"It has good weather and far from busy streets. It has nice location though it was quite far and we had a hard time looking for the place since there was a rerouting due to closed roads. The place is but i was disappointed because it has poor connection and i immediately reported it to the front desk but until we checked we were not attended. The food is ok but nothing special."

"We came at bad time due to typhoon season in the area. Having that said, our stay has been pleasant. The room we were assign is very quiet, very decent and secure. Its spacious given its deluxe categories. It can actually accomodate 4 people. The internet is decent and with TV and cable connection. The food in the restaurant is suprisingly worth its price. Definitely going back next time in Lian."

Blue Ribbon Dive Resort

"Don't go there for the comfort or cleanliness of the rooms. The toilets/showers should never be washed due to the dust and grime we found. And what about the constantly nauseating smell! As for the kitchen, it's reasonably good... but we didn't go to see if the state of the kitchen was similar to our bathrooms! The tables are not washed regularly and the table mats contain remains of the previous meal. No floral decoration in the common areas and the only place to relax is on a pouf sofa in which I did not dare to sit because it must have been a long time since it was cleaned. DIVING SIDE: The facilities are basic and damaged (to take a shower outside it's an art to open the tap)... and the "dry" room is full of untidy electrical equipment (whose equipment is it... . what is it used for) . NEVERTHELESS the staff, although a little shy, is very helpful. The Dive Masters are nice too...but we would have preferred to be part of a group of 6 divers! They showed us some really cool things that we wouldn't have seen without them. I think that the boss should give firm directives and take better control of his establishment if he wants to see his business continue."

The Philip Ann Resort

"Heard and read some fantastic reviews about The Phillip Anne resort… here is ours. Positives: Friendly and helpful staff, fantastic comfortable pillows. Negatives: Rain in rooms and onto the beds of the family room. Showers are abysmal. Extremely poor water pressure, water not much more than a drip & stinks, heating works but is luke warm, other room is cold… towels are like sand paper, no small towels provided or available. Had better showers at Oodnadatta. Ants in all rooms and cockroaches in our family room, toilet blocked on arrival and doesn’t flush, limited toilet paper. WIFi provided all around the resort, however speed is similar to 90’s dialup speeds. Spent more time watching the spinning wheel of death on Netflix than anything else. They need to spend less money on spying security cameras and spend more on guest wifi. Beds are cheap and bedding is poor with only a sheet and thin quilt cover provided. Flies and mosquitoes in both rooms. Food menu looks good at first glance, but portion size is tiny, share plates are not enough to share, food was raw and undercooked… fresh orange juice is Tang. Please fix the toilet seats and secure them properly. We booked for 7 nights, but only stayed 1 before shifting elsewhere. Would not recommend this place to anyone. Cockroach and Ants Raining in the room on bed Water, no pressure, dirty and stinks"

But the washroom needs improvement 1, Bathtubs higher than the deck during the shower causing water flows on the ground , Floor gets wet and won't dry till overbite . 2, The shower water temperature fluctuates between hot and cold making it difficult to maintain a comfortable shower,"

Rustique Rue Mabini - Hostel

"Great hostel! The staff is really friendly and we felt right at home. Everything was very clean, and we especially enjoyed the freediving activity we booked through the hostel (it's just a short walk from the accommodation, and thanks to the instructor, we loved it!). Like any hostel, sleeping comfort depends on the noise level of other guests, and here the only slight issue was the owners' children, who made quite a bit of noise very early every morning (for example, watching videos at full volume while we were sleeping on the other side of the partition). We spoke with other travelers who had the same problem; it might be a cultural thing, but in any case, it didn't stop us from having a great stay! One last thing: don't hesitate to bring an eye mask because the hallway light is turned off very, very late, and it's practically daylight in the room when it's on."

La Luz Beach Resort

"I will be truthful to this review as I can be. My partner and I went to La Luz on a weekend to unwind after a very long and tiring week. I tried to book on the same day (Saturday) and called them. Someone on the other line said that they were full already so I tried calling other resorts within the area and I received a call again from them saying that they have an available room due to a cancellation. So I took it, they forwarded their policies. The person said that the room is approximately at 8k and that there is a 20% discount. When I received the quoatation, I was confused bec the total is still at 8,000 despite the discount but she told me that she also included a 600 peso voucher for each person. I was asked to pay 50% deposit and that the rest can be settled in the resort after. Due to a series of events, we arrived at the resort at 530pm and they said that we can settle the balance in the morning since the front desk is already closed. Here is the breakdown of our review: ROOM- the room that we got has 2 twin sized beds with an additional extra bed on the room already. The cabinets are old. The lights on the shower area was busted. They provide basic toiletries. And there is a mini fridge on the room. FOOD/RESTAURANT- Food is reasonably priced and that serving is huge (like good for 3-4 persons) already. However, food serving time took longer than usual serving time ass there was a mix up of our orders with other tables. They compensated by giving a free sliced cake that was just okay. Don’t expect much from their breakfast selection as well. STAFF- The staff are all very respectful and accomodating EXCEPT for the guy on the front desk during our checkout. He was rude and was blaming us for not paying the balance when we arrived. And the initial room that he charged for us was at 10,500 which was very different from the initial quotation that I got. So the problem came during checkout, since as I have mentioned, the room charged to us was differently priced. But the manager/supervisor was able to sort it out and gave an additional 20% discount for the room. Now another problem is that, they keep on messaging us that we have to pay the 1,200 meal voucher since we did not pay the balance upon arrival and that the voucher is only valid if we did pay during the arrival. I messaged them back that we were ready6 to pay then but was told that the front desk was closed already. It was not also mentioned to us about that condition for the said voucher."

"We loved our stay here especially our kids. Rooms has been renovated and upgraded based on our last visits. Cool air, nice place to relax, there were so many things we can do in this resort and being here alone is already a very nice experience. Though we have to go out a lot of times to buy our food, but my kids still love the experience. We also get to visit places in Tagaytay since the location of the resort is just at the boundary of Tagaytay and Nasugbu. We will definitely go back here and would highly recommend this resort to families."
