Staying here when catching a flight is such a lifesaver! I stayed at this hotel last time I was in Kunming too. It's right by the airport and they offer free shuttle service, so no need to hassle with taxis or finding your way – super convenient.
The room was spotlessly clean, no weird smells or dust anywhere, which was a real pleasure to see. The bed was incredibly comfortable, just the right balance of soft and firm, making it easy to relax and get a good night's sleep, no matter how tired I was from traveling.
Whether you have an early morning flight or arrive late, this place is perfect. It's hassle-free, comfortable, and offers great value for money for travelers. Highly recommend!

The hotel room was spotless and very quiet at night, which is a huge plus for anyone who values good sleep – highly recommend it! The front desk staff was lovely; the lady at reception paid close attention to the notes I left on Trip.com and even gave me an eye mask. The location is super convenient for transport on weekends, and dining is a breeze with all sorts of malls downstairs and the old street right next door. Breakfast was also fantastic with a great variety of choices. I'll definitely pick this hotel again next time I'm in Kunming.

I had an amazing stay here which was my favourite after travelling to China for a month.
Well located in a quieter and more peaceful section of the ancient town. The design of the hotel itself was stunning!
Despite the traditional design, the hotel contained completely modern amenities like smart toilets, bed heaters, AC and fast wifi.
The highlight though is the exceptional service from the attentive staff and the lovely hotel owner. They are helpful with recommendations, provide pickup service so you don’t have to carry your luggage through the ancient town and overall provides a very homely and comforting atmosphere. I was even invited to dinner and shared fruits, tea and snacks with me!
If that isn’t enough to convince you, they also have four super cute cats!
Would definitely recommend staying here if you’re coming to Lijiang.

For the price, it was okay, but my local friends said 200 isn't particularly cheap. The room had a very strong artificial fragrance, making me wonder if it was to mask other odors. The soundproofing was absolutely terrible!!!! You could hear footsteps in the hallway, the fan next door, and things dropping upstairs – all sorts of noises that made it impossible to get a good night's sleep. I seriously considered switching rooms the next day.
Hygiene: Generally alright, many items were disposable.
Environment: It's right above an old street, so it was very noisy at night, though it quieted down a lot after 9 PM.
Service: When I woke up and wanted to send a package, there was no one at the front desk.
This hotel is located in the Duoyishu Scenic Area of Yuanyang. We chose a room on the 4th floor with a terrace, and the view absolutely blew away all other rooms. We had a vast expanse of terraced fields right in front of us, perfect for photos at any time, especially stunningly beautiful at sunrise – no need to jostle with crowds at the Duoyishu observation deck. The room facilities were pretty complete, including a huge soaking tub, though it felt largely unnecessary. The hotel service was also excellent; they contacted us in advance about our arrival and parking. Since the hotel is situated on a hillside, it's not accessible by private car, but the hotel provides a minivan for pick-up and drop-off at any time. There's no elevator, but the hotel staff were very helpful with luggage up and down the stairs. The hotel offers breakfast sets and also has an à la carte menu. I highly recommend this place for guests who want to enjoy beautiful scenery without having to get up too early or rush to crowded scenic spots. All the photos and videos below were taken from the hotel room.

Highly recommend Housekeeper 01! First off, her service attitude is exceptional – you can tell she's as kind as she is beautiful. The room was spotless, not a hint of any unpleasant odors! Even my wife, who's a serious clean freak, gave it her seal of approval! Excellent! Secondly, the housekeeper herself is wonderful – straightforward and upfront about everything, always explaining things clearly in advance. She's also incredibly pretty! Patient, meticulous, and everything was arranged perfectly. Lastly, this trip was fantastic, the scenery was amazing, and the weather was great – everything was just perfect! Looking forward to seeing her again next time!
🌟 Full score! The treasure homestay that must live in Jingmaishan, close your eyes and not lose
This trip to Jingmaishan Ancient Tea Forest, the most fortunate is to choose the old naughty child homestay, completely exceeded expectations, lived comfortably and comfortably, properly Jingmaishan accommodation ceiling!
The location is absolutely perfect. The homestay is located in the core village of Jingmai Mountain. It is quiet in the middle of noisy. You can feel the original ancient village style when you go out. You can reach the observation deck within a short walk. You don’t have to get up early in the morning to hurry. You can see the beautiful sea of clouds and sunrise easily. In the evening, you can enjoy the romantic sunset in the small courtyard of the hotel. The view is super wide. The eyes are full of green mountains and green trees and ancient tea trees. The atmosphere is directly full.
The environment and sanitation are impeccable. The overall decoration style of the homestay integrates local ethnic characteristics. The wooden structure is warm and textured, retaining the charm of the original ecological village, and the facilities are very new and complete. The room was clean and tidy, the bedding was soft and comfortable, the bathroom was clean and odorless, the toiletries were complete, and the details were taken care of in place. There was no damp and messy problem in the mountain homestay at all, and it was particularly safe to live.
The boss family is super warm and warm, worthy of being an ”old urchin”, with a hearty and easy-going personality, and caring like family throughout the whole process. As soon as I arrived at the homestay, I helped carry my luggage, took the initiative to explain to us the play guide of Jingmai Mountain, recommended authentic niche attractions and local food, avoiding pits and worry-free; In our leisure time, we will also invite us to drink our own ancient tree tea, the customs of Jingmai Mountain, the feeling of being at home is too poke people, there is no strangeness at all.
The surrounding travel is super convenient, and the boss will also help plan the play route intimately. It is very convenient whether it is self-driving or walking, and it completely solves the troubles of traveling in the mountains. The atmosphere of the homestay is also very relaxed, there is no commercial impetuousness, stay in the small courtyard to drink tea and blow the hair, feel the slow life in the mountains, all the fatigue of the journey is swept away.
The overall experience is full, the price is super high, whether it is a couple outing, family trip or a relaxing alone is super suitable. Next time I come to Jingmai Mountain, I will also look for the old Badger B&B. I highly recommend it to all friends who want to come to Jingmai Mountain. This one will really not disappoint you!
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Five-star recommendation, close your eyes and stay without stepping on thunder!
Facilities: Excellent. It has everything you need: an automatic toilet, hairdryer, and kettle. The bathroom is also separated into wet and dry areas, which is very convenient.
Cleanliness: Very clean. The cleaning staff comes every day and has a great attitude.
Environment: The surroundings are very quiet, not noisy at all, and the transportation is very convenient. It's right by the road, so you don't have to drag your luggage around.
Service: The front desk staff has a great attitude and proactively helped carry my luggage upstairs.

The owner was incredibly welcoming and kind. They even picked us up from the bus station and took us to the guesthouse. Our room was spotless and fresh, with no unpleasant smells. The first floor of the guesthouse is absolutely beautiful! 😍 And the rooftop patio is amazing – you can relax on the swing, gaze at Cangshan Mountain in the distance, and admire the old town. It's incredibly peaceful and relaxing! I highly recommend booking here! It's super close to the South Gate of the old town, which is perfect for an evening stroll and experiencing the night market. Overall, a fantastic experience!

Good
Rraymond200909On the positive side, the hotel has quite a few recreational facilities, and the room amenities are decent and relatively new.
On the negative side, the biggest problem is the excessive dampness in the room. It was uncomfortable to sleep in, and although the hotel changed the bedding, it didn't help much. This might be due to the humid air during the rainy season in Xishuangbanna, but two things puzzled me: 1) The front desk said no one else had reported this issue before. 2) I stayed at three hotels during this trip, and Zhucheng was the third. The other two were right next to Zhucheng, and their rooms didn't feel noticeably damp.
Also, the hotel room didn't pay enough attention to some details. The sofa arrangement prevented the curtains from closing completely automatically; I had to manually close them. The refrigerator was also quite noisy, which affected my sleep.

Rrob&leangHands down the best hotel we stayed at during our Yunnan trip.
We had such a wonderful stay and were genuinely impressed by how helpful and friendly the hotel management/owners were. Nothing we asked for was ever too much trouble & they went above and beyond to make our stay special.
We were a group of 12 travelling from Australia and they made all of us feel incredibly welcome and well looked after throughout our stay.
On our first night, we wanted to explore the ancient town and the owner kindly jumped on his motorbike to personally show us the way & even gave our 6 year old a ride! We weren't expecting that level of hospitality & that really stood out and made a lasting impression.
We also had a lovely afternoon tea experience at the hotel, where the owner took the time to introduce us to a variety of teas and nougat to try. It was a great experience.
The hotel rooms were excellent, clean, comfortable and well equipped with everything needed for a relaxing and pleasant stay. We stayed in Room 101, which faces the street and were pleasantly surprised that there were no issues with noise or passing traffic.
The location is also fantastic with the Ancient Town just a short walk away, making it incredibly convenient for exploring.
We would absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a welcoming and comfortable place to stay & would definitely come back 😃
MM21810****Choosing the Adaman Hotel by Mingyoo Li Cheng was absolutely the best decision I made for this Xishuangbanna trip. From the moment I stepped in, I was captivated by the corridors enveloped in tropical greenery, exuding an exotic vibe. Every snapshot I took turned into a stunning, atmospheric photo. The room was spacious and cozy, with smart controls throughout, making everything super convenient. The bedding was incredibly soft and skin-friendly, ensuring a wonderfully restful sleep every night.
The location is also fantastic – close to the airport, which makes getting around a breeze. Whether you want to escape the crowds for some peaceful time or explore Xishuangbanna's beautiful sights, this place is perfectly suited. I'll definitely be staying here again on my next visit to Xishuangbanna!

AAmiraShafiraI love this hotel so much. The hotel view is very great and the staff is very helping and friendly. Definitely will repeat. For the toilet very muslim friendly cause it has a bidet near the watercloset. It also serves free tea and orange. Very recommended.
WWanhe ZhangThis Banyan Tree property boasts an excellent environment, with architecture and decor that distinctly showcase Naxi ethnic characteristics. On clear days, you can even catch a glimpse of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain right from the hotel entrance.
I booked a Jacuzzi King Bed Villa. From the carpets to the wooden furniture, everything felt well-used but meticulously maintained. The bathroom fixtures were Toto and Hansgrohe, featuring smart toilet seats. The hot and cold water for the sink could be adjusted independently. The toiletries were Banyan Tree's own brand, and they were quite pleasant to use. The outdoor soaking tub is cleaned and refilled for each guest, with 24-hour heating, and you can choose whether or not to activate the hydro-massage function. Almost all the indoor and outdoor lighting was warm-toned, and the design of the spotlights and light strips was very well thought out, creating a lovely ambiance in the evening.
The service was outstanding. From check-in to check-out, every staff member I encountered was incredibly polite, greeting guests with genuine warmth and sincerity! A dedicated front desk butler even called me the day before check-in and added me on WeChat to coordinate details. Any requests could be handled directly via WeChat, and the efficiency was truly impressive – a real standout! Amenities and fresh fruit were replenished and changed daily, and the daily cleaning was exceptionally thorough. The turn-down service was excellent. During my three-day stay, I received a complimentary Banyan Tree little turtle and a traditional ornament.
The buffet breakfast offered a good variety of dishes, and everything was very fresh – no complaints there. The food at the White Cloud Chinese Restaurant was excellent, with a very traditional flavor. The ingredients, cooking, service, and ambiance were all great, though the prices were a little on the higher side, but the portions were generous. I recommend the Stir-fried Water Hyacinth, Sautéed ******* Pork with Herbs, Stewed Spare Ribs with Mixed Vegetables, and the Shangri-La Yak Hot Pot.
The spa was fantastic! The Banyan Tree Gallery here is also worth a visit, featuring many works created in collaboration with local artisans, as well as some pieces from the Baisha Embroidery Art Institute available for sale.
Most of the hotel staff are locals from Lijiang, and the entire hotel does an excellent job of incorporating local culture. I look forward to returning to Banyan Tree Lijiang for another vacation when I have the chance.
Many thanks to all the hotel staff for their incredibly warm service!
GGuest UserThe B&B is absolutely beautiful, I really love the decor style – it feels so cozy and inviting! The host even upgraded our room for free to a third-floor room with a balcony. Sitting on the balcony in the evening, enjoying the breeze and a glass of wine, truly made our trip incredibly comfortable and relaxing. And Sanjin (the dog) is so cute too! She had just had a bath the day we arrived and was very cuddly.

GGuest UserSeriously, Chinese people don't lie to Chinese people – this place is a must-book! The hygiene was impeccable; the sheets and duvet smelled so fresh and clean, which made our stay incredibly reassuring. The environment was absolutely stunning; our balcony opened right onto the grassland. We literally ran out in our pajamas in the morning to take photos, and every shot looked like a wallpaper. The service truly understood what women want – they offered free ******* clothing to wear and even took us to cuddle little lambs. The staff who helped us with our room was super friendly, and all the managers were so handsome! The facilities were top-notch too. With the floor heating on, you could walk barefoot without getting cold, and the diffused oxygen system was completely silent, so we slept like babies. For all these reasons, I'll definitely be back!
GGuest UserWe booked a family room, which was very spacious and comfortable for three people. The hotel service was excellent, and we extended our stay immediately. The receptionist was very welcoming and recommended good food and fun activities. They quickly resolved any issues, prioritizing customer satisfaction. 👍 The hotel is located behind the Peacock Tower, and there are many restaurants nearby. However, being in a tourist area, prices are not cheap, and the roads inside Gaozhuang are very congested; it's difficult to get a taxi in at night. The hotel is within walking distance of the Starlight Night Market, which is worth a visit.

OOlive GohWhen I started planning our itinerary for our 15 day Yunnan holiday, I plotted out our path to go all the way up to Shangri-la, back down to Kunming and then to Jiaozi Snow Mountain and Dongchuan Red Land. Then I chanced upon a video of Aini Garden and fell in love! The only reason we came to Pu'er was to get to Aini. This was the first place I booked, and I really took a chance because it has a no cancellation policy and I really had to stick to the date once it was made.
The initial pre-arrival experience was less than pleasant. I didn't know how we were going to get to the manor and my WeChat messages went unanswered. The hotel we stayed at in Pu'er finally got in touch with someone and got them to message me. I asked how we could get there and the answer was a curt ”take a taxi or charter a car”. No pleasantries of ”we look forward to seeing you” or offering to arrange a car.
When we arrived, no one was at reception and no one came out. Our driver was so perplexed he wondered if we were in the right place and if the place was open. Finally a young girl came out and registered us in. There was an air of aloofness from everyone else. However, once we were checked in, things warmed up quickly. We were offered coffee and freshly cut papaya and had a nice introduction chat with the lady staff.
The bedroom and bathroom is well appointed, spacious and comfortable. We would have enjoyed sitting on the balcony if the chairs were more comfortable. I love the floor to ceiling glass windows but the panel above the door should also be glass (it is just netting) so traffic sounds from the road actually comes through at night. I actually wanted to book the cottage in the hills but opted for the standard room in the main house because I was worried it would be cold. Big regret as it is actually magnificently located with stunning views. However take note that you will need to call for a buggy ride or make a 1km hike every time you want to eat or get to the main house. If you are self driving, no issues as you can park right next to the cottage. Anyway it's a small price to pay for an unlimited view of the milky way and seclusion.
This is as close to a Ryokan experience as you can get in China, minus the hot springs. 3 days 2 nights of blissful, carefree living is not quite enough. They make sure they feed you well, with the freshest produce available for hotpot dinner and home-cooked Yunnanese dishes for lunch. There are so many activities organised, from taking you up the mountain for a glimpse of sunrise (with mountain goats for company ❤️) to coffee plantation education tour to horseback riding along the mountain ridges (the view is spectacular!) to scavenging for wild vegetables and fruits to drinking, dancing and singing around the campfire! So much to do, so little time!
One area of improvement I personally would like to see is the coffee serving. They tend to be quite snobbish about how their coffee is taken. Neat, with nothing else. Asking for sugar or milk feels nearly scorned upon. Coffee is a versatile drink and can be savoured in a huge variety of ways. How else is Starbucks so successful? I felt kind of stifled and deprived because I love a good latte and had looked forward to enjoying an unlimited indulgence of coffee throughout our stay.
Anyhow, I love the ecotourism efforts here. It feels natural and unpretentious. I love the people and the camaraderie they cultivate. I especially enjoyed talking to their consultant 敬梅, a beautiful lady with extensive knowledge in Yunnan culture and ecological progress. Also thank you to 徐芳 for arranging transport back to town and giving helpful recommendations. We hope to return again.
JjukachaThis time in this hotel we got the room on the first floor and this room was quite awful. Toilet is stinky and has problems with flushing, the window outside passing all the sounds from the street and it's annoying. Other rooms aren't so bad, but on the first floor better never choose.
