Overall the hotel is good as it is a five stat hotel. And i would like to give credit to the housekeeping lady at level 5. She really warm and nice. The room is super clean and tidy after i back from outside. However, the location of the hotel is bad. Is difficult for me go to the city. If you come to Shanghai travel, this hotel is NOT a good choice.

This was my first time staying here, and it was incredibly convenient that it coincided with the textile exhibition! The hotel is super close to the exhibition center and even offers a shuttle service, which made things so hassle-free. The hotel's decor is absolutely stunning, with a truly authentic French style. Audrey at check-in was exceptionally thoughtful and arranged everything perfectly. I'm seriously impressed with this hotel and will definitely be back!

This European-style hotel, despite its age, completely exceeded my expectations. Having just stayed at the voco hotel next door last week, the contrast was striking. The room service staff were very attentive, and the hotel even thoughtfully arranged a birthday surprise for us. The fact that the cake was a mousse cake really showed their dedication and attention to detail. The afternoon tea and happy hour at the executive lounge were also meticulously prepared, and it was wonderfully quiet and uncrowded. The only minor letdown was the swimming pool. It appears to be outsourced, with a portion cordoned off for lessons. There seemed to be some management issues too, as too many people were being rowdy and disruptive, making it difficult for those who just wanted to swim laps. Overall, the hotel certainly lived up to its character and price point. My partner and I had just checked out, and we both immediately agreed we'd choose Sofitel Xinhualian again for our next visit.

The hotel is not far from Hongqiao Railway Station and Airport, but note that it still takes about 20 minutes to get there by car. Personally, I was not satisfied with my stay. The hotel is quite old and in serious need of renovation. The breakfast was disappointing; the selection was limited and typical for China, with few options for those who prefer a Western breakfast. I'm not sure if it was due to the humidity, but the slippers were damp. The bathroom was also missing basic amenities like disposable shower caps and toiletry kits.

Really good hotel. Great facilities with pool and gym. Recommended for a night close to the airport and train station.

The hotel is looking old model from the outside but still great inside. The foods are great and the kids loves the swimming pool. We will recommend to our friends and will definitely come back.

Facilities are old, TV was not working, phone was keeping on ringing and has to plug out the cable. Not worth for money

## Amazing Stay at Sofitel Shanghai My stay at Sofitel Shanghai was fantastic, and Ellie, my ‘butler’, made it even better. She was always quick to help, whether it was fixing a small room issue or giving recommendations for dinner. Her kindness and efficiency stood out. The hotel itself is beautiful, with spacious rooms, a great gym, and a relaxing pool. The breakfast was a highlight—so many options, from fresh pastries to local dishes. Every staff member was friendly and welcoming, always ready with a smile. I’d definitely stay here again—thanks to Ellie and the team for such a great experience!

We recently stayed at the Sofitel Shanghai Hongqiao for the Chinese New Year holiday, and overall, it was a delightful experience. Booking through Trip.com was seamless, and their chatbot was very helpful for any questions we had. The hotel room was impressively spacious, clean, and filled with natural light from the large window, which made our stay even more enjoyable. We did try the pool, but unfortunately, the kids' pool was closed, which was a bit inconvenient since we were traveling with children. The dining options offered a nice variety of Chinese and Western cuisine, although I noticed that the majority leaned towards Chinese dishes. One of the highlights of our stay was the smooth check-in process. We arrived at the hotel around 11 AM and were pleased that they were able to accommodate our request for early check-in. A special mention goes to Max, who was exceptionally accommodating and made us feel welcome. Overall, we had a wonderful stay, but we do hope that the kids' pool will be open during our next visit. Thank you for a lovely experience!
