"The stay was average overall. The hot shower didn’t work, and the air conditioner was dripping quite a lot, which was inconvenient. However, the staff were very accommodating and quickly offered to change my room, which I really appreciated. Their helpful attitude made the experience better despite the maintenance issues."
"Beautiful Hotel and Lovely Staff(Rhea, Trixcy, Judy, Theresa, Cathy, Lira)
😄 Everything was of top standard, nothing too much trouble, clean and well maintained. The Resort's location quite far from the beach but you can ride tuk² about 5mins. to the Beach. Overall Enjoyment!"
"A very good place to stay with good parking area.
The property has a gym, a pingpong table, bar, restaurant, swimming pool, mini collection of books that you can borrow and an elevator.
I enjoy my stay here."
"Could have been better, there seems to be breakdown in communication in cleaning rooms where they missed twice. When they came to clean up, the guy commented with sarcasm whilst the other two women apologised. They even left a message to not use the mat in the toilet but there is no floor mat and the street in the hotel entrance is rough road and very muddy due to rain. Not sure how they expect guests to walk around the toilet/room.
The shower is timed which lasts for only few seconds (ok for handwashing only) we ended up pressing every few seconds i have never been in a hotel with a shower such as theirs.
On positive note, Dave the driver and Vern in the restaurant were both very nice. Kudos to them. Otherwise, good value for money. Birds are also entertaining. Pool are nice features but could be clean."
"My stay at this hotel was quite good overall. The location was quiet and convenient, and the room was clean and comfortable. It was also fairly quiet at night, which helped me sleep well. The staff were generally polite and helpful."
"Nice place near commercial restaurant, near Alona beach, the place was sorrounded by a lot of food stalls
Mc Donald and Jollibee is just around the corner. A lot of spa, massage parlor and groceries."
"Hotel is 10 mins away from the city but they have free shuttle which has a standard schedule.
Beach front is a bit small and beach is not that clean tho. But would still recommend this hotel. We went here during the typhoon season in Manila so our flight was changed. Staffs are kind enough to allow us to do early check in and late check out.
They have bfast buffet and what I love is they change the menu daily. We just hope there are more shuttle service time slots going to the main city so that it will lessen the transpo expenses.
Thank you for accommodating us, Solea Coast :)"
"Facilities: There are swimming pools, restaurants, billiards, and the equipment is old and acceptable. Clothes can be dried at the door.
Environment: Very good. The room and bathroom are big enough. If you have enough budget, you can choose the Bathala Resort next door, which has a better environment. The two hotels are connected, interconnected, and have the same style. It feels like they are owned by the same hotel.
Service: I booked a triple room with two beds, a queen bed and a sofa bed, with a fitted sheet, and an extra bed fee of 100 RMB per day was charged. Although it is clearly stated on the confirmation page, I feel that the price/performance ratio has dropped. Every day there is a cat lying at the door asking to be petted."
"Great until the trike driver they called overcharged us. This is not the green mangos fault, this was another local thief. Green mango called and confirmed 150php for me and my wife to go to the airport,I know because I asked her to confirm for 2 people. When we got to the airport he charged us 300php as I had a feeling he would. If green mango knew this to be a problem they should’ve let me know but I’ll take that responsibility this time. Thank you green mango, it was a comfortable stay"
"We had a lovely stay at Modala Beach Resort. The staffs were very accommodating and helpful. The room and the pool was clean. The beach was great, it has fine white sand. I could say the resort is family-friendly. The only down side during our visit was that the beach had very low sea level, we were told that it would have better level during the months of April to June. The beach became a bit swimmable on the afternoon of our second day of stay, so we were able to enjoy the beach. Food served during breakfast was good. Overall, we had a wonderful vacation. Will definitely recommend Modala Beach Resort."

Great
SStefanie Kate Javier• The location is unbeatable—right in front of Alona Beach. Ang sarap gumising na literal ilang steps lang, white sand and clear water na agad.
• Their pools are stunning—may infinity pool na overlooking the beach and may swim-up bars pa. Perfect spot para mag-chill with a drink.
• Rooms are spacious, clean, and comfortable. Malamig ang aircon, malambot ang bed, plus may balcony pa.
• Staff are generally friendly and accommodating. Madaling kausap, lalo na sa restaurant and pool area.
GGuest UserI came here for white sand beach. But in fact beach is so dirty... during 5 days I've been here all days were so many seaweed and plastic in the water. One day I even couldn't swim. Snorkeling is poor as well.
Hotel is clean and nice. But there some things, I didn't like.
1. No shower at the beach.
2. Security doesn't do anything with annoying sellers at the beach. Literally every 3-5 minutes I was distracted by locals selling something. I came here for peace and calm. This is annoying so much
3. I asked at the reception can I take phone and pocket to the beach, they said NOOOO it's not safe. Keep all your things with you. How can I relax in such environment? What exactly security do there then?
4. The price for this hotel equal to Marriott, but quality is not the same. I feel economy through everything. Very thin toilet paper. Diluted soup in washroom. And breakfast ... First time in my life I saw cheese cold cuts size 2×2 centimeters. Literally. I paid a lot for this hotel and don't want feel economy vibe.
5. Evening buffet doesn't work everyday. Yeah, it cost not much... but anyway meat there was with bones or soooo hard to chew. Again this economy vibe🙄 was it hard to take a normal meat? Not the cheapest one
6. Check out at 11 am.... what? I've been at 25 countries and hundreds hotels. This is first time check out so early. I asked for late check out and what they gave me is 1 hour more. So basically just a normal check out time. Insane
7. The quality of drinking water is very bad.
8. Ice for drinks probably made from tap water. It's too bad.
9. I feel pressure from sign near elevators. ”Using the stair promotes good health”. I've got a knee injury, I can't use stairs. Didn't I pay enough to use elevator? Or again you wanna save some electricity? Why to put this sign? Again this economy vibe...
So faithful for this place is 6.5/10
But any sense to come here? Beach is so dirty...
JJan domingoJust 15 mins from the airport. The rooms are very cozy, cleanliness is 10/10. The facilities were maintained. A bit pricey but worth it. The breakfast buffet menu was different from day to day. Staffs were polite and helpful. Tawala is walking distance from the beach also so really worth the stay.
GGuest UserWe stayed in amorita resort for 3 nights with the only goal to relax, and if you want to do the same, I would recommend this place !
The two swimming pools, the restaurants and the so dedicated service helped a lot.
Looking for a nice place to do some snorkeling ? Just find the secret cove and put your mask on.
Need a great breakfast to begin your day ? Saffron restaurant is the place you need.
And if you need help for anything, the staff will be there for you. Don’t wait anymore, just book your room.
FFilipino couplei love everything in azul de panglao

FFlor SimangcasHad a wonderful stay at Hotel Begonia for 6 nights and 5 days. The room was simply elegant, comfortable and clean and had all the amenities we needed for a comfortable stay. The hotel staff were friendly and accommodating making us feel right at home. Buffet breakfast was delicious with a variety of options to choose from Asian and Filipino foods. I love the free tote bag. Thank you so much Hotel Begonia❤️
I would highly recommend Begonia Hotel for my family and friend. Definitely stay here again…❤️❤️❤️
VVenus ❤️I went to Bohol on a Solo trip. I booked this hotel because it’s the only available beachfront hotel at the time i booked. I find the Facility good when checking photos. When i finally came to Bohol, everyone is friendly! The staffs from this Hotel’s restaurant which is located a few meters away from their hotel, approached me already. They have a bar and there’s a live band. They are just beside the public massage area so i took a massage while drinking while listening to the band. And the most special thing for me is the beach. It really surprised me that Bohol has really many good beaches. It was just sad that i wanted to extend my stay with them but it’s fully booked. Plan your trip ahead of time and book right away. Their food and drinks is not expensive. 😉
Ccharlene maePros:
-Beautiful swimming pool w/lifeguard
-clean room
-Gugma Restaurant serves delicious food
-friendly staff except for that one female front desk in the morning as well as the no show manager
Cons:
-Misleading Information and must be updated! The ad shows that the hotel has all the amenities that we looked for are wifi/wired internet in the rooms, swimming pool and few steps from the beach but it's not. We checked in late at night and the location is far from the beach, wifi is available at their Gazebo or lobby area with mosquitos.
-There are 2 different hotel branches, one is few steps from Alona beach proper with wifi in the rooms but no pool and the other one is their 2nd newer branch which is 1 tuktuk ride away from Alona beach proper no wifi in the rooms, wired internet isn't working but with swimming pool.
-I was upfront to the hotelier that I travel for work and measure and need all those amenities that were stated on the website, but the remedy they kept insisting is to move us to their other branch which is older, no pool with wifi in the room as they do not have the wifi nor wired internet in their room at their 2nd hotel and that we can just go their in the morning to use their pool 🤣
-No one from the hotel apologize, not even a Manager's shadow reachout
-Trip.com said sorry and provide compensation but it's not enough for the lost working hours due to the mosquito bites I had while I tried to work at the lobby but was not able to tolerate it as I am afraid of having Dengue, did not get anything from the hotel's management
-tricycle/tuktuk will cost you 100 pesos per way PRICEY
-we tried to walk to the beach as there is another route close to the 2nd hotel but the way is rocky and stairs were steep as it was meant for divers or island Hopper not the white strip that were posted on the website
-corkage fee so better to buy at the restaurant at the hotel or eat outside
**AGAIN THERE ARE 2 DIFFERENT HOTEL BRANCH WITH DIFFERENT ADDRESSES AND AMENITIES, SO BE CAREFUL IN BOOKING ESPECIALLY IF YOU TRAVEL FOR WORK AND NEEDS WIFI IN THE ROOM.
