"Room spacious and well-designed, but sad wear and tear. After long flight was looking forward to hot soak, but bath lever didn’t work and tub didn’t drain readily. Hand soap empty or dispenser didn’t work. Toilet door wouldn’t shut properly and ventilation didn’t work either - not a great combination. Reported all to reception but didn’t get the impression anyone cared. Guess they have a captive Heathrow audience."

"The location is very good, the train station is only a 3-minute walk away. The hotel has an elegant appearance. The room is more stylish and larger than expected. It is fully equipped with bottled water, specialty coffee, chocolate, biscuits and a variety of tea bags. Just checked in and there were no extra boxes of tissues available. The elevator was broken, but the staff quickly helped to move the luggage. The service attitude was very good👍🏻I highly recommend this hotel and will definitely stay here again next time. 👏🏻👏🏻"

"The staff is friendly and polite. Although it’s a bit of a drive from Newbury and closer to Thatcham, the location isn’t too bad. There are even public transport links, with a bus stop outside on the line that connects Newbury to Reading. I haven’t tried the food yet, as it seemed a bit expensive to me. However, there’s a pub nearby that serves excellent food. Unfortunately, there’s no air conditioning, but fans are provided."

Staff were very friendly and the hotel itself looks very nice, so what a shame that the whole thing is let down by cleanliness. The windows in my room were actually dripping in mould, damp and grime, which is surely a health hazard? I have stayed at many hotels but never stayed at one that displays such filthy conditions in the room, absolutely disgusting!"

"Novotel Reading Centre is located in the heart of Reading, with convenient access to food, accommodation, and transportation. It is a 3-minute walk to the train station and a 3-minute walk to museums, parks, monasteries, and supermarkets. The front desk service is very friendly, and the swimming pool and gym are open normally from 10:00-22:00 every day. We are responsible for cleaning our floors very seriously and clean the rooms on time every day! Everyone gathers together at the bar downstairs every night to watch the World Cup, it's very happy! Five star rating! Like it, thank you!"

"I had a very nice 2 night stay. The room is a bit dated, but it was clean and comfortable. Everything worked well, from the shower temperature and pressure, to good wifi. The staff was friendly, available and efficient. Unfortunately I did not have time for breakfast which was included, so cannot talk of that, but it was just a 13 min walk to a shoppmall with a big supermarket. There was a big car park, if you drive, but I came by bus from Reading Railway Station and found it a short walk from the stop on arrival and for returning to Reading the bus stop was just in front of the hotel."

"The hotel is approx 7 mins from the nearest reading station. It is near to Oxford and Bicester village and if you planning for a visit to either those place, worth to stay. There are plenty of shops and eateries around and there’s a Tesco express which make our stay convenient. There’s only 1 point, the hotel is without lift, if you have big luggage, and you will need to bring that up to the room yourself."
