"This was my first stay at Intercity, and it exceeded my expectations. My husband and I have been checking out various hotels, from luxurious ones to cozy guesthouses, and this Yangzhou branch was by far the most comfortable and relaxing. They truly made us feel at home. Every staff member treated guests like family, which was incredibly warm. On our first day, the doorman meticulously washed our car because we had driven a long distance and there were many 'bug corpses' on the windshield. We were genuinely touched by his thoughtful gesture. Their enthusiastic service continued until we entered the elevator. Such small details were perfectly executed, which made me think that the rest of our stay would be just as good. And indeed, the breakfast was another pleasant surprise. Although the dining room was small, the dishes were exquisite and plentiful. Moreover, the service from Restaurant Supervisor Mu added another layer of excellence; honestly, there's nothing to complain about. (Also, Mao Mao from the laundry room was very patient and meticulous, and the laundry equipment was spotless, completely eliminating any concerns about hygiene). During our interactions, I learned more about Intercity's philosophy: to foster mutual respect and closeness, bridging the gap between people through the best service possible. This is truly a wonderful thing. We are very grateful for the warm service provided by every staff member at Intercity 💕. We will definitely be back 😊💕. "What a fantastic vacation experience! Over four days and three nights, we got to try out buildings 9, 2, and 8, each with its own advantages. My personal preference, in descending order, is 2 ≥ 9 ≥ 8. First, let's talk about the courtyard room in building 2. What I loved most was waking up to lush greenery right outside my window. I could step into the courtyard in my pajamas and soak in nature. Even when it rained, there was no need to worry about not being able to go out; there were tables and chairs in the courtyard perfect for quietly watching the rain. It truly maximized that relaxed, vacation feel, ideal for unwinding and recharging. The facilities weren't old either; I found them perfectly fine. Next up is the suite in building 9. It's spacious, featuring a living room, bedroom, study, and two bathrooms. The Chinese-style decor felt grand and expansive, and the garden views from the window were also excellent. It would be very comfortable for a family. Since there were only two of us, we didn't need such a large space, which is why I personally preferred building 2, though building 9 was indeed great. Building 8 is the newest and most modern. It offers breakfast (which 2 and 9 don't), and it was quite good. The window seats in the restaurant also boasted amazing views. They even provide complimentary bedtime snacks (again, something 2 and 9 lack) and you can choose hot milk, which was a very thoughtful touch. The room quality was also higher, with Bulgari toiletries, Evian and Nongfu Spring bottled water, and better quality disposable slippers and mattresses. However, my personal priority for a resort hotel is the scenery, so building 8 ranked slightly lower for me. For those who prioritize room quality and service details, this building is definitely worth considering. The overall landscaping and service throughout the hotel grounds were excellent. Before coming, I wondered if people were exaggerating when they said you don't need to leave the hotel for a vacation, but after experiencing it, I realized it's true. Staying at the Yingbinguan is perfect for a low-energy, lazy person like me who doesn't want to wake up early for itineraries or battle crowds at tourist attractions. Beyond the hotel, everyone we encountered in Yangzhou – at attractions, restaurants, and museums – was incredibly nice. Thank you, Yangzhou, for giving us such precious travel memories. We'll definitely be back for another vacation!"

"We originally booked a deluxe twin room, but when they found out we had two seniors and one adult, they graciously upgraded us to a duplex room for free, which was larger and had bigger beds. Everyone, from the security guard at the entrance to the front desk staff, and even our exclusive hostess Xiao Chen, was incredibly warm and welcoming. They constantly greeted us, helped with our luggage, and when the seniors needed to cross the road for a taxi, the doorman even helped them across. The hotel is super close to Dongguan Street and Dongguan Ancient Ferry, and an evening stroll along the ancient canal opposite the hotel was very pleasant. They also offered small desserts every night, with different varieties each day."

"The hotel facilities are excellent, very clean, and the environment is superb. The front desk staff are attentive and polite to guests. I stayed for 3 days and 2 nights and was very satisfied with everything. It's convenient to get to scenic spots by bus, the breakfast is rich and delicious, and the cleaning aunt on the 6th floor did a wonderful job. I'm extremely happy with my stay here and this hotel will be my first choice next time I visit Yangzhou."

"Overall, the hotel is okay, but the service definitely falls short. As a Michelin one-star restaurant, Shang Palace should ensure that at least one server is within the guest's line of sight and easily callable. Restaurants in Shanghai with a similar per-person cost to a Michelin one-star offer far superior service to Shang Palace. In comparable restaurants, there's always at least one staff member nearby, and some even lower-priced establishments manage this. My side plates were never changed during the meal (even when nearly full), and dirty dishes were left untouched unless I specifically called a waiter (and even then, only some were cleared). In Shanghai, restaurants of the same caliber and price point would clear plates without being asked, why would I need to call someone? Honestly, if the staff were more attentive with changing plates and clearing dishes, I wouldn't have to call them over. I hope the hotel addresses this. I believe these are basic expectations for a Michelin one-star restaurant and those in a similar price bracket (or higher). I'm not nitpicking; just come to Shanghai and experience it for yourself. However, the food was delicious. The stir-fried shredded eel (like soft-shelled turtle) in the couple's set menu was particularly good. The front desk staff also gave off a vibe of wanting to go home. The chef at breakfast, who was making fried eggs, was incredibly slow for two days in a row (not sure if it was the same person). They insisted on finishing whatever they were doing before making my eggs, and even then, my sunny-side-up eggs were overcooked. The cleaning staff came to clean my room while I was at breakfast. Shouldn't they wait until after breakfast hours? I hadn't put away any of my belongings. I can only hope that Shangri-La staff wouldn't steal my skincare products 😔, and the room wasn't even cleaned properly... what was the rush? I've stayed at several Shangri-La properties, and this one is the worst experience so far. That said, it's not terrible, and I still recommend it. I just hope the hotel improves!"

"We switched from a hotel near the Grand Canal to this one, a classic five-star establishment. From the moment we walked in, the staff made us feel incredibly welcome, truly setting a vacation mood. The concierge service was outstanding. The hotel's location is absolutely perfect for a trip to Yangzhou; it feels like Daming Temple, Slender West Lake, morning tea, the Ancient City Park, and Yangzhou Banquet are all part of the hotel's amenities. The best part? Soaking in the hot springs after a long day of sightseeing is the most anticipated moment of the trip. We loved it so much that we immediately extended our stay for another night. Highly recommended! For a family of three, getting this level of service, scenery, and amenities for just 200 per person is truly excellent value. It's definitely our top choice for visiting Yangzhou with kids."

"The hotel's location is super convenient, and the staff are incredibly friendly and attentive. The atmosphere is lovely, and the breakfast, in particular, was fantastic – a wide variety of dishes and delicious, plus they even give you their homemade milk skin! We received welcome fruit upon check-in and a souvenir when we left, which was a wonderful surprise. If I had to pick out a couple of minor points, the room was a bit small with no city view, and there was some dust on the desk… but these are minor issues; overall, our stay was excellent!"

"The hotel I chose in Yangzhou this time was very satisfied. The location of the hotel is very convenient. There are many delicious foods around. It is also very good to visit. From the lobby to the room, it is very stylish. The whole house is smart. The room is clean and tidy. The staff is also very enthusiastic. "Let's start with the downsides: Since the family room can accommodate three adults, there should be three sets of towels, bath towels, tooth mugs, drinking glasses, and coffee cups, not just two. Even children or teenagers need their own bath towel and tooth mug. Also, the curtain button was sometimes a bit unresponsive. Now for the positives: 1. The location is excellent, making it convenient to get anywhere. You can walk to the South Gate of Slender West Lake, and there are plenty of restaurants nearby. 2. The breakfast was good; while not exceptionally lavish, it had everything you'd expect. The coffee came from a machine and tasted great. 3. The terraces on four of the floors are a major highlight! Breakfast is on the 11th floor (top floor), and on a nice day, you can dine on the terrace, enjoying the lush forest view and a distant glimpse of the Qiling Pagoda while being shielded from the sun – a fantastic experience. You can also enjoy the night view in the evening. 4. The hairdryer is a Dyson, and in the lobby downstairs, there's a coffee machine, tea, hot water, and bottled water available."

"Surprisingly this 5 ⭐️ hotel has a Executive Club floor with Oriental looking room. Well equipped with all the pampering hotel amenities. What wow us was the luxurious Laundry Room 🧺 which can only be accessed with your keycard, Best thing, it was fully furnished like a lounge with cool music 🎵 🎶 . Great experience, worth considering for a short stay ✌️"
