The location is absolutely fantastic. Cuihu Lake (Green Lake) is practically on the doorstep, feeling like the hotel's own private garden. Dining and drinking at Cuihu Lake's South Gate, visiting Yunnan University and Yunnan Normal University to explore the historical sites of the Southwest Associated University, checking out the former Yunnan Military Academy, and strolling through Kunming Old Street – almost all the spots I wanted to hit in a day were within walking distance. What's more, Kunming's electric scooters are abundant and incredibly convenient, making it super easy to get anywhere! Taxis are also readily available. The hotel also has its own distinctive restaurant. If you're looking for a quick bite, it seems like a great option! I didn't get a chance to eat there, but the food looked promising when I walked by. While the breakfast wasn't overly lavish, it offered most of the Yunnan specialties I was hoping for. The rice noodles, in particular, were exceptionally delicious! I even overheard guests at nearby tables raving about the rice noodles. As I was here on a business trip, it perfectly met all my needs. The hotel service was excellent, or rather, incredibly attentive. The staff were all super enthusiastic. They went above and beyond, offering flowers, then fruit, then drinks, and even presented me with flower cakes upon departure. The WeChat reminders were also incredibly thoughtful and considerate. It really made me feel that running a hotel these days must be tough – the competition is just insane, haha. The room was very clean. To be frank, it had all the essentials, but honestly, it was quite small... I think it's probably only suitable for business travelers. If you were to bring children, there definitely wouldn't be enough space to move around. It felt almost as if the bed was built on the windowsill, with only one side accessible for getting in and out, haha. However, for someone like me who misses their college dorm room, it was actually perfect. Curled up in the small bed, I felt very secure, haha. If two people were sleeping there, one would definitely find it inconvenient to get out of bed. But for business travelers prioritizing a superb location, I highly recommend it! I'd definitely choose this place again on my next trip.
