"Hotel staff is friendly. However, the cleanliness if the rooms are questionable. The bathtub in room 206 is clogged, the rate of water flowing in is much faster than it drains resulting in a flooded shower. There was also stains on the towels and bedsheets."

"The room provided was spacious, but it was rather basic and felt more like a normal apartment than a hotel apartment. The air conditioning was not properly serviced and was dusty. An iron was not provided in the room, and when we requested one, we were informed that all the irons were already in use. On the positive side, the breakfast was delicious and offered a good variety of food. The swimming pool was also large and beautiful. We were offered a seafood buffet on the second night, even though the brochure clearly stated that the buffet was only available on Saturdays and Sundays. We were informed by the cafe that they had extended the buffet, so we booked in advance on the first day of our stay, immediately after checking in. We confirmed the availability of the buffet three times with the hotel to make sure that everything was in order. However, on Monday afternoon, the hotel cancelled the buffet themselves, citing a “miscommunication”. This was extremely disappointing and unprofessional. We had made the booking in advance and repeatedly confirmed it with the hotel, only to have the hotel cancel it at the last minute due to their own internal miscommunication."

"It's a refurbished hotel, previously known as Sahid. I'm not sure if they were doing enough renovating the hotel though. I was surprised the room was unlike their photos, the door was bulging as if they were made from wood ashes, the smell of cigarettes was so strong even though I requested for no smoking room. I wasn't sure why, but then they came to spray something to get rid of the smell after that. Another issue was the aircond. I already complained about this, but the engineering team came, but only to wipe it. I already told him that the water passage was blocked, but he juat wiped it down. I suspected that it would happen again, and lo and behold it did. I was so frustrated about this. When I reported this issue, they came again, and confirmed my suspicion all along. They said it wouldn't take long, but it did. They said to wait for their supervisor. After a while, it's decided that I had to move to another room. It took them a while too, only to move me the a room a stone away from the current one. When I got to the new room, the cigarette smell was actually worse, so the guy who moved me called the front desk to move me again, but they were very reluctant to make the change. It was suffocating just to be in the room, even with an opened door. Too many back and forth, and finally they moved me. I was already tired from the travel around the city, and they did this. I was so disappointed. The food was modest at best. Cigarette smell was too strong around the hotel."

"This hotel is really beautiful. All the staff, from reception to the bellboy, are excellent and friendly. It's a new hotel, close to Grand Batam Mall. The interior is definitely more on the modern side. The only downside is that the toilets don't have a bidet spray. That's the only flaw; everything else is A+, including breakfast. For Malaysians, you should try it – it's really affordable for this kind of quality."

"My whole family and I had an awesome time in this resort. The rooms were very spacious and very clean. Especially the staff was very friendly and welcoming. We had breakfast included and it was by far one of the best ones we’ve had so far. There was a variety of different types of food and the coffee was amazing. What we LOOOOVED about this resort was next to the beautiful rooms and property was the beach. Can absolutely recommend, especially for families. Close to the resort is the Lagoi Plaza where other restaurants can be found."

"Overall, it was quite an unpleasant experience. 1. Booked a non-smoking room but was given a smoking room. We specifically booked a non-smoking room, and the receptionist clearly confirmed that the room assigned to us was non-smoking. We even signed the T&C agreement. However, we later found out that the room was actually a smoking room. Ridiculous! We ended up staying one night in that room and, thankfully, after making a complaint, the hotel managed to arrange a non-smoking room for us the following day. 2. Avoid booking a connecting room unless you’re travelling with friends or family. The soundproofing between the connecting rooms is really poor. We could easily hear the guests next door talking and laughing loudly, even after midnight. We had already complained to the receptionist, and although they lowered their voices for a while, the noise started again afterwards and we could still hear them clearly. To be fair, there are some positives: 1. Good location 2. Wide variety of breakfast options 3. Comfortable bed and pillows"

"I stayed at Aston Karimun from 20 April to 23 April 2026, and unfortunately my experience was very disappointing. The biggest issue was the room service. One evening, I ordered dinner and waited for almost two hours for the food to arrive. After following up multiple times, I was simply told that they were busy. Even after such a long wait, the food was still not delivered. This level of service is unacceptable for a hotel that claims to provide quality hospitality. I was also disappointed with the way my messages and inquiries were handled. Responses were slow, lacked urgency, and did not provide any real solution to the problem. Instead of taking responsibility and updating me properly, the staff repeatedly used being “busy” as an excuse. As a paying guest, I expected better communication and customer service. Waiting two hours for dinner and still not receiving it completely ruined the evening and left a very negative impression of the hotel. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and improves both their room service operations and customer communication. Based on my stay from 20–23 April 2026, I cannot recommend this hotel."

"I had such a wonderful 3D2N stay at The ANMON Resort Bintan with my bff. It was the perfect short escape from the city. The glamping tents were spacious, clean, comfortable, and surprisingly well-equipped with air conditioning, making the whole experience feel unique and cozy. The resort itself is very aesthetic and Instagram-worthy. Every corner was beautifully designed, so we ended up taking lots of photos. The staff were warm, friendly, and always greeted us with a smile. 5stars for their Buggy service was convenient, making it easy to get around the resort, always arrive within 1min.. Breakfast had a good variety, and we also enjoyed dining at the resort restaurant. The food was tasty, although slightly pricier than outside restaurants, which is expected for a resort. We spent our days relaxing by the pool, and simply enjoying the peaceful atmosphere. It was a great place to slow down, unwind, and spend quality time together. A small thing to note is that because it's a glamping tent, you may occasionally hear noise from neighboring tents, and there might be a few insects if you leave the door open. It didn't affect our overall experience, but it's something to keep in mind. Overall, I highly recommend The ANMON Resort Bintan for couples, friends, or anyone looking for a fun and relaxing weekend getaway."
