I visited Jiangsu, China on a business trip and planned to spend the weekend exploring the surrounding area. The main reason I chose Suzhou instead of Shanghai was the Kimpton Hotel. I was not disappointed—the quality of service fully met my expectations, and the hotel’s distinctive architecture, unlike anything I have experienced at other hotels, left me deeply impressed. Although I have stayed at other IHG Group hotels before, the service I received here stood out as truly exceptional. I would especially like to thank Host Cherry, who consistently checked in via chat to ensure I had no inconveniences, as well as the hosts (whose names I regret I cannot recall) who helped with bicycle rentals, confirming train destinations for my trip to Suzhou Station, and recommending dinner options at the restaurant. Thanks to their warm and attentive service, I had a wonderful stay. If I visit the area again in the future, I would love to return to this hotel.

The moment I opened the room window, I truly understood the meaning of 'a room with a view.' Shimmering water and lush greenery spilled into my sight, while the sounds of wind and water, carrying the fresh scent of plants, wafted in. Without even trying to find it, I was instantly immersed in the serene comfort of nature. The details in the room were even more delightful. From the high-quality toiletries to the clear sound of the audio-visual equipment, all basic needs were meticulously met. The soft, skin-friendly bedding made me never want to leave the bed. A dedicated workspace came with an eye-caring desk lamp, and even the anti-slip mat and makeup mirror in the bathroom showed thoughtful attention to detail. There was absolutely no need to worry about anything being missing or overlooked; every single feature provided a comforting sense of being valued. What was most impressive was the seamless communication with Cherilizi via WeChat in advance. From confirming check-in requirements to providing detailed reminders, everything was handled smoothly. This stay offered both the restorative power of natural scenery and the warmth of attentive service. It was entirely hassle-free and utterly comfortable, making the overall experience truly exceptional!

This is a fantastic hotel with a unique ambiance. It's also conveniently located near the scenic spots. The front desk staff were incredibly diligent and helpful, even arranging adjoining rooms for us. The dark, sleek decor upon entry creates a strong garden atmosphere, and you can enjoy a view of a pavilion just by opening the window. The in-room amenities are comprehensive, including a variety of complimentary drinks and snacks that you're welcome to take with you. The makeup mirror is an AMIRO, and the sound system is excellent. Our overall stay experience was perfect. Breakfast: The breakfast spread truly stood out from other hotels, with every single dish exquisitely prepared. Highlights included signature Suzhou-style wontons and noodles, as well as Eggs Benedict. They even offered Kashi yogurt, and the desserts, bread, and fresh fruit were all delicious. In summary, for anyone seeking an exceptional and comfortable experience, staying here is absolutely worthwhile!

This is an exceptionally comfortable hotel. We were delighted to receive a room upgrade, and even before our arrival, Weiqi from the hotel called to confirm my preference for a 3rd-floor room, which they were happy to arrange. The views are stunning and the panorama is expansive! Absolutely a perfect score! The soundproofing in the room is excellent. Upon entering the room, we were informed that the mini-bar was complimentary. The hotel's location is excellent, within 2 km of Shiquan Street, Wuqueqiao Road, and the Master of the Nets Garden. You can rent their incredibly stylish bicycles from the hotel to cycle to these spots. The hotel's public areas are quite spacious, especially for a hotel in the old town. The man-made garden landscape near the 168 Bar is particularly picturesque and perfect for photos. Both the gym and swimming pool are generously sized. The 5 PM 'social hour' is open to all guests, offering complimentary drinks and snacks. Though the bar area isn't large, sitting by the water feature, admiring the rockeries and pavilions, creates a truly wonderful atmosphere.

The biggest highlight of our Suzhou trip was definitely choosing this hotel! Our room offered stunning views of the city moat right from the window. During the day, we enjoyed the shimmering river surface, and in the evenings, we savored the beautiful sunset. Sitting by the window, we could truly feel the peaceful ambiance of Gusu, it was incredibly therapeutic. The room facilities were exceptionally comprehensive. Beyond the usual hairdryer, they even provided a yoga mat and a garment steamer – such thoughtful details that perfectly met all our travel needs. I must especially commend staff member "Cherries." Before check-in, she proactively called us to carefully inquire about our room preferences and needs. After we connected on WeChat, she responded instantly to all our questions, which was incredibly thoughtful and helpful. Even after check-out, she sent a follow-up message to check in on us – this level of care was truly heartwarming. The entire experience was absolutely superb, and I'll definitely choose this hotel again for my next trip to Suzhou!

Staying in the garden-view Shuijingfang room at the Kimpton Suzhou, I finally understood the true 'serene elegance' of Jiangnan. Opening the window revealed an expansive view, with the lush garden greenery reflecting the traditional well, creating a scene of pure poetry. Even the breeze carried a hint of tranquility. Watching the clouds drift by, I felt completely at ease. The room's details were even more impressive, going far beyond mere "completeness." The powerful hairdryer banished travel fatigue, a lighted vanity mirror ensured perfect moments, and even the tea set exuded elegance. Simply brewing a pot of tea instantly immersed me in the charm of Gusu. What surprised me even more were the thoughtful amenities: from essential USB fast-charging ports to supremely comfortable bedding and effective blackout curtains, every single detail precisely catered to a traveler's needs. I felt even more comfortable than I do at home. A special thank you also goes to Cherry. From discussing my needs before check-in to thoughtful reminders after arrival, everything was meticulously handled and incredibly warm. If you're looking for a place in Suzhou that combines both poetic charm and ultimate comfort, this Kimpton is truly an unbeatable choice!

The staff's attentiveness was evident throughout our stay—they greeted us in corridors, anticipated our needs, and maintained a perfect balance of professionalism and friendliness. The rooms were impeccable, featuring premium bedding, turndown service, and high-end amenities including Dyson hair dryers. The quality of in-room offerings far surpassed what one would typically expect from a hotel at this price, demonstrating their commitment to excellence down to the smallest detail. The property beautifully integrates historical courtyards and buildings, creating tranquil outdoor spaces perfect for relaxation. Bar 168 became our favorite evening gathering spot for social hour and drinks, offering the perfect atmosphere to unwind after exploring the city. We were there during a heat wave and were perfectly contented to not leave the hotel at all. Breakfast was truly an event worth anticipating each morning at their black pearl rated restaurant. The diverse selection included both Western and Chinese cuisine, with standout features being the made-to-order noodles, wonton, and egg station. We particularly appreciated how staff consistently offered tea or coffee upon arrival, ensuring we always had a warm beverage to enjoy with our meal. The hotel's strategic location offers unparalleled convenience—situated directly above an MRT station and adjacent to a modern shopping area. For those seeking cultural experiences, a short 15-minute walk leads to the historical tourist district, making this property perfect for first-time visitors to Suzhou through winding neighbourhood streets. We extend our gratitude to Cherry for a smooth checkout process, and even the hotel's merchandise—particularly the keychains—provided charming mementos of our stay. Worth the stay and service was really great. The fee paid for this hotel is really worth it. Upon reaching the hotel, you already have people ready to welcome you to the concierge. Checking in was a breeze. Hotel facilities and amenities was great. Room cleanliness was top notch, location was great and staff service was excellent. Would 10/10 choose this hotel again if I’m ever back in Suzhou. And this time, to just wind down and spend an entire day in the hotel.

The hotel is clean and cosy. Staff are friendly. Superb environment! Close to many tourist attraction. It’s also a pet friendly hotel. Highly recommended!
