It’s the second time staying in this onsen. It’s overall good. We stayed over the weekend and the onsen was very crowded. Other than that, it was great.

A truly classic Japanese onsen hotel. The service, cuisine, and onsen were all absolutely outstanding! I'm already thinking about a return visit when the weather gets a bit cooler. The surrounding area only features a small onsen town to explore, but the real charm of this place lies in enjoying the delicious food, relaxing in the onsen, and getting a truly restful sleep.

Right as I stepped out of the subway station, I was lucky enough to catch the hotel's shuttle bus. The driver already had the list of guests checking in that day. Our hotel room was incredibly spacious, and the service was truly impeccable. The Kaiseki dinner we had ordered was exceptionally fresh and delicious. The hotel also features a traditional *kominka* (old Japanese house), which is said to be a lovely tea room. However, you do need to make an advance reservation at the front desk. Both the Kin-no-yu (Golden Spring) and Gin-no-yu (Silver Spring) were absolutely fantastic. Despite having a scabbed-over leg injury, I couldn't resist taking a dip in the hot springs. To my surprise, my wound showed no ill effects whatsoever.

Chorakuen Ryokan is a truly traditional Japanese inn, with all rooms featuring tatami mat flooring. The ryokan boasts excellent onsen baths, and both the Kinsen (Gold Spring) and Ginsen (Silver Spring) were a delight to soak in. They also provide Chinese-speaking staff, and every employee was incredibly polite, always greeting guests with a bow. The kaiseki dinner we had ordered was absolutely delicious. Overall, a fantastic experience!

Located in a hot spring town, I visited on a weekday, so it was pleasantly uncrowded. The ambiance was incredibly pleasant, and the soak was wonderfully relaxing. I'd love to go back for another soak!

The room felt quite dated, and the low ceilings made it seem a bit small. Overall, it was just an average room. We dined in the room, which led to lingering food smells, and the food quality was also pretty standard, nothing special. The service, however, was excellent. We had a front desk staff member who was Shanghainese, so communicating in Chinese was effortless, and they even assisted us with booking a bus.

This is a very spacious Japanese onsen ryokan, which seems to be quite popular with local Japanese guests. We ordered the seasonal kaiseki dinner, and it was incredibly authentic, featuring fresh ingredients and truly exquisite flavors. Our Japanese-style room offered beautiful views upon opening the window. The onsen baths were exceptionally clean, featuring both 'Gold Spring' and 'Silver Spring' varieties. What was particularly interesting is that the men's and women's baths switch daily, providing a fresh and varied experience. Both the indoor and outdoor settings, and their overall ambiance, contributed to a wonderfully pleasant mood. While it was a bit on the pricier side, it was absolutely excellent value for money.

Beautiful hotel with various hot spring pools including the famous “gold” and “silver” hot spring water. Meals were delicious.

A great hot spring hotel with just the right temperature for service. Although it is a hotel with a history of more than 100 years, it has been completely renovated. The room is very comfortable and clean. The hot springs in Kinnin-yu are good for the skin. The meals are also very good. I will bring my family and friends to this hot spring hotel again.

I didn't book the popular hotel recommended on Xiaohongshu. I just looked up the reviews with a try-and-see attitude. I found that Zhaole's reviews were all good. To drive to Zhaole, you have to go up a small steep slope. When you drive up, you will feel a bright feeling. It's so beautiful. Exquisite Japanese hotel. The waiter enthusiastically helped us push the luggage. Our room is called Kurama. It is very big. There is a separate bathroom, toilet, and hot spring pool room. There is also a small hall. Although it is a hotel in 1985, the facilities are well maintained. The hotel has a shuttle bus to Arima Town. In fact, it takes 10 minutes to walk by yourself. The hotel has its own bath. There are not many people, many Japanese locals come. I also made an appointment for a private bath when I checked in. We went to Arima Town and walked back by ourselves. I wanted to climb up the slope. Unexpectedly, there were staff members watching from above, and they immediately drove down to pick us up. All the bedding was put on Taoq in front of me. It was taken down in front of me in the morning. The room was cleaned up and breakfast was served to us. I like this Japanese hotel very much. All the staff are very nice. There is also a lady at the front desk who is Chinese and feels very friendly. If you don't seek luxury, but seek service, cleanliness and comfort, I recommend this hotel.

The hotel's hot spring water is of very good quality and high concentration. It is very relaxing after a soak. It is highly recommended. However, I feel that the hotel needs some maintenance and upkeep, as the equipment is a bit old. However, the staff's service attitude and meals are still quite good!
