"This wasn't our first trip to Bintan, but it was our first time at this resort—and it won’t be our last. From the moment we arrived, the experience was truly fantastic. A huge shout-out to Bahar from housekeeping, whose thoughtful little touches made our villa feel extra special, and to Tuni at the spa, who delivered an incredible treatment. The entire team was genuinely warm and helpful throughout our stay. We absolutely loved the garden villa. Having our own private pool gave us the perfect space to unwind as a family in total seclusion. One of our biggest worries was bugs getting into the room, but we were thrilled that the outdoors stayed exactly where it belonged—outside! We slept soundly every night without a single creature in sight. The breakfast buffet was excellent, with plenty of great options to start the day. We also appreciated the small luxuries, like the Bluetooth speaker that streamed music throughout the villa and the brilliant air conditioning in the bathroom (a game-changer!). If you book a villa, be sure to arrange the private van transfer to and from the ferry terminal—it makes the journey completely seamless. A wonderful, relaxing stay. We can’t wait to come back!"

"Service was good by the staff. The studio room was nice but some wear visible. The small private pool was decent and clean. At night there are some loud music playing till late from nearby establishment. The hotel provides ear plug in the room which is likely for this reason. Still manage to get a decent sleep. The staff pushing trolley on the corridor is quite loud. Sound isolation can be improve"

"The receptionist & staff are friendly and helpful..always smile even though they have a lot of customers need to check in at same time..the staff upgraded my two rooms to deluxe room with bath tub & both are huge..hair dryer & iron are upon request but for iron, the customer can use for 1 hour.. My parents room have stagnant water in the bathroom & the wall also not so clean...my room also having coffee stained at the coffee table...maybe the housekeeping shaould take care more about this. The breakfast is good & having mutiple choices... Overall, my stay with my family at this hotel is awesome.."

"The villa’s location is a huge plus since it’s right next to Plaza Lagoi, giving you easy access to Mustafa and convenience stores whenever needed. Lagoi Bay Beach is also within walking distance, which made the stay even more convenient. The villa itself felt very private and peaceful, making it perfect for a relaxing getaway. Our 3-year-old had an amazing time in the private pool and barely wanted to leave. Breakfast was served in-room and was fairly simple, but the pancakes and American breakfast were definitely the better choices. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would absolutely come back for a quiet escape to unwind, swim, and relax by the private pool."

"Great resort with lots of facilities: families can really spend time swimming, playing the whole day within the hotel. My only complain will be for the prices. The food within the resort is really expensive. All activities are expensive, even renting the surf board is 220K IDR per hour. Which I think is very expensive. Other than the price, the staffs are friendly and everything run smoothly and well."

"We were greeted with their warmest welcome from their staff. There also provide us complementary snacks and drink for our 2 night shortaway. And the hot shower and comfortable bed is what need from a massage and shopping at grand batam which is a walking distance. We also provide hi tea voucher which we used it after we checked out. It was so good. We may come back for the third time for more.."

"Stayed at Holiday Inn Resort Bintan with my toddler and had a mix of positive and negative experiences. We booked a pool access room, which was extremely convenient with a young child. Service throughout our stay was excellent, and the team was always helpful. They also assisted with printing our ferry boarding passes and arranged the complimentary shuttle to the ferry terminal. The food at Warung Pak Lagoi was decent, and the service there was especially attentive. The restaurant also offers free koi fish feeding, which my toddler enjoyed. On our last day, the fish food had run out, but a lovely staff member went the extra mile to get us a small packet so my child could still participate. The shuttle to Plaza Lagoi runs hourly, but if you miss it, you'll have to wait for the next one, so plan accordingly. Unfortunately, there were several issues that affected our stay. The Kids Club was quite disappointing compared to the photos online, with very limited activities, missing items and play options available. There was also power trip on our first night. As our toddler was already asleep, changing rooms wasn't a practical option for us. More concerning was that the entire resort experienced two power outages on our second night. We happened to be outdoors during one of them, and the blackout was completely pitch dark. It was quite frightening as we weren't holding our toddler's hand at that exact moment and couldn't see anything around us. Overall, the staff and service were the highlights of our stay, but the repeated power outages and underwhelming Kids Club made the experience less enjoyable than expected."

"Hotel located in Nagoya hill mall. Very convenient for nearby meals / shopping. TV only got YouTube should include local channels so at least can keep updated on local news. Soundproofing of rooms needs to be enhanced. Will still recommend to stay for the convenient location."

"We recently celebrated a special getaway at Doulos Phos The Ship Hotel and it truly felt like we had rented the whole place for ourselves. The atmosphere was so peaceful, exclusive, and romantic — perfect for spending quality time with my wife. The hotel itself is incredibly unique, with so much history and character. Staying inside a beautifully restored ship made the entire experience unforgettable. Every corner had a charming nautical touch, and the ambiance throughout the property was elegant yet cozy. One of our favorite spots was the infinity pool overlooking the sea. The view during sunset was absolutely breathtaking, and the calm surroundings made it feel like a private paradise. We spent hours just relaxing by the pool, enjoying the ocean breeze and quiet atmosphere. The restaurants were also very good. The food was delicious, breakfast had plenty of variety, and the dining ambiance was warm and relaxing. Having dinner with the sea view and soft lighting created such a romantic mood for our celebration. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and always attentive, which made the experience even more comfortable. The entire property was clean, beautifully maintained, and surprisingly quiet despite being such a famous landmark. If you are looking for a romantic escape, peaceful retreat, or simply a unique experience in Bintan, I highly recommend Doulos Phos The Ship Hotel. It was a memorable celebration with my wife, and we will definitely come back again.
