This massive three-story exhibition hall houses a collection of rare treasures from ancient Dian, including a silver-gilt bird with pearl inlays, a silver-backed gold Avalokitesvara statue, and a Ming Dynasty crown studded with red and blue gemstones. Each piece is a national treasure, representing the top craftsmanship and ultimate aesthetics of their respective eras. The Yunnan Provincial Museum displays representative cultural relics from ancient to modern times in Yunnan, making it an excellent place to understand Yunnan's history and culture. The exterior of the museum building is red and has a shape similar to the Stone Forest, which is very special. 🌟Highlights: The museum has seven permanent exhibitions, namely the Preface Hall, Ancient Yunnan, Light of Civilization, Dominance in the South, Fragrant Buddha Country, Frontier Development, and Century of Turbulence themed exhibition halls. Walking through them, you can see the stories that have taken place on this hot land from ancient times to the present. Due to Yunnan's location on the frontier and its multi-ethnic cohabitation, many cultural relics bear traces of minority cultures, especially the relics of the Dali Kingdom and Nanzhao Kingdom, which are worth seeing.
