Nice hotel for the nice price in the historic center

I had a wonderful stay at Jonkered Heritage Hotel. The location is perfect—just a short walk from Jonker Street and all the vibrant attractions of Melaka’s heritage area, yet tucked away enough to enjoy a peaceful night’s rest. The hotel beautifully combines heritage charm with modern comfort. The building retains its historical character, with tasteful design and decor that reflect the rich cultural atmosphere of Melaka. At the same time, the rooms are clean, comfortable, and well-equipped with everything you need for a pleasant stay. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and always ready to assist with recommendations for food. Their warm hospitality really made the stay memorable.

Good location and clean

Concierge was polite and friendly. Room was clean and cozy, water heater worked great and was reliable. We were provided new bottled water when we asked. Just a few things could be improved/noted for future guests: TV and wifi signal not very good, the display outside the window is a little jarring and strange at first. Also there was someone in the next room seemingly banging things against the connecting door, and opening and closing their side trying to open ours, which was frightening. Not sure if it was staff or other guest. Overall still a pleasant stay, close to jonker walk. Do note that money changers might not be easy to find or not open on weekends

The main road facing rooms are not sound proof, traffic on this road is constant and too loud for light sleepers.

The hotel is very good, right next to the Dutch Square, convenient for travel, and the hotel service is very good.

The location is very convenient in the Red House. There is a 7-11 downstairs and a five-minute walk to Jonker Street. Unfortunately, on the day of check-in, I found ants on the wall. The service staff came to deal with it immediately, but the treatment method was incomplete by spraying insecticide in the room, and the water heater was not hot and was close to cold water.

The hotel is located in the isolation area of ​​Red House. It is only 30 meters away from the convenience store downstairs of Red House. It only takes 3 minutes to get to Airport Street. It is very convenient. The room is quite spacious and you can walk after opening your suitcase. But no disposable slippers are provided
