Solare Hotels in Sapporo

This hotel was newly remodeled in 25 years. Thanks to this, it boasts excellent cleanliness, a neat and stylish exterior. The large public bath on the first floor also offers a pleasant and relaxing experience, with soft lighting, spacious facilities, and a sauna. The miso ramen served as a late-night snack after the sauna is also a decent meal, satisfying regardless of your taste. It's a 15-minute walk to downtown Sapporo and a 5-minute walk to Hosui-Susukino Station, but this can make it feel a bit inconvenient. The breakfast menu also remains constant, which can make staying multiple nights feel a bit boring. However, the cleanliness and comfort of the facilities make it well worth the money.

Used the women’s sauna on my second nights stay and wish I’d used it the previous night. Sauna holds 10 people comfortably and was very clean. I was the only person using the women’s sauna from 19:30 to 20:00. After I was changed the cleaner arrived to tidy up the area. Private showers available in the sauna facility along with drinking water and lockers. Afterwards you can choose to step outside to cooldown in the -10 air, it was a great experience. We’d stayed here previously our room this time was situated on the 5th floor corner building. The room was cold when we entered. The rooms would also benefit from smart tv installation such as YouTube and Netflix access. Also the lighting in the rooms needs updated as it’s quite dark in areas. Small improvements for an otherwise great stay.

The hotel is conveniently situated in the city center, within walking distance of Odori Park and nestled within the Tanukikoji Shopping Arcade, making exploration of the area a breeze. It features a smoking room, and the lobby boasts a unique combination of a coffee shop and library, creating a pleasant ambiance. Although the rooms are typically small, as is common in Japan, they are exceptionally clean, fully equipped with all necessary amenities, and thoughtfully designed. The staff are very friendly, and housekeeping services are provided daily at no extra charge. Don’t miss out on trying ”That Coffee” during your stay—it's the best coffee I’ve ever had literarry across the hotel door lobby and Akahoshi Ramen for 500 yen.
