"🛏️🌿📍 A modest and comfortable hotel that is very central to Santana’s main activities, offering more spacious rooms than many other hotels we visited on the island.
While we appreciated the extra space and convenient location, overall it did not feel like great value for the price compared to other places we stayed. A decent option if you prioritize room size and being close to local attractions."

"Fantastic space, a pleasant weekend that provided a spectacular weekend.
Since arrival at the very careful reception, the availability to help, like in the dining room where we were very well received, is ready with very fantastic service accompanied by excellent food.
The rooms were very clean with a babe arrival can provide a fantastic night, in the morning we found a wonderful buffet accompanied by a very performing staffer ready to help, We finally enjoy a very clean space near the pool and offering fantastic moments.
It will certainly be a place to return and recommend."

"Excellent stay, charming hotel steeped in history, comfortable and quiet in a lush setting, location with a view next to the botanical garden and the church of Monte. Pleasant welcome, spacious rooms with balconies, complete and quite good breakfast but which could still be improved, shame about the ineffective wifi. Very steep road to get there."

"A stunning location and a very comfortable, clean hotel with amazing views from the bedroom and restaurant. Walking opportunities are limited due to the steepness of the terrain but there’s a great path down to Curral do Freitas (45-60 minutes). Service was very good but the vegetarian food was not up to the standards that we expected. Good selection at breakfast but the hot breakfast is not kept warm. Nice jacuzzi and nice, small indoor pool.Certainly worth a visit but could be even better with better food as it’s a long way to the nearest restaurant. €3.35 bus from Funchal (No. 81) but check timetables carefully"
