Wingate by Wyndham Kingman Reviews

Wingate opened just a few months ago and offers modern rooms. Everything is still new and spotlessly clean. The rooms are spacious with ample storage for suitcases and clothes and are equipped with a refrigerator, microwave, and a coffee maker (including pods). The breakfast room is also spacious and comfortably furnished. Unfortunately, the buffet selection is somewhat limited and is based on the usual motel fare of sausages and scrambled eggs, cereal, and make-your-own waffles. The small pool at the rear of the building is attractively designed but is subject to the constant noise of the highway.

This was the softest bed I've encountered on my entire trip. I sank right into it, and the support was incredibly weak. People with back problems should be wary. The sofa bed was reasonably firm, but when you pull it open, the surface isn't flat; it's undulating! The mattress had two distinct bends. I called the hotel staff to take a look, and they were kind enough to say, "I'm sorry... but that's just the way it is." I asked for a different room, and they were just sorry, saying all sofa beds are like that! They pointed to a support area and said it was pushing against the bed, so it wouldn't flatten. I'm speechless. Either the person who originally booked the product wasn't responsible, or the service staff was being perfunctory and refusing to change rooms. In short, it was a terrible experience. I'd stayed at this brand before the first half of my trip, and my impression was pretty good, but this has really tarnished my experience.

The bathroom faucet sprayed, making it almost unusable. Using it would get the sink area, myself, and the floor all wet. The bed was very small, and even though we're both skinny women, it was still a squeeze. The breakfast was terrible. I had breakfast from 7:00 to 10:00, and we went at 9:00. There was very little variety, and many basic items were missing.

The gathering town is quite a distance away, and you have to drive to the town to have a meal, which is not very convenient. The internal facilities are standard, with no surprises or glitches.
