Hotels in Val-de-Marne

"We had already spent 1 week in Nice and I was looking for cheap and convenient accommodation near Paris for 6 nights. Came across this property on Trip.com and decided to take a chance on it. I’ll start with the positive points: 1. The lobby was very modern and the staff were friendly and helpful. 2. There is good security with access codes and double doors, so not everyone could just enter the hotel. 3. Inthe main lobby, there’s a a wall display full of useful things you could borrow eg Nespresso Machines, Hand Mixer etc and even a kick scooter & skateboard. 4. They also had hot Tea, coffee and a Still & Sparkling water dispenser you could refill for free. 5. The lobby also carried loaves of bread, jams, various snacks and soft drinks you could purchase. 6. Our “studio” was more like a 1 bedroom as the was a wall between the bedroom and the kitchen. It had a small table, 2 chairs and a surprisingly well-equipped tiny kitchen with a microwave, above-averagely large mini-fridge and all kinds of utensils, flatware & dinnerware you could need. 7. Adagio Quai-Ivry is located approximately 400M from the Ivry-Sur-Seine station on the RER B line. The train was never crowded whenever we took it, so that was very nice. 8. The hotel is about 20-25mins by train from Notre-Dame, Musee d’Orsay (places we wanted to see). For Montmarte, Eiffel Tower etc, you’ll need to transfer from RER to a metro line and walk. Average travel time was 40mins. We found it easy to buy cardboard tickets from the Ivry-Sur-Seine RER station every day, so we didn’t bother using the Navigo or RAPT App. 9. Pro tip: The BEAR Cafe right across Adagio has really delicious burgers and alcoholic drinks were extremely affordable, so don’t hesitate to eat there if you’re too lazy to venture too far. 10. There’s also a small grocery store close to the RER station for small things, so that was really convenient to grab stuff on our way back to the hotel. Now for the negatives: My 1st complaint was when we checked in on April 24, there was a strong bad stench (like poop / sewage) wafting through the 5th floor corridor. Housekeeping must have tried very hard to clean it up for many hours coz it only finally dissipated in the evening of April 25. I wasn’t sure if one of the rooms had a toilet choke but it was super 🤮🤮🤮. 2nd complaint: the bathroom layout was very poor. The designer of the rooms didn’t care about ergonomics. The toilet was very near the left wall that also had the heated towel rack. For someone who’s only 5’2”, my knees barely had 2 inch clearance to the wall in front. Anyone who’s very tall would find this very uncomfortable. Also, the toilet roll was positioned way back on the left wall, and if you are not a circus contortionist, you would have a hard time reaching it. After using the toilet once, I gave up trying to reach for the toilet paper. Instead, I removed the toilet roll from the holder and just put it on the flipped-down cover of the heated towel rack controls for easier access. 3rd complaint: The holder for the handheld shower was loose plus the water pressure was very weak, so the shower head kept flopping down towards the taps and it was impossible to shower like that. I managed to prop it up with a rolled-up small towel and just tried to clean myself as best as I know could. Overall, it was value for money as we are very relaxed travelers and were able to tolerate the inconveniences as we saw it. It’s definitely not a location for fussy travelers who have very high expectations."

"The hotel is modern in decoration, the room is very large, the bed is fixed, and the bed is a large bed with two single beds. With a small induction cooker and sink, the bathroom space is also large. The hotel is 3 minutes walk through a parking lot with a fast track RER, 20 minutes direct to Galeries Lafayette, and to the Arc de Triomphe and Disney."

"Excellent location. Close to two subway stations, one train stop and several bus stops. Cafes, restaurants, and a laundromat were within walking distance. This hotel had several communal areas for guests to relax. They provided games and kitchen supplies to assist with your stay. The rooms and common areas were very clean. Most staff was very friendly. No meals were served on site but delivery was available."

"The room is very big compared to other hotels. It is very convenient to have a kitchen. The area is safe. It is within walking distance of the subway. I will consider staying here next time I come to Paris."

"Everything was great, except for one situation. When we checked in, we asked if it would be possible to take breakfast with us to the airport since we had an early flight. The receptionist confirmed that we could. However, in the morning when we asked for boxes to pack our breakfast, there was a different woman at the reception who strictly refused and insisted that we have breakfast at the hotel. At the same time, we saw another guest packing her breakfast to go. My husband asked why it was allowed for her but not for us, but we never received an answer. We still don’t understand why we were treated this way."

"All Suites Hotel is a treasure gem very little known to foreign tourists. Great advantage of this hotel: 1. It is located 5mins from RER station Choisy le Roi just south of the River Seine. 2. RER C LINE runs along major hub stations like St Michel Notre Dame, Champ de Mars (Eiffel Tower) and all the way to Versailles Palace. 3. This Apart-hotel is very quiet, offer reasonable size rooms with cooking facilities, a sauna and a small gym. 4. Prices are most reasonable based on Paris rates with breakfast provided. 5. Highly recommended as it is just 15mins away from major hub station St Michel Notre Dame. 6. It is only 20mins away from Orly Airport."

"I have stayed here many times. The room is very clean, the kitchenette is very practical, and the transportation is quite convenient. The gym has been under repair for a long time and should be open now. The only thing I don't understand is the water purifier, which is just for display and can't be used in every room."

"After the 7th and 8th floor we had a room at the 6th floor this time. The view remains wonderful when the room gives on the Marne. We always recommend this hotel for a quiet moment and in a beautiful establishment with very pleasant staff."

"Very perfect business hotel, clean, although the room is small, but the facilities are good, the table wardrobe kettle, coffee and tea bags. The bed was very comfortable, the bath water was very comfortable, and the reception staff was very warm. The hotel is just a small park, within a 5-minute walk from the supermarket bakery. The price is good, satisfied, recommended."

"A lovely hotel with beautiful clean rooms. It is a nice quiet area of Paris, although just on the outskirts of the main part of the city it is a very quick and easy ride into Paris. Also a good location if you want to go to Disneyland as it is just one direct train. There is the metro and RER both a short walk away. The hotel does have a lift but be mindful there will still be a few stairs you need to walk up. The hosts were lovely and helpful. There are supermarkets and lots of restaurants close by. Would definitely recommend staying here."
