CLOUDSPA SANCTUARY is a high-end private-hot-spring wellness retreat nestled in the ancient city of Datong, Shanxi. Its core philosophy, "Reinterpreting the Siheyuan," deeply integrates the volcanic landscape inspiration of the local region with a "healing aesthetic," aiming to create a tranquil sanctuary for guests—a place that connects history, nature, and the inner self. The hot-spring courtyards, built with local basalt stone, echo with flowing springs, channeling the quiet energy of the earth. The project is designed in‑house by the founder team, including architecture，interior，landscape and lighting，ensuring the full realization of their vision. The design harmoniously weaves together architectural texture, indigenous nature, and a contemporary aesthetic. The project was founded by a couple who bring dual expertise in architecture and psychology. It has not only won top honors at the prestigious 2025 LIV Hospitality Design Awards but also become the Global Gold Winner in the Hotel Design category at the Asia Design Prize. Prior to this, it had successively received multiple international accolades, including the New York Design Awards, Rome Design Awards, MUSE Design Awards, World Design Awards, and D&A Design Awards, showcasing its cross‑disciplinary innovation and aesthetic excellence. In its daily operations, the founder weaves healing philosophy into every touchpoint，from spatial design，natural cuisine to attentive service.
