The room is quite comfortable and spacious. The bed is quite comfy and big, even for two people. Location wise is pretty great, the metro station is roughly 5 minutes walk away, with stores like a Familymart and McDonald's near the hotel, so its doable to get your own quick breakfast if you did not opt for the hotel breakfast. Did not explore the wider vicinity so might have missed even more food options near to the hotel. Theres a free minibar which is quite appreciated especially if want a drink after a long trip day. The hotel staff also provided free drinks (similar to the welcome drink during check in) after checking out. The downside is that the toilet had issues of getting clogged (twice) but the hotel staff quickly resolved it before we are back to the hotel room at the end of the day. Additionally, the hotel cleaners may need to be more attentive on the small things like refilling the body shampoo as it ran out and it is only refilled by the last night of our stay. Would consider this hotel again the next time I'm in Shanghai

By far the best hotel I have stayed in China. Cindy is very friendly and helpful. It is also relatively close to metro station and the surrounding area is less busy/more serene compared to the city centre, thus minimum traffic noise. Would definitely stay again for our next visit.

The hotel is right above the railway. It is super noisy when the train passes by. It is not on the description. I was not able to sleep since 6am. I have to change to another hotel for such reason. However, the staff is very friendly and helpful with the transition

We enjoyed our stay at the SSAW The hotel was very near the metro and was easy to access Shanghai city center The room was spotless, the shower was the best we have used since our time in China Reception staff were excellent

This hotel have good location, clean, and comfy.

The place is fine, breakfast is okay, room was clean and tide.

The location turned out to be very far from the city center and the crowd. The hotel was just ordinary. The receptionist was very slow and unfriendly. The cleaning service lady forced herself to come in and clean the room while the guest was still sleeping. When told to clean it later, they ended up just changing the towels and throwing out the trash and not cleaning the bed that day.

The room I got was on the 2nd floor and did not have any views, but other rooms' windows. It cost ONLY 91 cabadian dollars because there is a subway underneath. I got an upgrade to another room on the same floor, which was just a bit far off the subway line. It was a bit annoying as the subway noise only vanished from 2300 to 0500. Be aware when you book this hotel. It was not mentioned in the description at all that there is a subway line. I would not book the hotel if I had known it. The location of the hotel is not that great as well.

They didn't allow us to Change the breakfast for lunch or dinner, even tho that is included in the reservation

This is such a great accommodation that we really have nothing to complain about. (1) good location, very near the metro but not too near to be bothered by the sound of the train (2) very comfortable furniture with elegant design (3) a top-notch breakfast buffet with so many options to choose from - the best we have experienced so far. This will certainly be our first choice the next time we come back to Shanghai.

It‘s a new Hotel close to a Metro Station where you can take 2 Metro lines. The connection to downtown and to tourist attractions is fast. The beds were super comfortable and the rooms clean. You feel and hear a rumbeling sound when the metro passes underneath the hotel. Since the metro doesn‘t run between 11pm and 6am it‘s no problem during the night. We can totall recommend this hotel.

It depends on what type of services you need. The room that I had booked had poor sound insulation , I can hear what the other room is talking about and even the intimate part. The underground train that passes by every 3-5min early in the morning will actually cost slightly vibration and sound as well. My advise is that those who are light sleeper to avoid this hotel. However the room is very clean and projector tv is a plus point
