Deja Vu Hotel Reviews

This hotel surprised me, as initially I thought it is a small hotel room in Taipei. When I entered I saw there’s a toilet at left side. I thought it was small, then I look at the bed. Good thing is there is a comfortable sofa, and bed is nice. Omg the TV is huge, 90 inch. And able to connect to mobile device. It is European style, have marble stone everywhere. Then it shocks me when I walk deeper, there’s a bathtub, then another toilet sink, and a shower area. It is huge! Water pressure on the bath tub is great, no need to wait so long to make it full. And water temperature is nice. It even have suana at the shower area but I didn’t try. Shops nearby have Poya, SOGO and many malls. Walking out from MRT gate 1, and just few steps away. The only cons is Family Mart, 7-11 is quite far. But that’s bearable.

The location is absolutely central and convenient. The staff are also friendly and helpful. Snacks and drinks complimentary at reception. For the price I paid (6xx HKD) it seems alright. But the facilities in room and inside the hotel were rundown and not well maintained. As photos show place is old and hygiene not well maintained the hotel. The bed is clean and alright but walls are thin and noises are loud. Vacuuming started at 8AM on Sunday and was very audible. Overall a acceptable one-time stay but I can't recommend it either.

Facilities are a little on the old side but not a bad place to stay for the location convenience

The room is very nice I like it and the service it also good. Perfect location and I had a good breakfast there as a light breakfast.

A very comfortable and convenient hotel. The staff is very friendly. I think it's a gem among hotels. It has a great atmosphere, a large lobby, and space to chat with people. We felt like we were back 50 years ago, but in a positive way. The breakfast was very good, and the short walk to a nearby restaurant wasn't a problem. I recommend it. If I'm ever in Taipei again, I'll definitely be back.

Don't expect too much the room with 'window' as it's blocked by a building that you basically can't tell the weather or day and night outside the room. The shower is very weird and installed low as your knee. Found lots of hair in the bathroom which belonged to the previous vistors

Good location, around with shopping malls

The hotel is old but not well maintained. There is a bad humidity problem. The room had a lot of mold. The room was very dirty with a layer of dust everywhere, so the cleaning has been neglected. The lobby was nice, however due to the mold I wouldn't stay here again. The price was good, but I stayed in other hotels in Taipei of similar price that were clean and healthy. I don't mind old or worn facilities, but you have to do basic cleaning! I also found hair in the bedding, like the linens weren't changed after the last guest. Read the other reviews, you can see other guests had the same experience. I am not sure how their overall rating is so high, despite so many poor reviews...

Hôtel is too old and not well maintained at all, most of the area I found dust, hair etc…. Suspect where those positive comments were coming from. Photos in trip.com doesn’t reflect the real situation at all. However I found more valid comments are in Google. Felt being cheated. Hotel is too old but i found they are more willing to invest on public areas but not the rooms. The whole building full of mold smell, you feel it once you entered the building so this is why they air-con maintained in high fan and coldest temperature. The room was filled with of mold smell even with the air purifier in room and air-conditioning set to 10 degree with high fan. I requested for room change but was told all rooms smelled the same which I believed so. I end up wearing mask while sleeping like I’m staying in a hospital… insane. I googled the hotel after my stay I found a Chinese comments in the picture which completely speaks my mind

We booked this hotel to get some rest and shower before our red eye flight. The room is acceptable for our use and very convenient for getting around as it's only 5 minutes away from the train station. The staff are very friendly and helpful too! However, this is a old establishment and there is wallpaper peeling / mold / dusty air filters and I probably would not stay overnight.

Fantastic stay at this hotel with prime location and easily accessible transportation. Hotel staff are friendly and room size is good.
