I visited Chiang Mai 8 times, but it was my first time visiting this hotel. Above all, if you appreciate the active interest and response at the reception, especially PAUL. KAL. OHMY I will remember the gratitude of ohmy number 3. The welcome gift box made me feel the dignity of a special hotel. an appropriate amount a well-managed facility Kind steps are a good asset for hotels. I will next agine see you next PS: If there is a dinner or lunch buffet event at the hotel due to a big buyer's visit, I hope it will be promoted more.

The hotel is spacious. The front desk is helpful and has upgraded me to a better room. It’s within walking distant to the night market (1.1 kms). The only setback is to do with house keeping as the tea and coffee supplies were not refilled and didn’t replace plastic bag for rubbish bin after cleaning.

Hotel is nice but dated. Staff is ok, locations is a bit far from old city.

Hotel is slightly runned down. The electricty in our room was shaky. My king size bed was two twin beds with wheels put side by side. If you the moved, so did the beds. Cleaning is a little questionable. I dropped a flaky pastry on the rug, and it was only swept, and the crumbs were dispersed throughout the rug. The only thing good about the hotel was its location and price.

It is too old to enjoy. Aircon generates large noise that affects our sleeping, turn off aircon finally. The towel are old and shabby. Toilet is very old.  Mattress is good and big.

The lobby air conditioner not cooling n have a bad smell.hope can improve.thanks

Great location. Amazing staff and services

We stayed 5 nights at the Empress Hotel, and location is ok, as there are tuc tucs at the end of the street that can take you anywhere. The feel, decor, facilities, smell are all old-style, but it was fine for us, as we spent most of the say out of the hotel and the price was decent for what you get. Breakfast was reasonable, including fresh fruit and salads, good bacon, not good coffee. Check-in and check-out was quick and smooth, and they put us in connecting rooms with two single and one king bed per our request, which was good customer attention. Rooms were quiet, decent size except the bathrooms. The fitness room, well, at least they have one but please, if you have one, keep it maintained ! Only two of around 10 cardio machines were in working order - just fix them - and give the equipment a clean and over haul, add a few mats, towels, waters ... My recommendation is to make a few investments to improve things like a proper coffee machine, fitness room refurbish, room decor, and ensure an english-speaking manager walking around to be "visible", greeting the guests, ask how things are, and helping to guide his/her staff to become fully autonomous in improvements. The housekeeping team were very good and worked hard and all day. I would recommend the Empress, but they need to start to catch up to other hotels and what international visitors are expecting.

A decent hotel located in the heart of Chang Klan, Chiang Mai. Walking distance to the Night Bazaar Area with plentiful choices of night markets, and comfortable travelling distance to other districts such as Nimman and the Old City. Very friendly staff and a pity there are no toothbrushes and toothpastes provided.

We enjoyed a sauna more than a swimming pool. The location was good for us, but it depends on guest's destinations. There was a nice, cheap, and delicious Chinese restaurant around the corner from the hotel.  

Very nice hotel. Welcome snacks box is given to all the hotel guests. Fruits plate is provided.Live music band is in the bar which is very entertaining and took us back to our younger days.Breakfast is also very good. It's typically 4 stars hotel. If you want to have quiet atmosphere and stay in the central night bazar, I would recommend to choose,The Empress Hotel Chaing Mai.

I love stay this hotel . Very good service and clean. Not far from airport 😊
