be delivered quickly. The room was clean and spacious. Nice pool and jacuzzi, plus a well-equipped gym. Upon check-in, we were asked for a 200 RM refundable deposit, but only in cash. We had a pleasant stay.
