This hotel is beautifully nestled in nature, harmonizing seamlessly with its surroundings. Walking along the trails thoughtfully laid out around the property, one can easily feel as though they’ve stepped into a world from the medieval era—or even earlier. It’s a unique experience, and one that will remain a treasured memory. Though some of the indoor facilities show signs of age, which is unfortunate, this too may be seen as part of the hotel’s charm—provided one isn’t overly concerned with modern polish. That said, certain inconveniences do exist. These appear to arise mostly in the "software" aspects of the experience—that is, service and hospitality. 1. The lack of friendliness at the front desk, coupled with poor English communication, was a consistent source of stress throughout the stay. That being said, the daytime staff who assisted with check-out were very kind and professional. 2. I don’t wish to comment on the variety or quality of the breakfast itself. However, one thing must be mentioned: I sincerely hope the staff refrains from sweeping the floors with a broom during breakfast hours. It is extremely uncomfortable—and frankly unpleasant—to watch someone sweeping right next to your table while you are eating. 3. I also hope the staff who first greet guests arriving by car can show a bit more warmth. For example, it is not appropriate for hotel staff to stand with arms crossed and merely nod in greeting when a guest approaches the entrance to catch a taxi. 4. The music selection at the grilled skewer corner is another point of concern. Loud retro dance music or poorly mixed EDM significantly detracts from the peaceful and refined atmosphere of this beautiful hotel, even disturbing the calm that guests come here to enjoy. This has turned into quite a long message. To conclude: our stay in the One-Bedroom Villa was undoubtedly memorable. The leisurely walks, the rare joy of waking up to birdsong, and the serene mornings filled with fresh air and stillness—all of these moments are etched in my memory. I sincerely hope the hotel will take small but meaningful steps to address these shortcomings, so that the truly special qualities it possesses may endure for years to come.

My mom and I booked a private villa for our trip. To be honest, the room felt quite dated and had a musty smell. The private yard was also unkempt. We were made to wait for the room to be 'inspected' before check-in, only to discover once we finally got in that it clearly hadn't been properly cleaned. We had originally booked for two nights but ended up checking out after just one.

The highlight of my Lijiang trip was definitely staying at the Pullman Lijiang Resort & Spa! The hotel is perfectly located right next to Shuhe Ancient Town, making it super convenient for getting around. Its beautiful Chinese-style courtyard offers stunning views of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain. And soaking in the outdoor hot tub at night while stargazing was absolutely delightful! The breakfast spread was extensive, and the staff at Caiyun Tian restaurant, especially Rita, were incredibly warm and attentive, making the experience truly exceptional. I would definitely stay here again on my next visit to Lijiang!

I was absolutely blown away by the Pullman Resort on this trip to Lijiang! The hotel grounds are breathtaking, lush with flowers and greenery, and there are adorable ducks in the central lake. Breakfast offered an extensive variety, and the service was simply impeccable. Rita was exceptionally warm and thoughtful. I'll definitely be staying here again on my next visit to Lijiang!

This is my second time staying at this hotel. My last visit was six years ago, and I had a very good impression. Overall, I'm extremely satisfied. I was upgraded to a villa for the first two nights after check-in, even though I hadn't booked one. The delivery service was also very timely! The service was excellent. The off-season villa package offered great value. The airport transfer service was incredibly worthwhile, with a Tesla for pickup and drop-off. The afternoon tea was also delightful. The room was incredibly quiet. I stayed for six nights, spending half days exploring, and developed a habit of taking baths and going to bed early. I felt completely rejuvenated, as if all the stress from the daily grind had melted away. It's perfect for those seeking a relaxing and restorative getaway. Light sleepers or those with sensitive nerves will truly find excellent rest in this villa! The hotel is very close to Shuhe Ancient Town, which I actually prefer. I truly love its quiet and less crowded atmosphere. Breakfast offered a wide variety of options, and I saw little ducks and pigeons every day. It's a slight pity I didn't get to see the snow-capped mountains often due to the recent rainy season, but the environment is truly comfortable. I'd definitely want to stay here again on my next visit. While there were a few minor imperfections, they certainly didn't detract from the overall excellent experience. The good truly outweighed the minor flaws, and the service was attentive yet never intrusive.

We even had views of the snow-capped mountains from our balcony. The hotel's garden design is truly exquisite and meticulously crafted, offering picturesque views at every turn. The ducks in the central lake were absolutely adorable. Breakfast was diverse and plentiful, and the rice noodles were particularly delicious. The service, in particular, was exceptional. The hotel boasts a fantastic environment; some rooms offer views of the snow-capped mountains, and the open area directly in front of the Western restaurant also provides a stunning view of them. However, the hotel is quite dated. Coupled with the recent continuous rain in Lijiang, the rooms had a musty smell. We had to change rooms four times on our check-in night, eventually settling for one where the odor was just about tolerable. On a positive note, Rita was incredibly kind and attentive. She consistently checked in on our stay and overall travel experience, even recommending many local restaurants and night markets.

The hotel seamlessly blends traditional Naxi architecture with modern Chinese design, featuring lush gardens, tranquil water features, and even some adorable small animals. The rooms were spotless and incredibly comfortable, with the private soaking tub and underfloor heating being wonderful perks. Rita was incredibly warm and attentive, the breakfast spread was extensive, and its convenient proximity to Shuhe Ancient Town was a definite plus. Without a doubt, I'll be staying here again on my next trip to Lijiang!

My friend and I stayed in a two-bedroom suite. We noticed that the two-bedroom suite essentially has the same layout as a one-bedroom, with the living room area simply converted into a twin room. The rooms at Borman are certainly showing their age, but the service quality consistently remains excellent. Both the cleanliness and breakfast were good. The complimentary happy hour offered by the hotel was also quite enjoyable.

The surroundings are simply breathtaking! It's just a 15-minute drive from the lively Shuhe Ancient Town, and the hotel's garden views are incredible. Perfect for a leisurely stroll or a bike ride. Our experience in the private villa this time was fantastic! Sitting in the courtyard, enjoying the breeze and a barbecue, was absolutely superb. For its price point, it's definitely my top pick. Pullman truly helped us achieve our ideal vacation: delicious food, fun activities, and pure relaxation. We'll definitely be back next time!

While the breakfast was decent and had some local and international selections, it could benefit from a wider variety of options to match the standard of the rest of the experience. We stayed in Lijiang for 7 days and 6 nights, with the last two nights spent at the Pullman Hotel. In conclusion, it was the most satisfying and heartwarming experience we had during our trip, which is why I felt compelled to leave this review. Unlike other hotels, Pullman shared the manager’s Weixin (WeChat) contact, making communication incredibly easy. The manager, Rita, provided us with everything we needed for our Lijiang trip — from sightseeing spots and local restaurants to arranging a tour guide. She also went above and beyond by helping us with food delivery apps and even offering to ship back clothes we had accidentally left behind at the hotel. Her thoughtful and attentive service made our stay at Pullman truly memorable. The ambiance of the Pullman felt like a cozy extension of Black Dragon Lake itself. We stayed in a private villa, and both the cleanliness and facilities were excellent. While the breakfast selection wasn’t vast, it was well-prepared, thoughtfully arranged, and very delicious. The resort also offered traditional costume experiences and complimentary cocktails, both of which turned out to be fantastic. When we mentioned how delicious the peanuts served with the cocktails were, Rita gifted us an entire basket of them. Thanks to Rita, I genuinely want to return to Lijiang again — and I will definitely stay at the Pullman. If you’re reading this review, don’t hesitate to book it. It’s truly an outstanding resort.

Walking distance 10 minutes to shuhe ancient town which is way more relaxing than Lijiang ancient town from my opinion . This resort is ancient Chinese design and land is pretty big making our stay relaxing . Breakfast selection was plenty and good . Overall a lovely stay . We enjoyed
