I really enjoyed my week and a half stay at Mulanyu Tangsu Hotel . The rooms are very clean and nicely arranged. The hotel is located on the top of a hill , very near the old city of Lijiang without being right in the center . My room had a fantastic view. The person in charge of the hotel is the kindest person and did absolutely everything to meet my requirements and needs . They welcome you with delicious tea and fruit , are very easily available to help you with your luggage , suggesting excursions in the neighbourhood or just for tea and a chat . I m very satisfied and I will surely come here again or recommend it.

A hostel with a great location and a cool vibe. The facilities are quite complete, and the staff are all very helpful. The guy at the bar is both cool and friendly. You can tell the owner is someone who loves to have fun and has a lot of heart. If I come to Kunming alone again, I'll definitely stay here.

The hotel is at the sixth floor of a building inside a compound. The check-in process was very smooth. The location is a bit far away from the main attractions but is close to the train station, and the view from the room is amazing. It is a pity that our stay was so short, but for us it is was a pleasure to have our breakfast delivered to our building with ******* and enjoy it in our room with the nice view. The service was very nice connecting us with a driver for the day, and offering tips around the area. We enjoyed our stay at this hotel.

The room was clean and tidy, with complete amenities and a well-thought-out layout that was convenient to use. The self-service laundry was a lifesaver for guests. The hotel staff were attentive and had excellent attitudes, making guests feel right at home. The hotel's surroundings boasted incredibly convenient transportation and perfect commercial facilities. There were also many attractions nearby, such as Cuihu Park and Kunming Old Street, allowing us to experience the convenience of living and traveling.

This is definitely the perfect choice for a family trip with seniors and kids! It's in a great location in Nanping Street, within walking distance to attractions, so elders and children won't be too tired. The rooms are spacious, and the bathrooms have grab bars, which makes it reassuring for older guests. The self-service laundry room has a dryer and even a garment steamer, so no worries about washing clothes. The breakfast offers both Chinese and Western options, catering to everyone's tastes, and the staff even help older guests carry their plates. The service is thoughtful and truly excellent.

Very nice hotel in a central location, close to the North gate. We stayed here the two nights before our trekking in the Tiger Leaping Gorge and the two nights after coming back from the trekking. For our second stay we received a free upgrade of the room. This time we had a balcony and a bathtub. The room was a bit more at the front of the hotel so also a bit noisier during the evening and night. And light was coming in through the bathroom window. But it did not bother us and we slept very well as the beds are very comfortable. The breakfast is terrific. We would definitely come back here for our next stay. Highly recommended!

The hotel's actual environment is even better than the photos provided, and personally, I think it's even superior to Banyan Tree, yet it costs less than half the price. If you're coming to Lijiang, it's really worth trying out. The breakfast offers a wide selection, and the buffet presentation is up to par with what you'd expect from a five-star hotel. The pastries were just okay, and the rice noodles (er si) were a bit bland, but everything else was pretty good. It would be great if there were more golf cart drivers available for rides back to the rooms. We often had to walk back ourselves, and there's a bit of a distance from the hotel entrance to the guest rooms. Luckily, the hotel grounds are beautiful, so the walk wasn't unpleasant. The small petting zoo at the hotel is a nice touch, though the pigs were a bit smelly. But their cuteness makes you forget everything else!

The Kaleidoscope room is truly amazing! You can capture the chimney night view right from the balcony, and the most stunning surprise was on the day we left – I opened the curtains and saw the sunrise, it was absolutely beautiful. The hotel staff's service attitude was also excellent. I accidentally scraped another car while parking, and they quickly helped resolve it. They even gave us two complimentary breakfasts afterward. I'm truly grateful; this hotel is genuinely fantastic. The shuttle bus takes you directly to the scenic area for photos, but the Dongfengyun Scenic Area is only really suitable for taking pictures; we finished exploring in half an hour. By 3 PM, we were so bored we just watched TV at the hotel. If I hadn't booked the hotel in advance, I would have just gone back to Kunming that evening.

Facilities: The hotel's facilities are superb! The bedding in the room is comfortable, the toiletries are complete and of great quality, and basic amenities like air conditioning and hot water run smoothly. The smart room control system is also very convenient to use. In the public areas, the fitness and lounge areas are well-equipped with brand new and well-maintained equipment, and the public area hygiene is also exceptionally good. Service: This stay was fantastic, and I must highlight Minnie and George Chai at the front desk for their exceptionally professional and attentive service. Check-in and check-out were super efficient, they were smiling throughout, and patiently explained the hotel facilities and provided tips for local attractions and dining. Their thoughtfulness was evident in every detail. Any questions we had were answered instantly, and their attitude was gentle and considerate, adding so much warmth to our trip. Their excellent service truly made our entire stay perfect. I highly recommend this hotel and commend Minnie and George Chai for their outstanding service!

This was one of the most exciting and memorable stays during our trip in Yunnan. I had many warm and meaningful conversations with the owner, and I can truly say that the entire staff was extremely kind, attentive, and always ready to help whenever we needed anything. Their support made our stay feel very easy and comfortable. We stayed in a lovely room furnished entirely in traditional Chinese style, which made the experience feel truly unique and authentic. The room was spacious and very comfortable, and every detail reflected the local character. One of the best things about this accommodation is its location. It is right inside the Old Town of Lijiang—quiet and peaceful, yet at the same time you really feel like you are part of the old town itself. It never felt noisy, but instead warm, lively, and full of atmosphere. The courtyard is beautifully designed in classic Lijiang style, creating a space where guests can truly relax. I stayed on the second floor, and every afternoon I could enjoy the warm sunlight while looking down into the courtyard. Those moments felt incredibly romantic and special, and they gave me a deep sense of connection to the place. A very special highlight were the two dogs, so typical of Lijiang. They are quite big, but incredibly gentle and friendly, and they truly made the place feel like home. Their presence added warmth and character to the stay and made everything feel even more welcoming. This is one of those accommodations where foreign guests can genuinely feel at home while experiencing the real spirit of Lijiang. Everything about this stay felt authentic and heartfelt. I can recommend this place to everyone with complete confidence—it was simply perfect, a true 10 out of 10.
