"The shower gel and conditioner bottles were empty, and the amenities were consistently incomplete. There was absolutely no service whatsoever. Terrible experience. The coffee was available one day and not the next, and there were no tea bags for two consecutive days."

"The fireworks at Darling Harbour were absolutely stunning, and our room faced Darling Harbour directly. The kids basically lived on the balcony, doing homework, watching fireworks, and eating – they called it the best hotel of the trip. Personally, I found the room a bit small; once we opened our two 28-inch suitcases, there was no space left. Also, the lighting was a bit dim and lacked brightness. Breakfast was quite Western-style, good quality but with limited variety. The kids were quite sad when they realized there was no ice cream, no chocolate fountain, no dessert bar, and no self-service juice (compared to the Crown in Melbourne and Langham where we stayed). But as parents, we were thrilled! Less sugar intake, and the fruits and yogurt were excellent quality. The eggs used for omelets and Eggs Benedict were organic. The downside is that it's a bit far from the subway station, and the walk back to the hotel area at night felt a little dark. My biggest complaint is that in the morning, the kids left a cup on the breakfast table, and when we checked out, they wouldn't even look for it, claiming the breakfast bar staff had gone off duty. My daughter was very upset about her Tiger thermos and even cried."

"Nice hotel. Usually good value for the price, except when they are almost full, then it can get expensive. But most of the time good value for money. Staff are very polite and amiable and most of the rooms are clean and comfortable. A few rooms are a little rough and dated but they are slowly being renovated. All round great hotel."

Amazing
GGuest UserI really like Capella. The service is excellent, and the rooms are cleaned and turndown service is provided punctually. I even encountered a front desk staff member who spoke Chinese. The breakfast selection isn't huge, but it's sufficient. The twin room felt like one large and one small bed, which was perfectly fine. The location is convenient for getting anywhere, and food delivery is also available.

AAnonymous UserWe had a wonderful 3-night stay at W Sydney. Overall, it was a great experience. The room was clean, modern, and well-maintained, and we were fortunate to be assigned a room on the 27th floor with a fantastic view of Darling Harbour. One thoughtful touch was the umbrella provided in the room, which came in very handy as the weather was rainy during our first two days in Sydney. The staff were also friendly, welcoming, and always willing to assist whenever needed. The combination of excellent service, comfortable accommodation, and stunning harbour views made our stay very enjoyable. We would definitely consider staying here again on our next visit to Sydney.

GGuest UserWe stayed at Mantra 2 Bond Street Sydney for five nights, and overall, it was a pleasant experience. Although the hotel was undergoing renovations during our stay, it didn't bother us much as we were out most of the time. The hotel's location is excellent, just a stone's throw from the metro station and close to several major attractions, making it a very convenient base for exploring Sydney. The breakfast was also satisfying, with a good variety of options that kept us full every morning. However, there were a few minor downsides. The hotel has three elevators, but only two were operational during our stay. For an 18-story hotel, this meant the elevators were often full during peak hours, and we ended up taking the stairs most of the time. One evening, when we returned to the hotel, the front desk was unstaffed, which made us feel a bit less secure. Additionally, the room door locks seemed a bit old-fashioned and didn't look very secure from the outside. We hope the hotel will upgrade them in the future. Despite these minor shortcomings, the positives outweighed the negatives. This is a well-located and comfortable hotel, and we would still happily recommend it to others.

SStarry3skyStayed at Meriton Suites Pitt Street Sydney and had a generally comfortable experience with a few areas that could be improved. The location is excellent—very convenient for getting around the city, shopping, and dining. The room itself is spacious and well-equipped, especially the kitchen which had everything needed for a longer stay. I also appreciated the balcony and the bathtub, which added a nice touch of relaxation after a long day out. However, considering the price, the overall value felt slightly lacking. The rates are on the higher side, and I did notice that the bathtub cleanliness could be improved, which was a bit disappointing. That said, the facilities and convenience still make it a decent choice for those who prefer apartment-style accommodation in the heart of Sydney. With some improvements in cleanliness and pricing, it would be an even better stay.

TTim Captures MomentsWe stayed at Meriton Suites Kent Street and really enjoyed the location and apartment-style setup. We chose it mainly because it included a kitchenette, washing machine, and more of a home-style layout rather than just a standard hotel room, which made our three-night stay much more comfortable. The location was excellent, close to Chinatown, making it easy to explore local restaurants, markets, and the seafood market, while still being within walking distance of Sydney’s main attractions and landmarks. The hotel itself was functional and suited us well. We actually liked not having daily cleaning service, as it gave us more privacy and made the stay feel more relaxed and independent. Overall, it was a comfortable and convenient place to stay, and we would definitely stay there again.

228Rahil08We traveled to Sydney over NYE, so choices were limited as I booked quite late. Limited in the sense of price / quality. I think Meriton was a good alternative with also a decent view on the firework. Since I went by boat on 9pm firework I didn’t need to be close for the midnight one (personal choice) Reception was superb, we got the room already at around 12:30. Very friendly staff. We were in Tower 3, so had to walk quite a bit indoors to get there. But getting out is easy, the tower has a separate entry / exit. Overall, that was the summary: • Spacious family-friendly apartments with very large rooms and floor-to-ceiling windows • Stunning views from the third tower, including a clear view all the way to the Harbour Bridge on New Year’s Eve • Excellent location with direct metro access, major shopping malls within walking distance, and great breakfast cafés nearby We stayed here as a family over New Year’s Eve and had a fantastic experience. While it was not cheap, the space, views, and connectivity more than justify the price, making it an excellent base for exploring Sydney comfortably.

GGeorgeR21Although the rooftop swimming pool is not big, the view is great. There are buildings under construction around, so the environment is a bit noisy, but the working hours on Australian construction sites are short, so most of the time it does not affect the stay experience. Upgraded to a terrace room, the room is spacious and the hygiene is very good, in line with InterContinental's consistent standards. The location is not far from Sydney's major attractions, but there is no public transportation. It is recommended to take a taxi or Uber. Double Bay, where the hotel is located, is a high-end residential area. The nearby beaches and commercial areas are worth a visit. Overall, it is recommended, especially if you are not in a hurry or have already visited Sydney's major attractions, you can stay here for a while.

FFoshanliaoshenGetting there is super easy. From Sydney Airport Station, it's just a few stops on the T train to Central Station. Then, it's about an 8-minute walk to the hotel – the whole trip takes less than 20 minutes. From Central Station, you can hop on the light rail to get to many nearby attractions, which is really convenient. Quick tip: Buy an Opal card as soon as you get to the airport station; you can top it up whenever you need to!
