Staying at the West Lake Mercure in Hangzhou was so rejuvenating 🌿. The French minimalist decor, clean and bright rooms, and walking distance to West Lake make it perfect for leisurely strolls along the shore, experiencing the beauty of Jiangnan's West Lake. The bedding was soft and comfortable, the service was attentive and thoughtful, and breakfast included local flavors. Overall, the stay was exceptional. It’s a peaceful retreat amidst the hustle and bustle, a hidden gem for Hangzhou travelers, definitely worth a return visit!

I'm so glad I chose the Intercontinental Qiandao Lake, Shilin for this stay. Our two-day hotel trip perfectly met the vacation needs of my entire family, from the youngest to the oldest. The hotel's location and environment are superb. Although it's a bit far from the high-speed rail station, its exclusive spot on the Xianshan Peninsula allowed us to avoid the holiday crowds and enjoy a quiet vacation. We ate all our meals at the hotel for two consecutive days. The Chinese restaurant's flavors were unexpectedly delicious, and the breakfast quality at the all-day Western restaurant was also very high. Ordering noodles and coffee by scanning a QR code was a very thoughtful touch. During our meals, staff members even came to ask about our dining experience and handed out small gifts, making for a great interactive experience. The hotel offers a rich schedule of activities throughout the day, including hiking, sound therapy, and lake tours, so there's never a dull moment. Our butler, Jolie, provided attentive and thoughtful service. She patiently answered all our questions and requests, making it the best service I've ever received at a hotel. The environment here is fantastic! The lobby has books, a guzheng (Chinese zither), and calligraphy brushes, plus two adorable parrots 🦜. I'm very satisfied with this hotel; the rooms are spotless, and the front desk staff are wonderful. It's also very convenient for getting around. To go to West Lake, you just need to take the subway to Xiuxi Road Station. I really love it and will definitely stay here again next time I'm in Hangzhou.

There's always a concern about staying at nature-themed hotels this season: the environment might not be very appealing. However, this hotel was a pleasant surprise. The design team had clearly considered autumn scenery from the very beginning, carefully selecting trees and even including reeds, creating a unique and enchanting atmosphere under the autumn sun (actually, it's winter). Staying there and appreciating it fully evoked the feel of a Canadian or North American forest movie. Behind the hotel is a large autumn woodland where you can walk on fallen leaves in the morning – very relaxing and comfortable. And at night, the sky is filled with far more stars than just one or two, along with a full moon. The hotel staff were very welcoming, and there were even some cats, creating a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere. Of course, there were some drawbacks. Not all rooms were well-maintained; some areas looked quite old, and some chairs on the balcony were dusty, which negatively impacted the experience. Hopefully, future guests will check the outdoor areas for dust before checking in. As for the issue of the condition of the rooms, I really don't know how to suggest improvements. Previous guests have mentioned the cold winter weather, but this time, they had provided heaters, which was very thoughtful. In short, the scenery and architectural design are both excellent and worth seeing, especially in autumn!

I booked this hotel thinking it was close to West Lake. Before checking in, I quickly scrolled through Xiaohongshu and didn't have high expectations, but after staying there, I felt it was pretty good. From the moment we checked in, I had a good feeling. The front desk saw we had a child and offered to include breakfast for them, even though we only had a double breakfast originally. Honestly, when we travel, my husband never wakes up for breakfast, so it's usually just my son and me eating anyway, but I still appreciate the front desk's thoughtfulness. The room was also great; the 2-meter bed was perfectly fine for two adults and one child, not at all cramped. The bedding and cleanliness were good too. The soundproofing wasn't as bad as some reviews claimed; I thought it was decent. When we left, we accidentally left our new headphones on the nightstand, and they promptly helped us find them. The view from the 10th-floor observation deck was also nice. Overall, it's great value for money and suitable for families who want to visit West Lake.

The room offers a stunning view right in the middle of the lake. Opening and closing your eyes feels like being immersed in a traditional Chinese ink wash painting. It's very quiet and suitable for both family trips and romantic getaways. The service was excellent, especially Lucy Hu, the Guest Relations Manager, who proactively helped us decorate the room and upgraded our floor. She really pays attention to the guest experience. The hotel gym is beautiful, but it lacks some prominent signs and is a bit hard to find. I suggest improving staff training on giving directions and adding larger signage (the current ones are too small to be seen easily). At check-out, the front desk even gave us a Qiandao Lake refrigerator magnet souvenir, which I absolutely loved – it was a very thoughtful touch.

Front desk staff, Ms. Wang Xiao, kindly upgraded my mother's room for free. The room was spacious and bright, with a bathtub for a relaxing soak. The environment was quiet, ensuring a great night's rest. Breakfast was plentiful, and they even gave us a souvenir upon check-out. I'll definitely recommend this place to my friends and family when they visit Hangzhou.

The hotel is right next to West Lake. The lobby is beautiful, and check-in is on the first floor with a great view. Alan, the concierge, proactively helped me change rooms from my original one to a new one. The service was excellent, and he even moved my luggage for me. There's a snack street nearby with a wide variety of food options. Parking is also convenient with an underground parking lot.
