Friendly staff, great location! Clean and hygienic room!!

Reel cute hostel. Close to collessoum. Old building have Retro vibe. And the stuff was really helpfull and kind.

The hotel is wonderful. You can see friends from everywhere. You can go to a club together.

I like the place, not far from metro station. Staff is very friendly and amazing. Owner Paolo is very interesting person. I arrived early, staff was so humble to give me early check-inn as the got availability. Definitely would stay if I am in Rome.

I like to stay next time. Little bit expensive. Location is very good  near to train station and city center.

The room was decent. It had both a door lock and a locker, so safety wasn't a concern. A big plus is that one of Rome's best gelato places is located nearby and stays open until midnight! The main drawback, however, was the inconvenient public transportation. We often had to wait a long time for buses on Google Maps' recommended routes, and even buses going to the main attractions were hard to catch. As a result, we ended up walking 30,000 steps that day!

I really enjoy my stay here! The room is proper and clean and the staff was very friendly. I was a bit sad when it’s time to leave because I made really good memories here. The lovely lady at the receptionist also gave me food recommendations to try. Hopefully I can come back in the future!

One of the best hostels I have slept in, reasonable prices but quality services and amenities.

The hostel doesn’t have an elevator, so I had to carry my luggage to the 4th floor. The hostel is close to the bus and metro stations, and it’s good for a short stay.

This was such an amazing find! From the friendliness of the staff, to cleanliness of the rooms and the brilliant location - most things were in walking distance and it's close to a metro line. I was here from 29th Dec '24 - 3rd Jan '25. I was initially really sceptical about staying in a hostel... However, to my complete surprise, it was the best decision ever. The staff really made us all feel at home! The bathrooms are cleaned daily. If you want to use a towel, they are available for rent. The beds and drawers are both lockable, and the room I stayed in was a 3 bed female room, which was also locked. On New Years Eve, we were all invited to join in for a special meal. For a low cost, we were served a 3 course home cooked meal! It was absolutely delicious! The diverse group around the table were amazing. We all shared our travel stories and then went off to watch the fireworks at midnight at the colosseum (which is only a 20min walk away). Everyone was super friendly, and I would absolutely recommend Free Hostels Roma to anyone travelling through or alone. What a great way to meet like-minded people!
