Atour Hotel Shanghai Jing'an Natural History Museum Reviews

My stay this time was at Atour Light Jing'an. As soon as I walked in, I was struck by its fresh and artistic ambiance, a pleasant departure from the more business-like feel of older Atour hotels; it was truly comfortable. I chose the river-view king room, which came with their 'deep pro' pillow. I'd seen ads for this pillow before, and I must say, it was excellent during my stay – it contoured comfortably to my neck, had great rebound, and I immediately added it to my shopping cart. The room's air conditioning was thoughtfully equipped with a deflector to prevent direct drafts, making it comfortable and quiet. Both the interior and exterior of the hotel were aesthetically pleasing, and the air smelled fresh. Plus, there were plenty of convenient dining and takeout options nearby. Overall, it made for a fantastic trip, and I'm already planning to bring my family back for a few days next time.

Had an excellent stay! The hotel's location is very convenient, the rooms were clean and tidy, and the bedding was comfortable. The front desk staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, and the breakfast offered a rich variety of options. It provides fantastic value for money, and I'll definitely choose to stay here again next time! We also enjoyed a nice river view, and they even served complimentary congee in the evening.

This hotel boasts a fantastic location! It's just a short stroll to the Natural History Museum, and right by the Suzhou River. The rooms are incredibly cozy and well-appointed, and the bedding was so soft and comfortable that I had a wonderful night's sleep. The front desk staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, and the breakfast spread was also rich and varied. I'll definitely be staying here again on my next trip to Shanghai!

As a family of four, we specifically booked a two-bedroom suite, and the photos online are exactly what you get. The hotel breakfast was excellent and varied. You could truly feel the staff's dedication and passion in preparing the dishes. Having stayed in numerous hotels, I can tell this wasn't just going through the motions; they genuinely chose delicious, high-quality ingredients. Facing Suzhou Creek, the location strikes a perfect balance between vibrancy and tranquility. There are two subway stations within a 10-minute walk, making it very convenient to visit various attractions across Shanghai, especially the Sihang Warehouse. Cleanliness and all other services were up to Atour's usual high standards. If you had any needs, you could just ask directly. I'm generally not a demanding person, but it was reassuring to know their service was readily available.

Situated by Suzhou Creek, the hotel offers lovely views and is perfect for a leisurely evening stroll. The common areas on the ground floor are very comfortable, ideal for relaxing with a cup of tea and a chat, and there's even a play area for children. The rooms are clean, cozy, and beautifully decorated with an old Shanghai charm.

This was my first time staying at the much-talked-about Atour Hotel, and I was pleasantly surprised! Particularly this two-bedroom suite at the Natural History Museum branch – it's perfect for families. As a germaphobe, I really appreciated the thoughtful touch of two generous alcohol disinfectant wipes provided next to the toilet. The only slight downside was that the other bedroom didn't have air conditioning, but with just a fan at night, it wasn't cold. I'd definitely stay here again!

The hotel lobby was bright and impressive, but the room type I chose was quite small, truly only suitable for a solo guest. There was also a faint, stuffy smell in the corridors, possibly due to poor ventilation. However, the location is fantastic, right by Suzhou Creek, making it perfect for a jog or a leisurely stroll. It's very close to the Natural History Museum and has shopping malls conveniently nearby. There's even a delicious omurice restaurant that's a must-try!

The hotel boasts an excellent location, offering a quiet retreat despite being in a bustling area. It's very close to the Sihang Warehouse Battle Memorial and just a 15-20 minute walk to Nanjing Road. Service at the hotel was good, and the ground floor common area was adequate. However, the rooms are a bit on the small side, and the cleanliness could definitely be improved. On the upside, my room overlooked Suzhou Creek, providing a beautiful view.

Complimentary tea was offered upon check-in, and the front desk staff were incredibly welcoming. The hotel boasts a great ambiance. It's conveniently located near Suzhou Creek and close to the Natural History Museum. The rooms are spotlessly clean and tidy, and well-equipped with amenities. On the first floor, there's a laundry room and a gym. The 'Zhuju' (Bamboo Lounge) in the lobby has a dedicated children's play area, and they even have a late-night congee (porridge) shop – perfect for tired and hungry travelers, haha!

The hotel's service was excellent, and it was impeccably clean. They even offered complimentary tea in the lobby. The location was incredibly convenient for our trip, as it was very close to the Natural History Museum and the Ocean Aquarium we planned to visit, making getting around a breeze. The front desk staff were also fantastic; they upgraded our room during check-in and even provided complimentary breakfast. It made for a delightful family trip! I would definitely recommend it to friends visiting Shanghai.

perhaps the whole check-in took much longer than what I would expect. furthermore, that was my second check-in after two days travelling out to the nearby ancient old towns: JinXi and Zhujiajiao

First hotel I booked, online, from abroad. It ended up being the most expensive and not the best one. The premises were clean, the breakfast was ok (although extra on a 500 RMB baseline), and the location was okay-ish. But the value for money is pretty bad.

Nice warm hotel light as its name. Old building in good shape but noisy with no isolation, while in your room, you can hear the load talking! Breakfast is below average with little options. it's not 4 stars Chinese standard, I will give it 3 stars!

The staff is friendly and helpful the breakfast good and the location very good!! However after 12 years in service it need uplift here and there
