"The hotel is located in Summertown, a relatively wealthy area in Oxford. The town is beautiful and you can walk to Oxford in 30 minutes. There is a bus to Oxford Station at the hotel entrance. The hotel facilities and sanitation services can only be said to be average, because it is cheap"

"Facilities: The hotel is a residential building, the room is very small, and the aisle is narrow; there is no air conditioning, even if it is more than 10 degrees, the room can obviously feel hot (stay cautious in summer! ! !); there is still a walk distance of nearly half an hour from Oxford
The advantage is that it has its own parking lot, but the entrance is a bit narrow and needs attention

"It's really a super nice homestay, the administrator Mark is handsome and humorous, very enthusiastic, the staff are very friendly, the sanitary conditions are better than the London homestay I stayed a few nights, don't be confused by the photos from the Internet, the inside is actually very nice , The room is small but very cozy, the breakfast is especially good! Although the location is not in the city center, but the bus station is at the door, it is super convenient and fast to go to Bicester and Oxford University, the price is perfect, recommended! ! !"

"It’s not really a hotel, but more like a B&B with some hotel like features. Moving up the luggage to the room on the top floor was rather inconvenient although the receptionist,Alex, was very helpful. Breakfast was ok, but since there isn’t a restaurant in the accommodation, you’ll have to drive out to find food beyond breakfast. Besides the receptionist Alex, I didn’t quite get a warm feeling when we encountered the hosts, which is unusual given our experience in other cities in the UK so far. Other than that it was a pleasant stay."

"The lodge has an excellent location for seeing Oxford for any length of time. It's a short walk to the city centre -- including where the bus from London drops you off -- or local shops and eateries in the other direction. The staff were knowledgeable, friendly, helpful, and well-travelled themselves. Facilities were all clean, comfortable, and affordable. We liked it so much that we went back again, and already looking forward to next time!"

"We were attending a wedding in Oxford and the city centre hotels were very expensive. The reviews for the Black Boy were good so we booked. It was a joy to stay here and we had a fabulous weekend.. Great location - about 10 mins in taxi from centre and bus stop about 5 mins or so walk. Buses went to the city centre and railway station. The room was lovely, as were the welcoming staff. Breakfasts were very good and the pub had a nice atmosphere and an outside garden area. Would recommend to anyone wanting to stay in Oxford."

"Very good homestay. The area is small, but everything is available, especially very, very clean. Spotless! With a history of more than one hundred years, it is simple and elegant, and it is very close to the school where the child is interviewed! like very much! Hope to come again next time!"
