Mercure Xi'an Downtown Reviews

Hotel located at the best strategic location. Walking distance to Bell Tower, tourist and non touristy eating place. We supposed to leave after 2 nights but we decided to stay for 6 nights for our entire holiday in Xi'An. Room is spacious, quiet, and warm. Warm as outside temperature is 12C, but we didn't feel the cold in our room. Staffs are friendly, there are staff that will assist in any tour package, include transportation to airport. Another lovely feature is the quarter with biscuits, tea whole day, and a porridge for night.

I've previously stayed at Mercure hotels in other cities and always had excellent experiences, so when we found one near the Bell Tower in Xi'an, we didn't hesitate to book it. We were traveling with our child for a competition, so we initially stayed for 2 nights, then returned for another 3 nights after the competition. The hotel's service is truly exceptional and thoughtful; they even provide complimentary bottled water at every elevator landing, which is incredibly convenient for grabbing a bottle or two before heading out. We also received complimentary breakfast due to a longer-than-expected wait during check-in. The breakfast was very substantial, served until 10 AM on weekdays and extended to 11 AM on weekends. There's a gym and a laundry room on the first floor, and this Xi'an location even offers Hanfu experience bookings, which is unique! The complimentary airport pickup service is another fantastic perk! We booked a spacious room, over 40 square meters, and our entire stay here was incredibly comfortable. Finally, just a minor suggestion: it would be great if the shower area had an extra shelf, as it was a bit inconvenient to place toiletries while showering. Overall, it was truly a wonderful stay!

The hotel service was excellent. They were incredibly helpful; when they saw my child with clothes to be laundered, they even offered thoughtful assistance. The small garden at the hotel entrance is very pleasant; it's truly therapeutic to wake up early and spend some time sitting there. Every single staff member had an excellent attitude. The breakfast was also very good. There's a square right next to the hotel filled with pigeons, and the kids absolutely loved feeding them. We had a very comfortable stay.

Hotel common area, restaurant and room are clean.Hotel is located at walkable distance from iconic Bell and Drum towers.Liked the spacious clean bathroom. Lot of eateries around.I love water bottles kept at the lift entrance to take what is needed.Lobby area tea,juice and light snacks are always available which is nice.Super friendly staff.Breakfast is very good and value for money.Overall I was happy with the experience.

Everything was perfect! The room was spotless, the staff were very kind and helpful, and the location was excellent—close to many attractions and restaurants. The facilities were modern and comfortable. Highly recommended!

Overall, a good hotel! Excellent rooms, plenty of space, and fairly quiet. There was a slight sewer smell in the bathroom, which wasn't very pleasant. Breakfasts are modest, which is definitely an area for the hotel to grow. It's hard to find a table for breakfast at 8 a.m. The hotel's location is 5 stars!

Love the fresh n wonderful breakfast and wi defy thoughts of endless drinks n tot bits supplied by the hotel at the reception. Credit goes to one of the conceive staff, Wei Ling who went out if her way to make sure our experience at the hotel is wonderful. The cleaners were also excellent and honest! Love this hotel n will definite come back again. One thing us getting the address n name of the hotel in goggle maps is a challenge as probably still new!

The hotel itself is beautiful and stylish, same as the rooms. Also, the rooms are super clean. Staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was decent. The location of the hotel is around a 10 minutes walk from the bell and a 2 minutes walk from the metro station. Usually the rooms are very quiet and comfortable, BUT there is a very loud melody and long playing from 6am, every full hour until 10pm. Every day I just slept 5-6 hours because I woke up 6am due to the noise, then woke up again 7am. I know its not the hotels fault for this melody to exist or be played, but its very difficult to deal with, especially when you have a light sleep.

*NO AIR CONDITIONER* Okay it says ventilation on the app, however this is the Mercure. What do you mean no AC? The staff were helpful telling me to just “open a window”. And showed me different rooms to try find a cooler room. However one smelled of smoke and the other was facing the same way and on the same floor. Honestly it’s not the staffs fault it’s the companies. I cannot imagine staying here in the summer. I had one of the worse sleeps the second night. The hotel is nice, breakfast was fine but not being able to control the air is stupid. I’ll be fine even if they had fans to rent.

The facilities are very nice and service is good. Location is good also but is around 10/15 minutes walking to the nearest metro station. Around 40 minutes to the railway station Xianbei and about 1:30 to the airport by metro. The only thing that I have to point out is that breakfast is a bit noisy and crowded. Cleaning ladies do a lot of noise taking out the dishes and if do not watch out for your things once you realise there is already someone else on your table and your food is gone 😂

It was very conveniently located near the subway station and downtown Xi'an. The counter staff were very friendly and helpful, which was really nice. The washing machine was also well-equipped, which was very convenient.
