The location is definitely the highlight of this hotel. Situated in The Rocks, it's just a few minutes' walk to key Sydney attractions like Circular Quay and the Harbour Bridge, making sightseeing incredibly convenient. The rooms are clean and tidy, but the decor is a bit dated and the furnishings feel quite old-fashioned, lacking a modern touch. One minor inconvenience for me was the lack of complimentary bottled water in the room. For travelers used to having mineral water as a standard amenity in domestic hotels, having to purchase it separately was a slight hassle. If location convenience is your priority, this is a great choice. However, if you're particular about modern room aesthetics and standard amenities, you might want to consider other options. Overall, I recommend it.
Although the rooftop swimming pool is not big, the view is great. There are buildings under construction around, so the environment is a bit noisy, but the working hours on Australian construction sites are short, so most of the time it does not affect the stay experience. Upgraded to a terrace room, the room is spacious and the hygiene is very good, in line with InterContinental's consistent standards. The location is not far from Sydney's major attractions, but there is no public transportation. It is recommended to take a taxi or Uber. Double Bay, where the hotel is located, is a high-end residential area. The nearby beaches and commercial areas are worth a visit. Overall, it is recommended, especially if you are not in a hurry or have already visited Sydney's major attractions, you can stay here for a while.
The location is perfect to go anywhere, beach, pub, restaurant, located in quiet street but close to everything, that is perfect for family. We will back again!
