"The place is okay"

"I took my wife here for her 60th, amazing staff receptionist charlotte was warm and knowledgable, very kind giving us a token due to birthday. The infinity pool is amazing warm clean, Shrigley would make much more money if they served drinks while in the pool, but we would still be there now. The rooms are adiquate they are clean, the shower's are amazing, Dinning for evenning meal again was excellent, the service is 11/10 and I have been in a number of Spa the meal cost were really well priced with excellent food. Breakfast in the morning self service again pleanty to choose from and again tasty with great choice. It is a amazing spa with the ability toplay gold or have a number of treatments, and well priced, I will return there"

"We stayed here for a couple of nights over the weekend. The room albeit quirky was clean, with everything you need for a simple stayover. And quirky rooms are due to the age of the building I guess..! The staff here couldn't do more to make our stay an enjoyable one. And the food was exceptional and served by wonderful, friendly staff. Will definitely come back here as the rooms are real cheap and well worth a visit..!"

"Stayed on 20 June 2025 I chose this place because I was looking for somewhere different to the typical hotels and BnBs during my Europe trip. I was more mobile with a rented car. The photos in the booking website did not do it justice as it gave a “******* castle” vibe but in reality is lovely and bright. In addition, the relatively low price and limited time to book. I am puzzled that it's ratings did not exceed 4 stars as it exceeded my expectations. The staff were warm, kind, and prompt. Breakfast was excellent, with the amazing view from the room, overlooking a meadow with grazing sheep. An added bonus: it’s located along the Grindstone Path, making it a perfect and convenient spot for hiking enthusiasts."

"I didn't book the old hall, but this one is really good. The cleanliness and comfort of the room is my most important. The decoration is red classical style. There is a wedding atmosphere under the floor."
