"Yangzhou State Guesthouse is located within a sprawling area where many of the facilities are within walking distance. It is like staying in a holiday resort. You can either walk to the different facilities or take the buggy provided. The Slender West Lake (瘦西湖） is just beside the Guesthouse and is definitely worth a visit both during the day and in the evening. A bit too hot to visit in the summer, but it will be nice during spring and/or autumn."

"The first room had some minor hygiene issues, but luckily the front desk staff was very good and quickly changed rooms to resolve the issue. I always feel that this type of hotel shouldn't have this kind of problem. The location is convenient to go anywhere. There is a shopping mall opposite the hotel. It is also close to eating, shopping and going to Slender West Lake. The breakfast is rich."

"The location is superb, right by the parking lot for Dongguan Street Food Street, with Geyuan Garden just next door and the You1 bus stop right beside it, making it incredibly convenient to reach all the attractions. The guesthouse itself has a quaint, old-world charm. The rooms are clean and tidy, perfect for fully embracing the relaxed pace of Yangzhou life. The owner was incredibly kind and welcoming. They helped us with our luggage, gave us a free room upgrade, and provided detailed travel advice, including recommendations for various local eateries like Yechun Teahouse and Cuchadanfan, which were all great value for money. Compared to my fast-paced group tour of Yangzhou 11 years ago, this 'Yangzhou Man' (slow travel) independent trip was far more enjoyable."

"Very good location, right at the start of the walking shopping district. All the staffs are very polite and helpful. The children like this hotel the best from the 14 days trip in China. Laundry is good and staff help to manage the laundry services. Will stay again if I come to Yangzhou again"

"I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Yangzhou! It truly feels like a hidden gem. From the moment I got off the bus, I felt the essence of service. They thoughtfully opened the car door, helped with my luggage, and patiently guided me up the elevator to the fifth floor. As soon as the elevator door opened, I was greeted by hotel staff who meticulously asked about my check-in details. After super-fast check-in, they took me to my room and told me that the water and Coke and Sprite in the mini-fridge were free. If I ran out of water, I could call the front desk and they would bring more. They patiently explained the hotel's amenities (the laundry room, the gym, the outdoor balcony), and I could just order laundry service by bagging it. It was absolutely amazing! My room didn't include breakfast, but two breakfasts were added upon check-in. The selection wasn't particularly extensive, but it was excellent, and the freshly cooked food was thoughtfully served to my seat. On the last day, I was debating whether to do laundry. I went to the dryer just in time and found that the cleaning lady had already put my clothes away (some of them were thicker, like jeans). Since I was in a hurry to go to the Grand Canal Museum, the cleaning lady told me that if I was in a hurry, I could take them out in advance so that it would be easier to pack my suitcase. Value for money: Throughout the whole process, the service was really good... I will choose Huazhu Club again next time! It's really good... I highly recommend it!"

"Excellent hotel in great location. The highlight was the service provided by the staff which was always with a smile. Our traveling party was unfortunately sick when we got to Yangzhou but the hotel was located close to the hospital. They sent us a lot of fruits to the room, wishing speedy recovery. There’s a small newly renovated children playroom next to the gym. I love the complimentary laundromat which was a blessing when traveling with little children. Breakfast was a good variety, and plenty of bottled mineral water around the hotel that you can take to keep yourself hydrated. Front desk 苹果and 桔子 provided excellent service."

"We visited Yangzhou for the weekend with our children. This hotel came highly recommended by a friend, and it truly surpassed her expectations – what a fantastic stay! Its location is incredibly convenient; Pi Shi Street is within walking distance, and Slender West Lake is just a 10-15 minute taxi ride away. The room amenities are very thoughtful, including a mini-fridge and a disinfection cabinet, plus they provided two key cards. Breakfast was also plentiful. The lobby offers complimentary coffee and snacks, creating a warm and relaxing ambiance. Many thanks to the staff for their enthusiastic welcome. We look forward to staying here again!"
