"The room is so comfortable, fully equipped with amenities. The cleaning is perfect, even though we didn’t ask them to clean every days (we stay for 4 nights). The public bath is superb for a hotel in city. If you like shopping, it might a little off the street, you have to walk a bit to the station but that’s not trouble us."

"A great experience overall. The room had three beds, and while not huge, it was very clean and comfortable. The hotel is conveniently located in Odori 8-chome, perfect for a stroll right outside the door, and public transportation is easily accessible. Breakfast was a Western set meal; the freshly baked bread with butter was delicious, and it came with a plate of salad, making for a balanced and nutritious start to the day. The service was attentive."

HOTEL MYSTAYS Sapporo Nakajima Park ★★★★

📍 1 Chome-1-20 Minami 14 Jonishi, Chuo Ward, Sapporo

"The front desk staff were quite perfunctory, but the main issue was how incredibly spooky the hotel felt. I couldn't sleep in that room; I was genuinely scared. The room itself was also pretty dirty, dimly lit, and there wasn't even any water."

"The hotel is conveniently located near Sapporo Station, making access easy. All staff were friendly, welcoming, and able to communicate in English, which made my stay even more comfortable. I was delighted to receive a complimentary upgrade to the premium floor, adding a joyful touch to my last night in Sapporo. The buffet breakfast offered a wide variety of selections, with most ingredients sourced from Japan and Hokkaido. I especially appreciated the unique option of sparkling wine in the morning. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and I would definitely choose to stay here again on my next visit."

"Facilities are pretty new and in pristine conditions. The staff is professional and quite helpful. We also used the hotel parking with our rental car. "The Hotel location is about 7 mins walk to Odori Station Exit 1. The 'Streetcar' station was about 3 mins walk from the hotel. Super convenient. Walking distance to underground shopping mall. The hotel room was spacious about 28 sqm in view that most hotel in Japan is quite small. The breakfast spread was superb. Best in Sapporo. The hotel was very generous to provide FREE Hokkaido snacks with hot and cold drinks at Lounge Area from 3 pm to 9pm. Overrall our stay was excellent."

"I stayed at this hotel for a week and unfortunately found it quite disappointing compared to many other hotels I have experienced in Japan. The biggest advantage of this hotel is its location. It is conveniently situated and makes it easy to explore the city. However, beyond the location, there is very little that stands out positively. The front desk service was the most disappointing aspect of my stay. The staff were generally unsmiling, unhelpful, and lacked the hospitality that Japan is famous for. Having stayed at numerous hotels across Japan, this was the first time I encountered such a cold and indifferent attitude. Even a simple request for a bottle of water during check-out was immediately rejected without any attempt to assist. The onsen was also underwhelming. The men’s and women’s baths rotate daily, which felt rather unusual. More importantly, it is essentially just a large hot bath rather than a true onsen experience. Compared to the excellent bathing facilities available at many other Japanese hotels, this was nothing special. Breakfast was excellent on the first day, with a good variety and quality. However, for guests staying several days, the menu becomes repetitive and boring as there is very little variation throughout the week. Another strange policy concerns room cleaning and bottled water. Rooms are only cleaned on alternate days, which is understandable from an environmental perspective. However, bottled water is only replenished on cleaning days. On non-cleaning days, guests must go down to the reception desk to collect water themselves. This seems unnecessarily inconvenient and not something I have experienced at other hotels in Japan. Considering the price charged, I believe there are many better hotel options available in the area. I would not rely solely on the glowing online recommendations, as my actual experience was far below expectations. While the location is excellent, the lack of service, average facilities, and inconvenient policies make it difficult for me to recommend this hotel."

"The private hot spring in the room was warm water, but the wooden tub wasn't clean enough. The room facilities were very old, and the staff barely spoke English. They also clearly treated foreigners differently, which was very noticeable. There was basically no service; as I was traveling with family and had several pieces of luggage, they didn't even offer simple help with loading bags into the car. Not recommended."

Sapporo Tokyu Rei Hotel ★★★★
"Pros: The hotel boasts a great location, well-designed rooms, and good breakfast. Cons: The facilities are incomplete, the room phone was out of order, the duvet was very thin, and the service was particularly poor. The hotel is about a 40-minute walk from the JR station, or two subway stops away. It's situated in a bustling commercial area, making its location quite good. The room size was decent, and the layout was comfortable. Thanks to the front desk for providing a room with a nice view. However, the duvet in the hotel was very thin. Sapporo in late June is still quite cool, ranging from 13-22℃, and it gets quite chilly at night. We requested three extra blankets upon check-in, but I still woke up freezing in the early hours. The room phone wasn't working. When I went down to the front desk, they were reluctant to provide any more blankets, feeling that three blankets for two people was already sufficient. After some persuasion, they grudgingly sent up two more. This service philosophy is very strange. Moreover, the most unacceptable aspect was the breakfast service. We arrived quite late for check-in, already past midnight, so we woke up late. We got to the restaurant at 9:40 AM, and by 10:00 AM, they started repeatedly urging us to finish. At 10:15 AM, they forcibly stopped our meal. While breakfast officially ends at 10:00 AM, we had already taken our food and were eating slowly, not requiring any further service from the hotel. I've been to Japan four or five times before and stayed in over a dozen Japanese hotels. Never once have I experienced being forcibly cleared out at the end of the meal service! They even disallowed us from taking away half-eaten bread. Where is the basic hotel service concept in the female manager of that restaurant? It's utterly outrageous! Given Sapporo's vibrant nightlife, it's common to go to bed late and wake up later, but apparently, that's not allowed at this hotel for breakfast."

Hotel Emion Sapporo ★★★★
"Great location and excellent service! The location is highly convenient, especially since Exit 15 connects Sapporo Station directly to the hotel. The staff was incredibly accommodating; they allowed us to store our luggage at the concierge overnight between our stays. When we checked in for the second time, we were thrilled to find they had already delivered our bags straight to our room. While the first room was typical for a Japanese hotel, our second room was noticeably more spacious. We could easily open our luggage in the corner and still have plenty of room to walk around."

KOKO HOTEL Sapporo Susukino ★★★
"Very clean, and although the room was small, the ventilation system worked wonderfully, making it very comfortable. The service was enthusiastic, and the location is absolutely fantastic. There are so many great food options right outside, like delicious seafood donburi and incredibly tasty grilled lamb that wasn't ***** at all. Plus, there's a convenience store downstairs, which is super handy. Really great!"

"This hotel nailed the convenience factor, offering an excellent location just steps from the subway stations. In classic Japanese city-hotel style, the rooms are definitely on the smaller side, but the efficient layout and high-quality facilities more than make up for the tight space. Everything felt well-maintained and premium. It is a fantastic, highly functional choice for an urban stay."

Solaria Nishitetsu Hotel Sapporo ★★★★
"My first trip to Sapporo was made truly amazing by staying at this hotel. The location is flawless—easily accessible from Exit 8 or 10 of the Sapporo Underground Walkway, which connects directly to the Namboku Line Sapporo Station. This makes commuting effortless even during rainy or snowy weather. The hotel’s exterior and lobby are elegantly designed, but the most captivating feature is its view—it directly faces the "Former Hokkaido Government Office," and the scenery is as picturesque as a painting. The room was incredibly spacious; even with three large suitcases fully opened, there was still plenty of room to move around comfortably. As for the facilities and dining: the breakfast on the 2nd floor offers a lavish spread of seafood delicacies full of Hokkaido’s local flavors. The public bath is also spacious, featuring both hot and cold pools as well as a sauna, which was perfect for relieving travel fatigue. Toiletries are provided in the lobby on the 1st floor for guests to pick up as needed. Overall, this hotel offers a perfect balance between strategic location and high-quality accommodation. I highly recommend it for both business and leisure travelers!"

"Compared to other hotels I've stayed at in Japan, this one wasn't very clean. There was a lot of dust in many areas, and some parts of the common areas weren't very clean either. The toilet was extremely cramped. While the hotel is right across from Nakajima Park, there aren't many shops or restaurants nearby, so you have to walk quite a distance to find food or a convenience store."
