GGuest UserAsked for a room, got the exact opposite of what I requested.
High floor away from lift. So they gave me almost the lowest floor, literally next to the lifts. I booked months in advance, too.
The lift itself isn't noisy, but obviously guests are. And sadly these guests were Japanese locals. A family who clearly had zero control over their children.
Other problems, the onsen has no cold bath, all three baths are the same temperature, and the reclining bath has no purpose except to allow you to lie down. Plus seeing someone the member of a certain family covered in tattoos is a little frightening for my son. All this despite the signs stating no tattoos.
Location is great for metro lines and for the IG Arena, if that's the reason for your visit.
I would also appreciate the same manners in English that the staff provide local Japanese. Especially if the staff is already fluent in English. We too have polite ways of speaking to customers.

PPlexus27Location is superb at Sakae area, with 24hr Donki just opposite and a Family Mart at the ground floor. Stores around include Uniqlo, GU, Daiso, ABC Mart, 3 Coins +, drug stores etc. It's walking distance around 10mins to Oasis 21 bus terminal for the direct bus to and fro airport, which I find is more convenient than taking the train as would need to exchange subway line at Nagoya station. Front desk service is good and friendly. We love the free Miso soup and drinks provided, and also amenities like facial wash, moisturiser, mask, very thoughtful gesture. They also help to store my luggage when i went for Takayama for a few days before coming back to check in again for another few days. Queen size bed room is considered spacious, bed is comfy. Just that the pillow that they provided is some kind of special functional pillow but is too thin and flat for my liking. Overall a great stay :)

If you're driving, parking is convenient as there's discounted parking available right next to the hotel, which is super budget-friendly. Otherwise, parking fees in the city center can be quite substantial.

AAnonymous UserI came for a concert, and the hotel is right behind Niterra, so it was super convenient to just step out. It's also very close to Kanayama Station, which made shopping and getting to the airport easy. For Japan, the room size was decent and had all the necessary amenities. The lobby offered free coffee, and they even thoughtfully wrote a message for concert-goers.

OO0qiaolezi0oHaha, turns out there are two VIA INN hotels at Nagoya Station! I went to the wrong one at first and couldn't find my booking. The staff kindly directed me to the correct one, and I was able to check in smoothly. I booked two rooms, and they gave us connecting rooms, which was great! The hotel's location is excellent, with many anime/manga stores nearby, like Animate, Suruga-ya, Lashinbang, and K-Books. It's a smooth and enjoyable walk from the station. The hotel is also just a few minutes' walk from the Nagoya Shinkansen, which is super convenient for catching the bullet train. The rooms are typical Japanese style – clean, quiet, and tidy, just what you need. What really surprised me was the breakfast; it was incredibly diverse! All sorts of side dishes, bread, rice, soup, and fruits, all delicious. I especially want to praise the bread; I loved both the toast and the croissants. Next time I'm in Nagoya, I'll definitely choose this place again.

AAnonymous UserThis is a relatively new hotel in Nagoya, having opened in the last year of the '3-year period' (likely referring to the pandemic years). It's positioned as a five-star hotel right at the threshold of the Marriott brand, so all its facilities are good, but not luxurious.
The hotel staff's English is excellent, and they proactively speak it, which is very convenient – typical of an American chain.
I don't know the size of the standard rooms, but the pictures suggest they aren't very large. However, the suite design is incredibly well-thought-out. It's very considerate and convenient for living, both in terms of privacy and usability.
The suite is spacious, the internet is good, and it's very clean. The bed and pillows are extremely comfortable, and the corner sofa is very practical. Having two bathrooms is just perfect.

TTheGuestThe room is decently sized with a comfortable bed, and the friendly staff and convenient location made our stay great. However, do note that there are no baby amenities (e.g. baby toothbrush, baby shower gel, sponge, etc) provided. Also, for drivers, the parking lot closes at 10 PM, so you’ll need to be back by then. Since we were traveling with a toddler, the early closing time didn't bother us.

GGuest UserAs a long-standing five-star hotel, the facilities are very well-maintained, and the entire front office service is professional and rigorous. However, the housekeeping and cleanliness in the guest rooms don't quite match the hotel's overall standard. I stayed for 6 days and the dust on the bathroom light fixture was so obvious yet it wasn't cleaned. I won't even mention other details. The service quality from the South Asian staff needs improvement.

During my last visit, I suddenly fell ill and had a rough night, but early the next morning, a Chinese staff member kindly helped me contact a nearby hospital and called a taxi for me—I was truly grateful! That's why I decided to stay here again this time! The location is right above Nagoya Station, with Takashimaya just downstairs and plenty of dining options across various cuisines on the 12th and 13th floors, which is super convenient! Although you can still hear some train noise at night, it wasn't a big deal. The room was also very spacious, easily fitting three 28-inch suitcases! Overall, highly recommended!
