Had a truly fantastic stay! The room was incredibly comfortable. Sylvia was wonderfully attentive; she even thoughtfully upgraded our room. The late-night snack service on the second floor was a very considerate touch. The location is super convenient, with tons of dining, entertainment, and leisure options within a 1km radius. Highly recommend this hotel! 👍

This hotel really gets what travelers need! The rooms were so clean, there wasn't a speck of dust on the tables, and the bedding was so soft I didn't want to get up. It's only a 10-minute walk to the metro station, and getting to attractions like Wukang Mansion, Soong Ching-ling's Former Residence, and Xujiahui was super direct, with no detours at all. LiLy's service was particularly good, and they even offer complimentary late-night snacks and desserts. Plus, there's free parking at the hotel. It was such a hassle-free stay!

Good points: - Friendly and helpful staff. - Stylish interior throughout the building. - Free laundry facilities available. - Pleasant green surroundings with lots of trees. - Comfortable chair and desk in the room (good for work). Minor points: - Breakfast: Authentically Chinese – travelers wanting Western/international options may find it limited. - Staff speak very limited English (be prepared for language barriers). - Unstable Wi-Fi in rooms and common areas. - Fitness room is basic: no weights. - Few restaurants within walking distance.

The amenities are quite extensive and modern, the location and view are also excellent, and they even assigned a 'private assistant' reachable on WeChat. However, there seem to be some serious management issues. The front desk was so understaffed that they couldn't cope with check-ins. Our room had a strong musty smell that even the air conditioning couldn't fix; every time we returned, the smell was noticeable, forcing us to open the windows for ventilation. The pillowcases had stains. We contacted them to get another pillow, but nothing happened for half an hour. We called again, only to be told by staff that they had run out of regular pillows and only had small throw pillows available. The assistant delivered breakfast, but despite being two guests, only one portion was sent. It was then we realized that while my companion's passport had been copied, it hadn't been properly registered to our room. After sorting out the issue, two portions of breakfast were finally sent. However, this still wasn't updated in their system, leading to confusion at the restaurant which couldn't confirm our entitlement.

This hotel has a nice location and friendly staff _lily. English is available, so foreign guests are comfortable. It is good to walk around on foot. There is a small but stylish cafe in front of the hotel. The interior is antique Chinese style.

They serve free hot drinks at the lobby. Nice local food around with walking distance.

Top place, great location next to park and food/ shops on doorstep. Don't let the glitzy frontage put you off the rooms are well designed, good size and comfortable trad- style. Perfect to support show- stopping views.

I had serious concerns about security during my stay at this hotel. There was no safe box in the Business Sky room that I had booked, and housekeeping repeatedly left the emergency exit door by the elevators open throughout the day allowing unrestricted access to the guest floors via the back stairwell. Most seriously, on my last day my room door was left ajar and unlocked for the entire day while I was away. Moreover, the room was smaller than advertised and the reception I received upon arrival was unwelcoming. I arrived a few hours early from London and was treated rudely by the front desk because my room was not yet ready. It seemed I was then allocated an inferior room as a result which I feel was an unprofessional and regrettable experience. The eventually offered a 10% discount because of the open door incident but only after I involved a local rep who discussed the matter with the hotel and Ctrip customer service who were great!

The room was clean, except for some details like under the bed, where it was full of dust. The closet is small for two people to share and the space available for storing clothes/luggage is in general tiny. Location of the hotel is nice, as it lies in a quite walkable area, and by foot you can reach the Huaihai Road (good for shopping) in 35m. Metro line 9 is a 15m walk. The service was okay. The staff at the reception did not speak English and they offered no help or guidance about the city: quite essential service. Their attitude was in general detached and seemed quite un-open to communicating. Also, after leaving the room and realizing there were still some clothes left inside, I tried to report it to the reception and they just sent me to the room to check without even communicating to the cleaning service. It ended up that my clothes were not in the room anymore and the staff offered no further help, so I left without these clothes. Also, i had explicitly booked a room with “City View” and I was placed in room 1402 with one very dirty window - out of 2 windows available to enjoy the view. After asking to clean it, they made an unsuccessful attempt and then just left me with the dirty window without any kind of compensation. I was only offered to switch to another room in a lower floor and with no city view, which made no sense considering I had paid more specifically to have a room with “City View”. Breakfast is decent and offers a good variety of food. The staff is understanding if a host is taking few minutes past closing time to finish the food. The staff at the breakfast floor is also very nice and friendly. The main perk of the hotel for me was the cafè at the hall, where a very friendly girl employee works. She was very nice and gave me and my girlfriend some unique advice on places to visit in the city. She was of course also making extremely good flat white and coffee. Balancing everything out though, if was to come back to Shanghai, I would probably choose a different hotel.

Nice views of Xujiahui park, great location at the end of the French concession. Building and furniture feels a bit old, but great for the price. Great service as well

The hotel is at a nice desired location, easy to access to metro station, Lots of nice decent food service available nearby. The facilities are old, staff working there are not very patient to answer customer questions. Suggest to book other places if possible.

Trendy hotel, felt luxurious, very beautiful. We loved the location, with many cafes, restaurants and shops around. Very spacious room with all amenities, and an amazing view from the 30th floor. We also went to the spa which was also beautiful, and reasonably priced. If/when we go to Shanghai again, we’d love to stay at Lestie hotel again.
