Excellent! The receptionist was extremely friendly, organized a very nice room, spacious.  We had fun over a welcome drink and playing pool table. When we had check out, the driver he hire from a third company left us out, the hotel concierge was amazing, very fast in decision making, helping us to get another driver to the airport. Our family was very impressed how professional they are, I recommend and definitely will stay there again.

Built into a natural quarry, the hotel boasts a truly unique design, and the night views are absolutely breathtaking. Our room balcony offered direct views of the waterfall and lake, with evenings featuring a captivating water screen light show. It truly felt like stepping into a sci-fi movie!

As a frequent guest, I can attest that the high-tech room experience is truly superb; everything can be conveniently controlled via the AI assistant, XiaoDu!

Moreover, the service from our butler, Alice, was incredibly attentive and thorough. She proactively followed up and assisted with any issues we had, and even anticipated our needs by communicating with us beforehand, truly epitomizing 'proactive service and swift response,' which elevated our entire travel experience. I highly recommend asking Alice to help plan your experience; for those who appreciate attention to detail, you won't be disappointed!

Overall, I was quite satisfied with my stay. Upon check-in for my birthday, they thoughtfully provided a small cake, which was a nice touch. However, I wasn't able to receive a room upgrade. Interestingly, I found the Executive Deluxe Room to be preferable to the Executive Grand Room. A standout feature was the bathroom design: the toilet, vanity, bathtub, and shower are all in separate areas. There's even a small hand basin within the toilet cubicle, which is incredibly convenient as it allows the toilet and showering/bathing facilities to be used independently. This segmented design, where the toilet is in its own private cubicle, is similar to the twin rooms at Hyatt Regency Shanghai Global Harbor and Hyatt Regency Songjiang. The service at the Club InterContinental Lounge on the 10th floor was exceptionally attentive. Furthermore, the gym and swimming pool on the 5th floor are complimentary for all hotel guests.

It was our anniversary. They upgraded us and even gave us a room number that means I love you in chinese (1520), honestly that was really sweet of them, even gave us a wine bottle as a gift. The staff is so friendly and kind. We delivered some items and they were delivered when we were out, they collected it and kept it safely with them at the lobby. Their food (we ordered it in our room) was amazing. One of the best stay I have ever had. Really recommend this hotel for anyone coming to Shanghai,

While the decor in the VIP Tower has a vintage charm, the facilities are not at all old; it's clear everything is very well-maintained. The wooden furniture gleams, complemented by stylish dark red fabrics. High-end amenities like Byredo toiletries and Lebon mouthwash are provided. The bedding is also excellent.

The Executive Lounge has a sophisticated, artistic feel, and all the lounge staff were professional and friendly, with the strange exception of one staff member asking for a positive review on Dianping.

The concierge staff, both in the Main Building and the VIP Tower, provided excellent service.

The housekeeping staff we encountered in the VIP Tower were also friendly, proactively greeting us with smiles.

Breakfast at Langlu Restaurant offered a wide variety of choices, with an especially extensive selection of breads and yogurts. The dining and serving areas are spacious. However, the poached eggs were pre-made, and the yolks were unfortunately already solidified.

Upon check-in, the front desk informed us that all balcony rooms, regardless of size, would require a 1.5-hour wait, meaning we couldn't check in until after 3:30 PM. They also refused to arrange a room for us to wait in. While delays can be understood, there are serious issues with their room allocation management and communication strategy. Instead of offering solutions or showing empathy, the staff simply refused, which is not the standard practice in the service industry. They emphasized that check-in is strictly at 3 PM, which raises the question: are previous guests equally enforced to check out at the regulated 12 PM? When we asked if we could enter a cleaned room, they refused again, stating they couldn't issue a room key. It was only after my heavily pregnant wife expressed her frustration that we were immediately given a small balcony room – which, to our disappointment, faced the underground parking access.

Regarding cleanliness, there was hair in the bathtub that hadn't been properly cleaned.

When our taxi arrived, security staff simply told the driver he had taken the wrong route and to turn back, but offered no guidance or alternative directions.

The swimming pool and gym facilities are outsourced, which negatively impacts the guest experience.

Our stay at the InterContinental Shanghai Expo truly exceeded our expectations! A special shout-out to Jack at the front desk, who was incredibly welcoming and attentive during check-in. Upon learning it was our anniversary trip, he proactively upgraded our room. The new room was more spacious, offered an even better view, and was beautifully decorated, feeling both cozy and comfortable. It instantly melted away much of our travel fatigue.

The hotel's facilities and service were both top-notch. We'll definitely choose to stay here again on our next visit to Shanghai. A huge thumbs-up to Jack and the hotel!

However, I do have one minor suggestion: the air conditioning in the room was a bit unresponsive. The temperature was initially a bit high and took quite a while to cool down. It would be perfect if this could be optimized. Overall, it's highly recommended, and we'll certainly return when we have the chance.

The room carpets was the dirtiest in all the 5 star hotel I have stayed so far. The CNY crowd made things worse, it was hard to get a table for dinner in the hotel and breakfast everyday was frantic. Both the Chinese and Korean restaurants are bad, they would close in 6 months if they are opened in the city. if i wasn't lazy i would have driven out for every meal. First night in the Korean bbq, we had long waits between food and some of the cooked bbq was cold when served. Third night we had Chinese, the stired fried vegetables had a strange sour taste for Chinese yam, at least the manager took it back and gave a 10% discount. 
Overall it's hard to lay back and relax here, I won't be coming back again, had much better experience at the other one nearby.

A splendid experience, clean and comfy rooms, nice cleaning service and car parking assistance. Would recommend anyone to come and enjoy.

I regret not being able to see the inside of Burj Khalifa when I traveled to Dubai 6 years ago, so I came back. The location is not bad, but the design of the vehicle entrance and exit is strange, so drivers have a hard time finding it. Also, I asked for extra ketchup after ordering room dining, and it took an hour, but other than that, it was fine.

Super clean variety of foods, excellent service from the staff who attended us.

We recently stayed at the InterContinental Shenzhen with our family—our 3-year-old daughter, 12-year-old son, my wife, and me—and we absolutely loved it! The hotel is wonderfully child-friendly, with activities that kept our kids delighted throughout. The pirate-themed swimming pool was a standout; our children didn’t want to leave! Our daughter especially adored the train that circles the swimming play area, adding a magical touch to their fun.

The gym area is excellent, offering a great space for adults to unwind and stay active. The bar and restaurant exceeded our expectations, and breakfast was superb, featuring an impressive selection of both Chinese and Western dishes to suit every taste.

A big thank you to @Dafne 达芙妮 for making our entire stay so special — her thoughtful service truly enhanced our experience. We have been returning to this hotel since our son was 2 years old, and thanks to Dafne, this visit was extra memorable. We are already looking forward to our next stay!

Squeezing in a last-minute getaway, hehe😁 As many reviews noted, check-in was quite slow. However, I could tell the front desk attendant was genuinely putting in a lot of effort to find an available room and assign a suitable one. We were fortunate enough to get a room upgrade too. While waiting in line for check-in, a staff member offered us drinks and small pastries. Since it was already past 4 PM and we were quite tired upon arrival, this gesture was very thoughtful.

The seawater was indeed nice. From the balcony, you could see the free public park teeming with swimmers until very late at night. The waves were strong and quite high, and the kids had a blast. We even spotted small fish occasionally when diving underwater. The outdoor infinity pool was beautiful and very enjoyable to swim in. The indoor one, however, felt just so-so. The kids' play area was closed, so our main focus was playing in the ocean waves.

The information mentioned that dinner reservations were required, but tables were only held until 6 PM. Six o'clock, however, is the perfect time to enjoy the evening and witness the most beautiful sunset. So, making a reservation felt rather pointless; you could just go directly. Also, the weekend meal supplement was a bit pricey: 428 for adults, and 249 for children between 1.2-1.4 meters tall. The dishes were quite plentiful, with the most expensive item, small lobsters, limited to half a lobster per person. It felt more like we were paying for the ambiance than just the food. Furthermore, the package included breakfast for two adults and one child, but the child had to be under 1.2 meters tall. I felt that children under 1.2m are typically offered breakfast for free anyway, so explicitly stating it was 'included for one child' felt a bit like feigned generosity. However, there was a special discount if you added breakfast at the front desk.

Exiting the hotel lobby, if you turn right and walk up the road, you'll reach a seaside boardwalk where the water is even greener. It's about a 2km walk to Xiaomeisha, a nice option for those who enjoy strolling.

The travel photography service, highly praised in many reviews, was indeed great at teaching us how to pose. However, the 'fine-tuned' editing seemed to be mostly one-click beautification and wasn't really necessary; I would have preferred just the original photos.

Overall, if you're not particularly price-sensitive, you can definitely have a fantastic holiday experience here. A big thank you again for the room upgrade, which significantly enhanced our stay! 😄🥰

During my recent trip, I stayed at a five-star hotel, and the overall experience truly exceeded my expectations. The hotel's location was superb, right in the city center, with numerous shopping and dining options nearby, making it incredibly convenient for getting around.

Upon entering, the spacious and opulent lobby immediately left a lasting impression. The front desk staff were warm and friendly, and the check-in process was quick and efficient. My room was incredibly spacious and tastefully decorated, with breathtaking views from the floor-to-ceiling windows that were truly refreshing. The soft and comfortable bed ensured I enjoyed a high-quality sleep every night.

The hotel's dining service also deserves special mention. The breakfast selection was extensive, offering everything from fresh fruits to hot Western breakfast items, and the taste was superb. For dinner, I chose the hotel's restaurant, and the dishes were exquisite with rich flavors – truly a wonderful culinary experience.

In addition, the hotel's fitness facilities and swimming pool were excellent, allowing me to keep up with my workouts even during a busy itinerary. The staff's service attitude was consistently excellent, always ready to cater to my needs.

Overall, this five-star hotel, with its outstanding service, comfortable environment, and comprehensive facilities, made my trip truly enjoyable and relaxing. Whether for a business trip or a leisure vacation, I would highly recommend this hotel, and I look forward to staying here again in the future!
