"I'd give this hotel 10 stars! The service, food, and atmosphere were all incredibly professional and attentive. We visited during the off-season, and yet the quality of service was absolutely top-notch, which we really appreciated. One evening, we got back around 10 PM, and they waited until we confirmed we weren't going to use the hot springs before turning off the lights. The open-air hot spring was so relaxing!"

"- Arriving staff proactively helped us put our luggage in the room, which was tidy. As I signed up for the star tour, I informed the hotel in advance that dinner was arranged at five o'clock, the food was varied, very satisfied, breakfast was still very rich. It takes about 10 minutes to drive to see the stars. Spa comfortable, - the indoor one outdoor. There are two other family spas for no one to use at no additional charge. There are two table tennis tables for playing. Staff was considerate and proactive and will stay next time."

"Traditional Japanese-style room, clean and quiet environment, polite and patient waiters. There is plenty of food for one stay and two meals, and you can't finish it in an hour. The hotel has a large bathhouse and outdoor hot springs. It is a good place to experience slow life and recuperate. In addition, the hotel can arrange nighttime stargazing transfer service."

"We arrived at noon, but the hotel immediately checked us in because we had some transportation issues when we left. The front desk service was excellent; they helped us check our transportation information, spending a full 1-2 hours to resolve the problem. We were extremely grateful and touched by the hotel's busy schedule and assistance, which allowed us to smoothly connect to Matsumoto! The hotel is spacious and the food is delicious. Breakfast and dinner are buffet style, with all-you-can-eat crab legs. The food is plentiful and everyone, adults and children alike, loved it! We stayed for two nights and even went stargazing in Achi Village. The hotel provided shuttle service for both trips! Our room was a corner room with good natural light and was spacious. The onsen (hot spring bath) was also very comfortable. Highly recommended!"

"There were very few hotel guests, quiet enough but a bit too cold for families with kids. The bathroom needs a touch up, water pressure not good. Overall ok to stay ok to stay one night but will not return. Skies were cloudy so we couldnt see any stars."

"My husband and I are enjoying staying at a hot spring inn. This time, we stayed at Esan-san, a 5-star inn. The first thing I noticed was that all the staff were young. Recently, hot spring inns are often staffed by older people and foreign trainees, but it's rare to see an inn with so many people working so hard to serve customers, so I hope they will try harder. The old inn itself seems to be in the process of being renovated. The hot spring and the room were clean and nice. For meals, we had food cooked by the hearth in a private room, but it was a bit unsettling because we had to grill it ourselves, and it was a bit disappointing that there was no rice. Rice is better than oyaki. If I visit again next time, I would like to have a kaiseki meal. For breakfast, I had a second helping of rice and it was delicious. I thought it was good for the price. There was no welcoming or seeing off, which felt a bit lonely, but it might be okay since you don't have to worry about anything."
