"This stay exceeded my expectations! The hotel environment was quiet, the room had excellent natural light, and the cleanliness was impeccable—not a speck of dust even in the corners. The cleaning staff were attentive and thorough, and the front desk agent patiently answered all my travel questions. The complimentary toiletries were of good quality, the hot water was consistent, and the soundproofing was effective. Nearby, there were supermarkets and restaurants, making it very convenient for getting around. Overall, it offered incredible value for money. It was a very comfortable stay and definitely worth coming back to."

AAnonymous UserEnvironment: The hotel is located within the Expo Garden, formerly the Japan Pavilion, now transformed into a guesthouse. The entire place feels like a 'Little Kyoto' in Yunnan; the environment is absolutely beautiful, no wonder the little cat can sleep so adorably! I wish I could spend an entire day just appreciating the hotel.
Service: The butler was incredibly warm and enthusiastic, patiently resolving every minor issue we brought up. We're very grateful and will definitely stay here again on our next visit!

GGuest UserMy family loved the hotel. It was spacious with a courtyard, a lake, and fish. The gym was large and well-equipped with a wide variety of equipment. There were two heated swimming pools, which were cleaned every night. The hot spring water next to the pools was also drained and replaced with fresh water the next day. There were both indoor and outdoor pools, and the hot spring water was drawn from underground. The whole hotel was a recreational attraction. We originally only booked one night, but we were so relaxed and comfortable at the hotel that we extended our stay for another day. When my child got wet, the staff even kindly took them to dry.

MMunanxiziA wonderful hideaway for a hot spring getaway. The private courtyard comes with its own hot tub, or you can switch things up and use the public pools. In the evenings, you can catch a stunning sunset, and the Ancient Dian Kingdom Museum is right across the way. The villa's amenities are top-notch, and it's very clean, even including a private sauna. There weren't any bugs this season, which made it a super comfortable and relaxing spot for a few friends to unwind. The breakfast and dinner at the mountaintop restaurant are both excellent, and they do Western dishes really well too!

GGuest UserSeriously impressed by Manshui Residence! It's a garden villa that offers a peaceful escape right in the heart of the city. Open the window and you're greeted by trees and fragrant flowers. The private hot spring bath was clean and so comfortable; my skin felt incredibly smooth afterwards. The location is super convenient, close to all the nearby attractions, and parking was a breeze. Although the breakfast selection wasn't huge, it was exquisite and fresh. Plus, there were free desserts and red wine in the evenings. The staff were warm and welcoming without being intrusive, making the whole experience fantastic. I've already recommended it to friends – if you're coming to Kunming, this is definitely the place to stay!

When I visit Kunming in winter, I really like staying at this hotel because I can enjoy the hot springs. Although it's an older establishment, the overall quality is still decent, and the location is convenient for feeding seagulls. The hotel even provides bread for feeding them. The toiletries have always been high quality. Since I was traveling with a child, the housekeeping staff proactively asked if we needed more bottled water, which was very thoughtful. The breakfast selection isn't huge, but the food tastes good. The rice noodles are particularly delicious. I forgot something in the room when checking out, and the hotel called to remind me and then helped mail it back. Thank you.

YYibierbigenhaosanThe private hot spring at the hotel was fantastic! It's so peaceful staying in the mountains. I'm not sure if it was because I booked through Trip.com, but they put me in the room furthest back, and I couldn't see anything from the balcony except trees. Overall, aside from the hotel facilities being a bit old, the service was good. The electric shuttle was always available when called, and the food was incredibly good value for money – pretty decent. We didn't go to the public hot springs because it was a holiday and too crowded, so we just used the one in our room. Overall, I'd recommend it to discerning travelers. If only the view from the private hot spring balcony stretched further, I'd give it a perfect score. I wonder if the rooms closer to the front are more expensive?

Ashuro Onsen Ticket: Very comfortable, not too crowded, and very clean.
The room was super spacious.

What needs to be emphasized is the need to strengthen emergency assistance training for special circumstances, especially for sudden illnesses suffered by guests. Staff should be enthusiastic and proactive, not cold and unresponsive when guests request urgent help. The male manager at Runyu Restaurant on the first floor on the evening of the 21st performed quite poorly.
What deserves praise is the enthusiastic and thoughtful lobby manager on the 22nd, and the reception center staff member (I didn't catch her name, she was petite and delicate) who proactively apologized and even gave us 3 New Year gifts, which felt auspicious and warm. This somewhat made up for the disappointment of the 21st. Thumbs up to both of them!

This is truly the most fairytale-like place in Kunming! The castle gate when driving in felt so grand and ceremonial. The lobby has incredibly high ceilings with a super luxurious chandelier – you don't even need a filter for your photos. The room we chose this time had a view of the entire hot spring. While it's a bit far from the city, the atmosphere absolutely makes it worth it. [Recommended for] Couples on a date, or for wedding photoshoots. Everyone on my social media was asking where I was!

I must seriously praise this hotel; it almost perfectly met all my expectations for a perfect stay.
What impressed me most was the impeccable service. From the moment I stepped into the lobby, every staff member greeted me with a smile. The front desk staff were exceptionally friendly, truly embodying the spirit of ”answering every question”—whether it was asking about local travel guides or nearby transportation routes, they patiently and meticulously provided the most professional advice, even thoughtfully marking the locations on the map. This genuine feeling of being treated with sincerity made the entire trip exceptionally comfortable.
The room's comfort was equally commendable. The space was very spacious, the room was spotless, and the gleaming floors and clean bedding provided a great sense of security. Most importantly, although the hotel is located in the city center and taxis are readily available, thanks to the excellent soundproofing, the room was remarkably quiet, completely undisturbed by the traffic outside, ensuring a high-quality night's sleep.
The convenience of living here is impeccable:
• Food delivery freedom: A wide variety of food options are available, and delivery is fast, easily satisfying late-night cravings.
• Dining options within easy reach: There's a small commercial area right next to the hotel, offering everything from authentic local snacks to specialty restaurants.
This stay truly made me feel ”at home.” I've already added this gem of a hotel to my favorites without hesitation, and I'll definitely choose it again next time!
