"Hotel was excellent, the staffs managed to arrange for me to check-in early despite check-in time to be usually at 2pm, I managed to put my bags down and rest and catch my day trip in Golmud, furthermore they also helped reschdule my breakfast and also informed me on the laundry services available. Overall, staying at Kaibang Hotel is the smoothest and most enjoyable experience"

"The room was decent. The hotel is very close to the station, which is a huge convenience. Finding food nearby is also easy. For those arriving by long-distance bus, you don't even need to go to the bus terminal; just ask the driver to drop you off as they pass the hotel, which is incredibly convenient."

"This stay at Atour was such a pleasant surprise! I had originally booked a standard double room, but upon check-in, the front desk staff were incredibly kind and upgraded me to a suite for free – I was instantly thrilled! The suite was much larger than the double room, with a well-designed layout, spotless and odor-free. The bedding was soft and comfortable, with a wide selection of pillows, and the soundproofing was excellent, ensuring a good night's sleep. The bathroom had a separate shower and toilet, and the toiletries were of high quality. All the facilities were new and functional. From arrival to check-in, the service was warm and attentive, with a gentle and patient attitude. The hotel environment was elegant and quiet, and it was very convenient for getting around. This unexpected room upgrade completely enhanced my experience, offering excellent value for money. It's the perfect choice for business trips and vacations, and I'll definitely choose Atour again next time!"

"As a branded chain hotel, both the hardware and software are guaranteed. The front desk staff are warm and polite, the rooms are quiet, clean, and comfortable, and the bedding is soft and skin-friendly. There's a ”Ma You Yu” chain restaurant next door, serving naan-style grilled fish, making dining very convenient. Parking is also easy, making it driver-friendly. The only drawback is that the shower towels are a bit old; after multiple washes, they've become somewhat rough and stiff, making them uncomfortable to use."

"On June 28, 2026, at 7:00 AM, after a high-speed train and a slower 'green-skin' train journey, we finally arrived at the Golmud Huanghe International Hotel. The friendly front desk lady warmly welcomed us and quickly processed our check-in. She even thoughtfully gave us two breakfast vouchers and advised us to rest well at the hotel after eating to acclimatize to the high altitude, rather than engaging in strenuous activities right away. The hotel's location is excellent, making it convenient for dining and shopping. It also has its own parking lot, which is very friendly for self-driving tourists. The guest rooms are spacious, bright, clean, and hygienic, and the housekeeping staff diligently cleaned them every day. The hotel breakfast was abundant, offering both Chinese and Western options, as well as ******* tsampa and milk tea. The freshly prepared beef noodles were particularly good. They delivered complimentary fruit and snacks every day. On two occasions when we left early for a day tour, they even prepared packed lunches for us. The lobby manager, Xiaofang, was incredibly kind. She gave us a discount when we extended our stay and even added us on WeChat, checking in daily to see how we (being seniors in our sixties) were adapting to the high altitude. The Golmud Huanghe International Hotel truly felt like a warm and considerate temporary home for us in the highlands. We are very grateful for the efforts of every staff member at the hotel. Our trip to the Northwest highlands was delightful, and none of our initial worries materialized; we completed our high-altitude itinerary smoothly. I highly recommend staying at this hotel if you visit Golmud. Five-star rating!"

"The hotel isn't located in the city center, but there are plenty of restaurants downstairs. The rooms were clean and tidy, and the facilities were new. There's a parking lot in the backyard with two fast charging stations; a young man was there to guide us through parking and charging, and even helped with our luggage. The receptionist was beautiful and kind. There's also a laundry room and a printer; I needed to print a form, and the receptionist helped me with that too. The rooms were well-soundproofed and quiet. They even provided complimentary yogurt."

"Parking was extremely difficult; parking spaces were hard to find, and you had to drive quite far in to find one. The parking area was also rather narrow. The service didn't feel like that of a chain brand. When I went to check in, I had already booked two breakfasts on Ctrip, and my Ctrip order clearly included two breakfasts. There were two people at the front desk; one said there weren't any. I insisted that breakfast was included, and he asked the other person, who checked and said there weren't any. It was very awkward. I showed him my Ctrip order on my phone, saying that there were breakfasts included, and only then did he confirm and give me two vouchers. It was so embarrassing. I told my companion three times that breakfast was included and that we had booked it. On the first day, when I went to eat breakfast, no one checked the room card or voucher. On the second day, when I went around 9 AM, someone checked it. Also, around 4 or 5 AM, there was a loud noise outside the window, louder than the air conditioner's outdoor unit. I don't know what it was, but I was woken up by it both nights."

I'd love to come back to Golmud again; it's a city I really like!"

"After visiting Chaka Salt Lake, we stayed here. I only learned upon arriving that Golmud is the second largest city in Qinghai. The hotel's location is excellent, not far from the famous Salt Lake Co., Ltd. building. When taking a taxi in Golmud and mentioning Salt Lake Co., Ltd. to the driver, you could feel their immense pride. This hotel recently opened, so the facilities are very new, and the breakfast is also good. There are many dining options nearby, and the service is attentive, maintaining the consistent quality Mercure hotels are known for."
