California Hotel Saigon & Rooftop Pool Reviews

The staff was really impressive, I wasn’t very mobile when I stayed due to a shoulder injury. They took extra care of me and help me when I needed it most.

Overall everything with the service was great but the advertising for pool was not met with the expectation of the pictures. The charge for the sauna was unreasonable expensive if you had a pool should be included. Maybe need to update more of the rooms.

Unfortunately, out of the 9 hotels I’ve stayed in Vietnam, this was the worst one that I’ve stayed in. The reception staff were very indifferent, not even saying welcome when we checked in, or even having the decency of asking us how our stay was etc, upon checking out. As we entered our room, we immediately noticed blood stains on the toilet floor, which the staff didn’t take seriously as we insisted they clean up. The breakfast was very limited. The only good things about this hotel was the fridge, bed, swimming pool, door men and location. I would not book this hotel again unfortunately.

The overall cleanliness of hotel is good however one of the room having cockroach on the bed, we complaint several times only the hotel agree to change room for us and upgraded the room with bathtub. The other issue is the bathtub seems having jacuzzi function but there is no way to switch it on. The bathtub’s water always leak out via the jacuzzi hole. The breakfast for weekdays is all cold, and finally we get a hot breakfast in the last day morning. The light in the hotel is too dark, no matter in the room or common area. Hotel location is good, near to restaurants, Ben Thanh Market street food and etc.

My family loved everything and I highly recommend California Hotel  its cozy rooms, friendly staff, serene atmosphere and customer service. A big thumbs up

The location is very convenient to tourists as it is near the Ben Thanh Market and also a lot of famous food establishment in walking distance. The room needs a good vacuum since it is carpeted.

For breakfast, the number of branches is small and the swimming pool is small! I chose a room without windows, but I used it without any inconvenience because it has an air conditioner.

Perfect hotel for me - staff are helpful, rooms are a good size, nice pool area and within walking distance of everything I wanted to see and do.

This hotel is very nearby to City Center. Most of the main attractions are walking distance of maximum 15-20 minutes walk. You will save money in transportation for visiting all these places. Hotel is quite clean and nice. Visit the roof top swimming pool and spa. Eat healthy Vietnamese food at the level 1 You can even exchange money at the counter with a better rate than the market rates.

Friendly and helpful staff. Rooms need upgrading. Musty smell. Do not take the room with no windows. It's nearby the market, museum and other POI's. Knock ya self out 🌝😮💨..

Polite service and great location for the main attractions in HCM. Breakfast was OK. Bed was fairly comfortable and room was spacious. My only issue was that the room and corridors felt humid and damp.

Service was excellent 👍 Booked only a few days before arrival thus quite expensive
