"The room is spacious and bright, the tatami is very comfortable to sleep, the Japanese garden outside the window, quiet and beautiful, the calligraphy in the room ”pine leaves ancient and modern” highlights the artistic nature of the decoration, it seems that the traditional culture of Chinese calligraphy in Japan is still deeply rooted in the people! Breakfast is also very good, the weight is more sufficient."
"We booked a one night, two meals package, and I can only say that this hotel is very cost-effective. The dinner was very heartfelt and delicious! Good sashimi is very fresh. The room was a good size, could accommodate two large suitcases, clean and tidy. We took a sightseeing boat the next morning. The hotel is a 1-minute drive from the pier and a 6-minute walk. Very good location! Next time I go to Shiretoko, I will definitely visit this hotel again! !"
"Everything is fine except the ordered dinner...it's a trap if we are not calmed enough to see the hot pot...we ordered in the expensive beef but came out was fish!
We were looking forward to that special dinner which was booked in advance early in that morning. As we asked why it was not beef?
Their explanations were because sort of beef therefore replaced by fish...The point is that why didn't tell us as we sat in? We paid the most expensive price for the menu but got the common fish, if we didn't voice out...the story was ended.
After the complaints, they refunded @¥2000 for that costed ¥9000 expensive meal. It is a poor meal, unfresh ingredients with fare cooking method, not valuable at the description on such expensive price!"

"Fantastic Onsen hotel..located on the hill top, all rooms assigned overlooking into the OKHOTSK SEA, with huge room and shower room are separated from the WC.
The hotel provide a shuttle bus from UTORO ONSEN BUS TERMINAL and will pick up guests from here.
Another good point is,there is a Airport Bus Liner which comes direct to the hotel to pick guestyfor drop off at Shiretoko Shari Bus terminal enroute to Mambabetsu Airport.
The breakfast is really yummy with lots of spread however the buffet dinner is average and the same spread for the two nites I stayed.
Where else the ONSEN, I would give a 4/5.
Another good point to note is those coming by train to Shiretoko Shari station, opposite is the Shari Bus terminal which provides transer to the UTORO ONSEN BUS TERMINAL.in about 50 mins.
Overall Shireto Daiichi Hotel is a big luxurious hotel and they provide shuttle for onwards bus transfer to the SHIRETOKO NATURE PARK which is so beautiful to wander out to seek nature's awesomeness."
"The hotel is located halfway up the mountain. It is a very quiet and large hotel. You can watch the sunset over the sea at night. It is more than 1 km away from the bus station, which takes about 20 minutes to walk. Eating is not very convenient. You can choose to buy hotel food or go down the mountain. The hotel has a specialty store. The hotel room is very large, with thick carpets that are very comfortable to step on. There is also a large hot spring pool, which is open for a long time, from 3 pm to 9 am the next day. If there are too many people and you are embarrassed to go, you can wait until midnight to go, haha. The hotel's yukata is also very nice, a sky blue one with a short coat on the outside. Then there is a bus pick-up point to Memanbetsu Airport at the entrance of the hotel, which is very convenient."
"Eat very well. The restaurant has a very nice view. Nothing else, so expensive or public baths, public hot springs, public toilets. Oh Japan. It’s a bit far from the bus station, you can ask the staff at the bus station to call the hotel to pick you up. When I left, I also helped to send it to the bus station. I was worried that we would bypass the supermarket if we didn't buy food. I was a little grateful."
"Hotels in Shiretoko are quite expensive, especially in the peak season in winter, so I chose this one on the mountain. It takes 20 minutes to walk to the 711 supermarket at the foot of the mountain, and it also takes 20 minutes to walk to the nearest restaurant. There is nothing nearby. Fortunately, the hotel has free shuttle to the BUS station (you need to call), and I drove a domestic 1 million alpha to pick me up, and the ride experience was not bad. The next day I went to Shiretoko for hiking, and they could also pick me up directly at the hotel, which was pretty good.
I booked a Japanese tatami room, which happened to be on the second floor of the new building, facing the yard. The room was very comfortable and spacious. There are public washing machines, tea machines, and ice machines--I love them. The hot spring is also good, not crowded, and larger than the hotel in Abashiri.
The breakfast is a set meal, which is okay, and you need to book a time in advance. I don’t know if it’s because of the peak season of the Spring Festival, but the two front desks are Chinese and easy to communicate."
"The room is very good. It is really nice to have a five-star hotel in such an inconvenient place. I booked a one-night stay and two-night stay, but it is not very convenient on the mountain. It can only be picked up by phone at the Utoro Bus Center. Because I stayed in the Chief the night before, I had to rush to the Shiretoko Center early in the morning. I didn't want to carry my luggage. I booked a hike in the afternoon. The driver would take me to Kiki. But the luggage couldn't walk, so I wanted to go to Kiki to store my luggage first. Time was a bit tight, so the lady boss of the Chief took me up. In addition to transportation, this hotel is good, with large rooms, free hot springs, and very few people. There are free popsicles and drinks at the door, and there is a forest-themed rest area in the lobby with free coffee, chocolate cookies and cheese. As for the meals, there are many dishes, but the variety is not rich. The taste is also average, but the milk and fruit are good~"
"Several hotels in Utoro are quite expensive, but this one is relatively cost-effective. At the bus stop, you can ask the front desk of the nearby Kita Magnolia Hotel to take you to the hotel entrance. Since we are the same owner, we can pick each other up. The hotel is on a hill, and it takes 15 minutes to walk up, which is a bit tiring. The next day, I went to Shari. There is an airport bus line at the entrance of Kiki Hotel, which is a 5-minute walk away."
"Although I booked this hotel two months in advance, our three rooms for two nights ultimately required five separate reservations. Ctrip was incredibly helpful in sorting all this out. I'd even suggest that booking three months ahead during peak season isn't an exaggeration – it's absolutely worth it.
The view from this room category is like a living painting. The red lighthouse and drift ice are a perfect, beautiful combination, and they even offered an explanation of the drift ice's origin.
The fireplace uses real flames, making it wonderfully warm and cozy.
The lobby lounge offers complimentary soft drinks and snacks all day, with alcoholic beverages available until 10 PM.
The restaurant is truly exceptional. It was my first time experiencing a buffet that managed to feel like a high-end steakhouse – absolutely amazing!
The large public bath on the 8th floor boasts enormous, floor-to-ceiling windows with incredible views, exactly like those seen in videos."
