"My friend and I booked massages at the Bell Spa. The massages were so relaxing and they use all organic natural products from the Blue Mountains. Deni was my massage therapist and gave me an amazing facial and mini massage. I walked out glowing! Thanks Deni! I also purchased an amazing geranium and lavender body soufflé body lotion. The products they use are IKou. Enjoy a nice cup of tea after your massage. Please visit the store. They make fresh bread daily, along with pastries and sandwiches. The locals love stopping at the store for fresh bread. After our massages we picked up sandwiches for lunch… egg salad with Brie, and a roasted vegetable with hummus. Both were excellent. They also sell their own brand of coffee beans worthhpicking up."

Housekeeper very helpful in finding me a hairdryer when there wasn’t one in our room. Loved the quaint shops and places to eat in the resort. Would love to return at some point."

"Lovely long weekend stay in the one bedroom cottage. There are two working fireplaces one in the bedroom and one in the main kitchen and living area. Both were cozy and added to the enjoyment on the winter weekend. The bed was comfortable although no pillow options. The kitchen was not as well stocked as other accommodation we have stayed at. There are a limited number of utensils and large pans to use. Luckily, we had brought some tools from home. The gardens and surroundings are beautiful. Incredible outdoor bush hikes and beach walks. And lots of wild turkeys running around to entertain you in the morning. I also highly recommend the spa. Although the soundproofing could be better in the rooms, the therapist was lovely and professional and the treatment extremely relaxing."

"It was a nice hotel to stay, everything is there, and a lots of shop nearby. All were walkable, the beach and IgA etc, The kids enjoyed the pool a lot and also the beach. "Except that there is no parking lot, everything is above the motel level. Parking is on the street at the door, free. The room is very large, a lot of wooden, very comfortable, the bathtub is still a surf bathtub. Walk to the pier for five minutes. Very very good location."

"This was the 4 th time we’ve had an overnight stay to Ocean Beach Hotel. Almost every time has had a problem: the room’s hot water did not work, the power went out, and this time our room had an area of carpet that was saturated with water resulting in a strong musty smell in room. Each time the staff were apologetic and did try to rectify the situation. Certainly no fault of the staff on duty. This time we were offered a room change due to the smell, but by then it was late, we had unpacked and showered and were in our pj’s. so we declined the offer, thinking we’d get used to the musty smell. and I discovered the wet carpet afterwards. It’s a shame because the hotel is well located in town, has reasonable meals in the bistro downstairs, offers guests a free drink voucher, has off street parking, easy to get to… I understand that booking through booking platforms probably limits the options a manager has when things go wrong. It would go a long way, though, to be offered a discount on a future stay, for example. I suspect we have just had bad luck and it doesn’t mean we won’t stay again because we travel to Umina to visit family and the hotel is very convenient."
