Everything exceeded our expectations. The owners and their family were incredibly warm and welcoming. From the moment they picked us up from the station on the first day, their service was five-star. They proactively helped with our luggage, offered us their umbrella, and even opened doors for us – truly wonderful and incredibly thoughtful! ☺️ The owner's wife, along with some young women, offered us warming Rhodiola tea. They greeted us enthusiastically every time we came and went, and always checked if we had an umbrella. Our room was exceptionally spacious, impeccably clean, and had a subtle, pleasant fragrance. Absolutely fantastic! 👍

This is a fantastic hotel! Everyone was incredibly welcoming. The owner even personally drove us to the station in their business car, which was a lovely touch. The local souvenir gifts they provided were also very thoughtful and delicious. Breakfast was exquisite and tasty, and they were happy to offer extra servings. The location is excellent; it's much easier to drive to than other hotels inside the ancient town. Plus, the terrace offers direct views of Turtle Mountain Park. I would absolutely choose this hotel again on my next trip.

We booked two rooms last minute upon arriving in Shangri-La, and we were genuinely impressed! This guesthouse is relatively new. The rooms are spotlessly clean, tidy, comfortable, and feel quite spacious. The king room even has a lovely private balcony, which is perfect for a relaxed cup of tea and a chat. The host was incredibly warm, attentive, and thoughtful. Plus, it's conveniently located near the attractions.

The hotel boasts brand-new, modern facilities and impeccable cleanliness. However, what truly distinguishes this hotel is its outstanding service. From the moment we arrived and were greeted curbside, through the check-in process – which included a thoughtful offering of Rhodiola welcome tea in the lobby to aid with altitude sickness – to assistance with luggage, detailed explanations of all amenities, and a delivered welcome afternoon tea, every step of our stay, right up to check-out, was handled with remarkable warmth and meticulous care. This unparalleled service far exceeds what one would expect even from a five-star hotel! The breakfast, too, was incredibly refined.

The room was beautiful, and our hostess was incredibly warm and kind. What truly touched us was that despite our early 8 AM arrival at Shangri-La airport, she was already there, patiently waiting to pick us up. Upon arriving at the guesthouse, she proactively offered each of us breakfast – a warm bowl of rice noodles and a varied, compartmentalized breakfast, which was exactly what we needed to recover from the ordeal of only getting half an hour of sleep during our transfer the night before. Our heartfelt thanks go to our hostess for her meticulous care and the conveniences she provided, which made the first leg of our trip truly unforgettable. Enjoying the evening breeze on the terrace, with distant views of Dafo Temple at night and the Indigo Hotel's rooftop billboard, was simply delightful.

Our room was spacious and very comfortable. The location is fantastic, just a short walk from Moonlight Square and all the popular sightseeing spots. The owner was incredibly warm, friendly, and genuinely attentive to our family's needs throughout our stay. On our first day, we were a bit affected by altitude sickness and slept in, so they thoughtfully brought breakfast directly to our room. They even reminded us to take an umbrella when it was raining, which was such a kind and heartwarming gesture. Breakfast was also excellent, and we truly felt right at home. Our children absolutely loved it here as well!

Our journey took us through Kunming, Dali, and Lijiang, culminating in Shangri-La. Among all our accommodations, this guesthouse was by far the most unexpected and delightful surprise. The owners perfectly exemplify genuine local hospitality. Upon our arrival, they proactively picked us up from the station. Even in the pouring rain, they got out to assist with our luggage, and their staff came out with umbrellas to greet us at the entrance. The guesthouse's design and facilities are clearly the work of a professional designer; both the amenities and ambiance are superb! As soon as we entered our room, we were treated to exquisite fruits and freshly squeezed orange juice. Crucially, especially at this high altitude, they offer a diffuse oxygen supply, which made our stay incredibly comfortable. Breakfast was also very abundant and exquisitely prepared. On our second day, we planned to take a taxi to Pudacuo. The owner's wife saw us trying to book one, asked about the price, and immediately advised us to cancel. She then arranged for a trusted Didi driver to take us. The round-trip fare ended up being the same as a one-way taxi ride we would have paid – she was genuinely concerned we might be overcharged. We knew Shangri-La was famous for Matsutake mushrooms and proactively asked the owner's wife about them. To our astonishment, we learned she had been in the Matsutake and Cordyceps business for decades before opening the guesthouse. Yet, they explicitly told us they wouldn't proactively mention it to guests, fearing it might come across as trying to sell something. Thanks to this incredible guesthouse, we are now eager to dedicate more of our future travel time to Shangri-La.

Had such an amazing stay at this hotel! All of the staffs were very friendly and hospitable. It made us feel super welcoming staying here. Bonus, it’s walkable distance from the Dukezong Ancient City. Room was well kept and everything you need is provided. Oxygen supply has been a great help to prevent us from the altitude sickness. The hotel even arranged pick up and drop off, which was such a great gesture! Breakfast was delicious, with quite a number of side dishes.

Highly recommended! Everything matches the pictures. The room smells pleasant and is always clean. Their services are excellent. Free pickup from the train station and within walking distance to the Golden Bell. We had a wonderful stay at this guest house! The boss and lady boss were incredibly kind and friendly, making us feel right at home. They even gave us a thoughtful gift when we checked out, which was such a lovely gesture. We really appreciated the free pick-up and drop-off service from the train station — it made our arrival and departure so convenient. The floor warmer and oxygen supply were absolute lifesavers in the cold weather and high altitude; we were so grateful for that extra comfort. One of the most heartwarming parts of our stay was how well they took care of my friend after she injured her knee. Their genuine concern and help meant a lot to us. Highly recommended for anyone visiting the area — not just for the facilities, but for the warmth and care of the hosts.

Excellent services provided by bosses and staff. Always there to welcome guests back at the door step. Breakfast is excellent and snacks are provided for every day of our stay. Assisted us with our laundry as well and the lady boss also offered to drive us to the day tour pick-up point nearby. Very detailed in explaining the facilities in the room. Thank you so much for your parting gift too. Strongly recommended accommodation.
