This is our second time staying at this hotel. We loved it so much the first time we decided to stay here again - second time was just as good as we remembered it! Hotel is beautiful, room is spacious and comfortable, amenities all excellent - lotion, shampoo and body wash smells so good! Location is also great (there's Manner coffee and a Popmart roboshop right outside, and one of Suzhou's famous pan-fried dumplings franchise just across the road). Our booking included a happy hour for our stay, which included drinks and snacks. Buffet breakfast was also quite good with a good selection of Chinese and western choices (the bread were really good). Staff were also very helpful and attentive throughout. We visited with our elderly parents and they also enjoyed their stay very much!

Before we even arrived, she proactively added me on WeChat to confirm my arrival time and needs. She even discreetly arranged a room upgrade for us, and I was absolutely stunned when I opened the door – our garden view room overlooked the hotel's central landscape. The traditional grey tiles and white walls reflected the shimmering water. Waking up to birdsong and watching the mist rise over the water in the morning, or sitting by the window in the evening to watch the sunset over the water, every picture I took captured a wonderful ambiance and completely cured my travel fatigue. During our stay, no matter what issues we encountered, Vickey was always quick to respond on WeChat. At check-out, to my surprise, she had already prepared a special hotel souvenir, saying she hoped this thoughtful gesture would extend the joy of our trip. From the pre-arrival communication to the detailed service and the stunning room views, every aspect showed the hotel's dedication. Next time I'm in Suzhou, I'll definitely choose Kimpton Bamboo Grove again, and I'll certainly ask Vickey to assist us!

Inside, there's a magnificent camphor tree, and the gardens feature charming pavilions, trickling streams, and delicate bridges that create a picturesque scene with every step. The hotel is also conveniently located next to Shiquan Street, and within walking distance of the bustling Shuangta Market and Fengmen Old Street, perfect for exploring authentic Suzhou flavors. The Garden View Room with Water Scenery was spacious and bright, well-equipped, and had soft lighting that created a cozy atmosphere. The soundproofing was excellent, ensuring a restful night's sleep. The views were also fantastic, with the golden hotel beautifully framed – it was incredibly picturesque. The front desk staff kindly escorted me to my room, providing meticulous service. Breakfast offered a wide variety of delicious options, energizing me for the day. My butler, Cherry, sent detailed check-in tips, showing that the Kimpton consistently prioritizes comfort and attention to detail. I look forward to returning to this charming江南 (Jiangnan) setting.

The heated swimming pool and fitness center were also very well-maintained, adding more options for a relaxing weekend. From the seamless check-in upon arrival to the warm farewell upon departure, every aspect of the service was just right. This stay truly made me fall in love with the whole experience.

This attention to detail immediately put my mind at ease as a parent traveling with a child. This first stay far exceeded my expectations. The sunshine in our third-floor south-facing room, the bed rails prepared by Vickey for our child, and the consistently excellent facilities and service made our entire family feel comfortable and at ease. The most delightful surprise was that my visit coincided with late autumn! From the room window, or while strolling in the hotel's small courtyard, you could see layers of fiery red maple leaves. The afternoon autumn sun cast dappled light through the branches, and the rustling sound of fallen leaves underfoot added to this unique romance and poetry, enhancing the entire stay significantly. Whether it was the hotel's own sense of history or the slow pace of life in the surrounding old streets, everything allowed for complete relaxation. The staff service was also warm and attentive. This autumn trip was simply perfect, and I highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys experiencing the soul of a city and the beauty of the seasons – you won't be disappointed! Choosing the courtyard room at the Kimpton Bamboo Grove Suzhou was such a brilliant decision for our trip to Suzhou! Stepping out, we had our own private little courtyard with wicker chairs and a small table. Sitting there in the early morning, smelling the fresh scent of the surrounding greenery and hearing faint bird calls in the distance, away from the city's hustle and bustle, just melted away all the travel fatigue. The staff, especially the young lady named Cherry, was also wonderful – a big thank you to her. The hotel breakfast was incredibly impressive too, with a wide variety of options, including local Suzhou specialties like soup dumplings and Aozhao noodles. You can even customize your freshly made noodles with different toppings, and they tasted just as good as those from famous old eateries outside. There were also fresh fruits, freshly baked bread, and even seven or eight different drink options. Enjoying a leisurely breakfast really set us up for the whole day. The room facilities were exceptional; the air conditioning and water heater worked perfectly, the wet and dry separation in the bathroom was well-designed, and even the makeup mirror had a built-in light, which was super convenient for getting ready. There were so many charging outlets that we never had to fight for one, and there was even a designated spot for our luggage. This stay was incredibly comfortable, offering both the elegance of a courtyard room, delicious breakfast, and comprehensive facilities – perfectly meeting all our travel needs. I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time I'm in Suzhou and have already recommended it to friends planning to visit!

It's advertised as a design-focused hotel with a Suzhou flair, but it's really nothing special. 1. There's hardly any garden design except for the main entrance. 2. The greenery and views are very average; the promotional photos require specific angles to look good. 3. The hotel itself is integrated with residential villas, which significantly impacts the guest experience. The overall style feels like a hotel tacked onto a real estate project – it lacks character, or at least, its character isn't prominent. Service: Non-existent. I've stayed at many Kimpton hotels worldwide, including the one in Shanghai, and their service details are always impressive. Kimpton's positioning is a luxurious yet youthful brand within the group. 1. At other Kimptons, from check-in to returning to the hotel each time and then checking out, staff would proactively ask if I needed anything, how my stay was, or if there were any areas for improvement or modification. At the Suzhou location, however, from check-in to check-out, no staff member greeted me, engaged in conversation, or asked for feedback. There was simply no service to speak of. If you're coming here for the service, don't bother. 2. Check-in guidance: The young man who guided us to our room was very flighty, literally. He lacked basic etiquette and guidance skills, tossing his hair around, showing no manners, and just rushing through his task. He didn't even notice guests weren't following him to the room. He unlocked the door, mumbled something about 'mind the door,' and left??? I've stayed in so many hotels, and this kind of guidance is completely unnecessary. Even if it's not a St. Regis-style butler service, they could at least provide some training. A simple "enjoy your stay" isn't hard. If not, perhaps just cancel this meaningless check-in guidance. 3. Dishonest hospitality: I think it was the customer service department or something. After checking out, I received a call: "Dear guest, please be so kind as to leave a good review on Ctrip. The next time you stay with us, you can let us know in advance, and we will arrange a room upgrade for you." Honestly, if they wanted to offer a room upgrade, they should have done it from the start. Arranging an upgrade for high-tier members on third-party platforms shouldn't be difficult. In this situation, who would want to spend money to stay here again? Facilities: 1. In terms of facilities, it's a standard luxury hotel. The lobby is crowded and narrow, with an extremely unreasonable flow, making it chaotic like a wet market. 2. Signage is very poorly set up. Coming out of the underground parking, there were no clear signs, so we had to figure out where the lobby was on our own. Seriously... they can't even get the basics right. Oh, and the cleanliness was just average too... the tissue box wasn't even wiped clean. The breakfast was pretty good though. They really need to make some serious improvements.

Hot water in the bathroom was instant, and the toiletries were pleasant to use. There were even plenty of charging outlets, so I could charge my phone and tablet simultaneously without a fuss. The bedding was exceptional – soft but supportive, and the pillows were just the right height. At night, with the gentle sound of the river breeze, I slept like a baby. I was looking for a quiet place to relax, and this hotel completely met my expectations. It offers both the elegant scenery of the city moat and comprehensive facilities, making for a comfortable and worry-free stay. I'd definitely choose this place again on my next visit to Suzhou, maybe even try a different room type. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a peaceful river-view room!

The separate toilet and shower room offered a dry and wet separation, meeting all daily needs. The minibar was complimentary on the first night, and the Dongwu Old Soda and Dongwu Lychee Queen Soda were delightfully sweet and not cloying – so delicious! The service was exceptionally attentive, with staff being warm and thoughtful throughout. A special shout-out to Amber, who kindly helped us with a late check-out, giving us ample time to pack and enjoy our last moments. It was truly heartwarming! This stay definitely deserves extra praise! From the intricate room details and the red leaves and osmanthus scent outside the window to the complete facilities and attentive service, everything contributed to an exceptionally pleasant experience. It was a perfect 10/10 stay, ideal for both leisure vacations and exploring Suzhou. I'd definitely choose to stay here again on my next visit!

As soon as I entered, I noticed the clothes rack and safe. The vanity featured refreshing citrus-scented hand soap, and the amenities, packed in stylish black and white striped cloth bags, really set the tone. The separate shower had hot water in 10 seconds, and the large oval bathtub even came with verbena bath salts. The smart toilet seat significantly enhanced comfort. The mini-bar's first round was complimentary, stocked with everything from hawthorn and lychee sodas to Voss water. On the counter, there was a capsule coffee machine and Biluochun tea, making it convenient whether you preferred tea or coffee. The room was well-equipped with soft slippers, a yoga mat, and a garment steamer. Although the Solis high-speed hairdryer wasn't a Dyson, it was perfectly adequate. The bedside Bluetooth speaker, double power outlets, and light-controlled curtain switch were all very practical. The round sofa was comfortable for lounging, and the balcony had two lounge chairs, offering a wonderfully relaxing view of the garden and water features. Even the custom bamboo room card showed great thoughtful design. It was a stay that was both convenient and incredibly comfortable! The hotel breakfast was also excellent, with fresh coconuts, yogurt, freshly squeezed juices, and delicious Eggs Benedict made to order by the chef. It truly set a good mood for the day. I'll definitely stay here again if I have the chance!

The gym equipment was brand new and came with complimentary drinking water and towels, so there was no need to bring your own. After staying here, I realized that good facilities aren't about being flashy, but rather about thoughtful details hidden in plain sight. Cherry had contacted me in advance, sending useful check-in tips and the hotel's location, which was very considerate. I will definitely choose Kimpton Bamboo Grove Suzhou again on my next visit to Suzhou.

The hotel is absolutely beautiful; I was blown away the moment I walked in. I also slept incredibly well. Lying on the balcony sofa in the evening, enjoying the crisp autumn twilight and the golden hues, was just wonderful. The breakfast was incredibly rich and varied. The Suzhou-style red soup noodles were sweet and delicious, the smoked salmon was fresh and tasty, and the coconut was also very fresh and sweet. I especially loved the sesame glutinous rice balls (picture five)—they were so good I had two!

Over 20 years ago, the Suzhou Zhuhui Hotel was my benchmark in the industry, holding countless cherished memories. So, when the Kimpton Bamboo Grove Suzhou reopened in 2022 after its renovation, I'd been eager to revisit. This off-peak trip finally made that wish come true. On the day of departure, I received a WeChat message from Amber in the hotel's guest relations department. Not only did she thoughtfully provide directions and activity reminders, but she also arranged a deluxe water view twin room for us. This level of detail immediately heightened my expectations. Upon entering the room, I found everything from a Dyson hairdryer and capsule coffee machine to a Toto Washlet. The complimentary mini-bar and fresh fruit platter were a generous touch, with every detail contributing to a comfortable stay. I spent an entire day exploring the hotel, and the rockeries, bonsai, pavilions, and towers all exuded a classical Suzhou charm; every plant and tree seemed to whisper stories of the past. Dinner and breakfast were even more impressive, with dishes that were as beautiful as they were delicious, absolutely on par with what I remembered. After just one night, I already feel like this place has become a 'home away from home' in Suzhou. The Kimpton Bamboo Grove truly lives up to the fondness I held for its past. I'll definitely be back if I have the chance!
