Ibis Reading Centre
"My stay at the Ibis Hotel in Reading was okay. The amenities were standard and met the basic needs. The biggest issue was the shower. The water temperature kept switching between very hot and cold every few minutes, which made it uncomfortable to use. On a positive note, the front desk staff were excellent. Friendly, responsive, and very helpful, definitely the highlight of the stay. Overall, an average experience with great staff but some room for improvement in facilities."
Hilton Reading
"nice property enjoyed a lot was great service and the amenities are too good customer service was amazing on a single call"
Hotel 1843 Reading
"Was disgusted to see when I was checking out at 11am that the housekeeping have laid out the clean towels and bedding in front of each door without any protective covers or anything else covering them from the germs and dust from the floor. I know they are young (housekeeping) by the looks of them, and they want to finish their shift and get out quickly but this is very unhygenic. Unfortunately, there is no management or reception at that time to keep an eye on them. Bedding is one thing, but people will end up using the towels on their face and body. They need to be told not to do this."
Novotel Reading Centre
"Room spacious and well-designed, but sad wear and tear. After long flight was looking forward to hot soak, but bath lever didn’t work and tub didn’t drain readily. Hand soap empty or dispenser didn’t work. Toilet door wouldn’t shut properly and ventilation didn’t work either - not a great combination. Reported all to reception but didn’t get the impression anyone cared. Guess they have a captive Heathrow audience."
Travelodge Reading Central
"Room was very clean, however very hot on warm weather, they supply fans but you can’t open windows and no air con so makes it very stuffy. Receptionists are all friendly and polite. Area is somewhat rough but good shops."
Village Hotel Reading
"Great hotel and good staff on reception. The bar staff are OK but do lrioratise people who they want, not in an orderly fasion. Overall the hotel is a great place to stay with a good choise of facilities."
The Roseate Reading
"Very comfy room, great facilities and fantastic service! Will be returning :)"
Sure Hotel by Best Western Reading
"Really nice for overall ambience. If the hotel can provide dish washer , I will feel a little bit elated more"
Easyhotel Reading
"The room was small and compact, perfect for a one- or two-night stay. It’s close to the shops, a 20-minute walk to the town centre, and just a 5-minute walk from the train station."

Travelodge Reading M4 Westbound
"Great reception, very helpful, room is very clean & tidy, all fresh towels sheets, just a quiet night, no dramas, going to feel fully refreshed for my 2nd part of my journey, and this is a major requirement with any hotel stay, bath although on the small side helped me relax after the days driving."
Berkshire Arms by Chef & Brewer Collection
"Good, the fish and chips are pretty good 😋"

"The Holiday with my spouse was fantastic and relaxing. The hotel has everything including Spa, Gym and Swimming in a very good location and it's very neat. The only problem I had was that the room I was allocated didn't have window which is the only fault and disappointment other than that the hotel is best and biggest i have ever been. Lest I forget, the room was extremely massive with lounge and two big TV's and I love it. Definitely going back and would recommend 👌."
Travelodge Reading Whitley
"Came it and just after midnight. Nasir was very welcoming and helped get a room set up in an efficient manner and was friendly throughout. The stay was good overall."
Travelodge Reading M4 Eastbound
"I checked in late on the evening of 10th June at around 11:00pm, and I wanted to leave a review for the gentleman working on reception. Unfortunately, I didn’t catch his name, but he was genuinely one of the best Travelodge reception staff members I have ever encountered. From the moment I arrived, he was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and helpful. He even held the door open for me while I transferred my belongings from the car to my room, which was such a thoughtful gesture after a long day. His kindness, professionalism, and willingness to help really stood out. He made me feel valued as a guest and went above and beyond to make my check in experience smooth and pleasant. The room itself was spacious and comfortable, and the location was very good. One thing I particularly appreciated was how quiet it was. With the window closed, I could not hear any traffic while trying to sleep. Even with the window open, the traffic noise was very faint in the background and sounded more like a gentle flowing river than passing vehicles, which made for a surprisingly peaceful stay. My only qualm was with the heating in the room. The electric radiator did not seem to heat up properly and remained cold throughout the night. I also woke up the next morning with some phlegm on my chest, which was not ideal. As a small word of advice to future guests, it may be worth bringing some extra layers or a dressing gown, especially if you’re someone who feels the cold. I wish I had brought mine, but I did not think I would need it. However, aside from that, everything else was excellent. The outstanding service I received on reception more than made up for this issue. Travelodge is very lucky to have someone with such a genuine, gentlemanly heart representing the company. Please pass on my thanks and recognition to him. He made a lasting positive impression and deserves to be commended for the excellent service he provides."
The Market House
"Nice and cosy room, very clean, huge bathroom. Right in the town centre, makes it easy to access everything. Coffee machine, kettle and I had breakfast provided in the room, so nice ☺️"
Parkside International Hotel
"My first room has extremely stinky smell so I asked the staff to change. No AC in room. Just okay."
Chambers Place
Chester House
"Generally, poor sound insulation, remote location"
De Vere Wokefield Estate
"After requesting a quiet room due to having our 11 month old with us we were placed directly above the function suite for a wedding and while testing the sound system the floor below are feet curated and the noise was crazy. The moved us rooms out of the original Manor House we requested and into the furthest room possible from all amenities on offer smaller than our original room, 3rd floor and no lift with a baby in a pram and lots of luggage. The room was also unbearably hot and a crazy sensor/light in the bathroom kept our son (and them us) all night. Not sure if recommended staying here. ."
Malmaison Reading
"Lovely grade ll hotel building and near station and town centre."
Malthouse Court
"Cockroaches were found in living room, kitchen, bathroom and corridor. Some of cockroaches even hid in our clothes. The management company advised that no similar complaints were reported before , or even after. A picture is worth a thousand words."
