"Our stay at Shangri-La Rasa Ria, Sabah, was simply beyond imagination—truly a five-star experience among five-star hotels! 🏝️ Environment and Location: The hotel boasts a private beach, offering a serene and secluded environment that perfectly blends with nature. From the moment we stepped into the lobby, we were greeted by breathtaking sea views and meticulously maintained tropical gardens, instantly putting us in vacation mode. Although it's a bit far from the city center, this distance is precisely what provides such rare peace and purity. 🛏️ Room and Facilities: We stayed in a sea-view room, which was incredibly spacious and clean, decorated in a classic Southeast Asian style that felt understated yet luxurious. The balcony offered a superb view; waking up to stunning sunrises from bed every morning and falling asleep to the sound of waves at night was truly therapeutic. The bathroom was also large, with excellent dry-wet separation. 🌟 Service and Experience: The service here is the biggest highlight! From the doormen to the front desk, from the restaurants to housekeeping, every staff member was smiling, warm, and friendly. Many of them spoke Chinese, making communication completely seamless. They always anticipated our needs, making us feel right at home. I must especially mention the hotel's “Nature Interpretation Centre,” which is perfect for families with children! We had close encounters with baby rhinos and orangutans, an unforgettable ecological experience. Additionally, the hotel's pools are fantastic, especially the multi-tiered infinity pool—it's absolutely perfect for photos! 🍽️ Dining: The breakfast buffet offered a wide variety of options, including Chinese, Western, and local specialties, all of which were delicious. We also had dinner at the hotel's beachfront restaurant, enjoying a fresh seafood feast accompanied by beautiful sunset views. The ambiance was incredibly romantic and truly elevated the experience. Summary: If you're looking for a luxurious getaway that's far from the hustle and bustle, allowing for complete relaxation, Shangri-La Rasa Ria is definitely your top choice. Whether it's for a honeymoon, a family trip, or a gathering with friends, it will meet all your expectations. We're already planning our next trip—100% recommended!"

"Serene place. Nearby beach, pretty sunset. There are still construction going on. Room is great, spacious, comfy bed, hot shower. The only downer is, very bad phone reception and zero wifi. Shame they have nice huge smart tv but cannot use. Service wise, very bad. There's an obvious double standard on local vs foreigner. Local are left to figure out where their room is - it's a sizeable resort, u will get exhausted if u have a lot of luggage, no map given too. When asked for direction, the receptionist just said ”belakang sana”, while white tourist get escorted to their front door.. And since phone connection is bad, u have to walk all the way to reception to ask for help..wifi not working, fridge not working, fan at verandah not working...pretty bad experince we're glad it's only a night stay."

"The paint on the wall has come off, causing trash on the floor and the toilet walls are not clean. No tv broadcast. There is no battery in the TV remote."

"Location is good as have mini markets just within walking distance, and Thai Restaurant just next to this guesthouse. However service is too lagging. Body shower was too diluted with water, no shampoo provided. No hook to hang clothes or towel inside toilet. 3in1 coffee packets were provided, but electric jug boiler has to request only provided. Towel and toilet paper also has to request only then be provided. Luckily upon request, items are provided. Switches for Aircon and hot water indication mixed up. 🤣 at last I informed the staff to correct their misleading indication. I just hope the staff can create a more welcoming and enthusiastic environment. We didn’t opt for breakfast, hence no comment on foods."
