Our family booked three rooms for our vacation. The hotel lobby is tall and spacious, and the subway entrance is right outside, making transportation very convenient. Dream at the front desk was very thoughtful, upgrading our room type and specifically arranging for connecting rooms. Because we had seniors with us, they even assigned rooms close to the elevator – service was 10/10! Excellent value for money!

Hotel Indigo Suzhou Jinji Lake was absolutely amazing. A special thank you to **Raffael** and another gentleman whose name I unfortunately forgot—I’m pretty sure I read his name on his name tag! In any case, all the clerks were wonderful, friendly, and genuinely helpful. The room service was fast and very good, and I absolutely loved the breakfast. And forget the ordinary little “welcome drink” you usually get at hotels—this place takes welcome drinks seriously! 😂 The drink was so generous that I actually had to share one cup with my driver. This was my first time in Suzhou, which may sound quite ordinary, but for me, it was actually a big deal. It was the **first time in my life that I traveled somewhere completely alone**. All my partners were worried about me, and honestly, I had some hesitation too. But the wonderful atmosphere and hospitality of the hotel staff quickly made me feel comfortable and at ease. After a worldwide business trip, I made a last-minute decision to change my destination from Shanghai to Suzhou. I wasn’t quite sure what to expect, especially since I didn’t find as many reviews from my foreign travelers friends about Suzhou as I expected. Somehow, though, I trusted Indigo—and I’m very glad I did. There are four things that really stood out to me: **1. The location** The location was perfect. It made exploring the area very convenient and was one of the reasons I immediately felt I had made the right decision. **2. The service** The service was sublime. Every interaction with the staff made me feel welcomed and well taken care of. Their hospitality really helped take away my hesitation about traveling alone. **3. The room** I honestly felt like I could spend the entire day in that bathtub! 😂 Everything in the room was thoughtfully prepared and very comfortable—the sofa, table, armchair, bathroom, tea corner, and even the little shelf for reading. It felt like a place where I could actually stay and enjoy the room rather than simply use it as somewhere to sleep. I even started wondering whether I should cancel my day tour and just stay at the hotel longer! **4. The food and coffee** The hotel food is definitely a must-try. I ordered room service this time, but next time I will make sure to go to the restaurant and experience it properly. And as someone who is very much a **coffee-first person**, I have to mention the coffee. I’ve been disappointed by coffee in many places during my travels, but not here. Coffee lovers can relax—you’re in good hands at this hotel. ☕️ And the **pastries and cakes are amazing too**. I honestly wasn’t expecting to be this impressed by the bakery selection. Everything was so good that I could easily make another trip just for breakfast, coffee, pastries, and cake. 😂 I will probably come back and stay here again. And honestly, it’s not only because of Suzhou itself. **Hotel Indigo Suzhou Jinji Lake made me want to come back to Suzhou.** Thank you for the sublime hospitality and for making my first solo experience in Suzhou such a wonderful one. ❤️

Such a magical stay, absolutely stunning hotel. Its a perfect mix of traditional beauty with modern luxury. All of the staff is very friendly and helpful. Room service lady was so sweet too, she went above and beyond. Cleanliness is top tier. Insanely beautiful grounds, photos don’t do this place justice. Convenient location. Hugeee room that was quiet with a stunning view. Comfortable bed, huge bathroom with everything you need. Ensuite toilet has own separate door for additional privacy. we got the suite with 2 bathrooms. Gorgeous shower, excellent water pressure. Loved their lotion and bath products as well! They have a western restaurant as well that served health bowls and lighter meals which we loved (their beef bowl is awesome). We loveddddd their complimentary snack station, they serve an alternating beauty soup during snack time as well that tasted healthy, cleansing, comforting & nourishing. We will definitely be coming back asap :)

Five-Day Stay in Nanjing Check-in Experience We arrived early at around 6 AM due to the difficulty of booking train tickets during the holiday season. Although check-in was at 3 PM, the staff kindly accommodated us with an early check-in for an additional fee. Accommodation We stayed in two types of rooms during our visit: Single Room - Spacious and located in a peaceful, quiet area of the property. RV Room - Situated near the camping area where families and friends gather around a large bonfire for singing, BBQ, and games. **Ratings** Staff: 8/10 - Friendly and accommodating throughout our stay. Shuttle Service: 10/10 - The driver was exceptionally pleasant and always smiling. Since my daughter has asthma and walking long distances is difficult for her, we frequently requested shuttle service between locations. This was especially helpful as ride-share drivers typically drop off at the entrance, which is quite a walk from the rooms and facilities. Breakfast: 10/10 - Excellent variety of traditional Chinese dishes. They were accommodating when my husband requested takeout. Cleanliness: 10/10 - Both rooms were clean, including the beds, towels, and bathrooms. As my daughter’s asthma is triggered by dust, I was pleased that the rooms were clean enough that she didn’t experience any sneezing or symptoms. We all slept well for the entire five days. **Things to Consider** It’s highly recommended to have your own car, as the property is quite far from the city center. If you enjoy nature and outdoor activities, this place is ideal. Activities include: - ATV rides - Fishing area - Playground (note: adults are charged rather than children, so it’s more economical for only one adult to enter) - Small animal area featuring rabbits, ostriches, and llamas (15 RMB entry) - Train ride (30 RMB) The coffee shop has a wonderful atmosphere and aesthetic appeal, making it popular for photos. The property itself is spacious and perfect for leisurely walks. There’s also a temple nearby, approximately 20 minutes away by car. **Challenges We Faced** My daughter developed a fever and experienced diarrhea during our stay. When I called the front desk for help, the staff member wasn’t very accommodating and suggested my husband go buy medicine. This was difficult for us as foreigners who don’t speak the language well. I felt sad and helpless, especially when we couldn’t get any taxis or cabs to pick us up. We wanted to take her to the hospital, but no cabs were available. However, the next morning, a staff member spoke with me who was extremely kind and accommodating. They even offered to drive my daughter to the hospital, which I declined because we needed to catch our train and she was feeling better after taking medicine. They drove us to the South Railway Station and thoughtfully gave my daughter bags and drinks. It was a very kind gesture that we truly appreciated.

The room had so much character, you could tell the owner put a lot of thought into every detail. The service was also incredibly attentive; the owner tried their best to accommodate all our requests. Highly recommend! And since it wasn't peak season, the room rate was quite reasonable too.

The hotel is located within the Lingnan Guild Hall in the scenic area, right by Shantang Street, making it incredibly convenient for shopping and sightseeing. However, the scenic area has traffic restrictions, and the streets are mainly cobblestone. There are also stairs within the Lingnan Guild Hall, which can be inconvenient if you're carrying luggage or pushing a stroller. The hotel's front desk service is excellent and very welcoming. The rooms are meticulously cleaned, and they even offer laundry service, which is a big plus! The hotel has a garden-style design, with a beautiful koi pond that's great for photos and where you can feed the fish. Although it's in a scenic area, the hotel rooms are quite quiet, and there were various complimentary services that unfortunately I didn't get to use. I'll definitely come back again! Highly recommended!

Nestled by the Pinjiang River, this hotel is a hidden gem in the city. Stepping into the hotel, the bustling sounds of Pingjiang Road faded away. What greeted me was a charming courtyard, with a unique view at every turn. The light rain added a special touch of character. I stayed in a room with a courtyard. The hotel thoughtfully prepared a welcome fruit basket, and in the evening, there was a turndown service with sweet soup, which was a lovely touch. Breakfast offers both Chinese and Western options. You fill out a form upon check-in, and dining hours are from 7 to 10 am. Besides the set meal options, there's also a simple yet exquisite buffet, which was very satisfying. The courtyard room included an afternoon tea experience. As it rained the day before, the staff kindly helped reschedule it for the next day, which I greatly appreciated. Afternoon tea is served right by the Pinjiang River, with choices like green tea, black tea, and Pu-erh, accompanied by two fruits and four snacks. The afternoon tea is also open to the public, with packages priced at 199/299 yuan. When we were seated, there were some other guests smoking, and the smoke was bothering us. After informing the front desk staff, Ms. Xu, she brought us a fan. Additionally, due to the rain, the staff provided assistance in several ways. My thanks to Ms. Xu and the hotel staff for their help. Overall, it was a truly unique Suzhou courtyard experience. I hope the hotel continues to thrive!

This is the 229th hotel we've visited with our child. Our first Club Med experience with a kid, and we chose this city-themed Arknights location in Xianlin, Nanjing. Our G.O. (staff member) Angel Tracy was warm and attentive, making the check-in process smooth. The hotel is built around a lake, so you can enjoy the musical fountain show from your room at 8 PM on weekends. The common areas are scenic. The sports room on the second basement floor is perfect for kids to burn off energy (rock climbing and the 'Brave Challenger's Path' require children to be 120cm tall and over six years old). Finally, two suggestions: 1. The replenishment speed at the breakfast restaurant is very slow. By 8:30 AM, many serving dishes were already empty, and I never saw anyone at the omelet station. 2. The rooms lack smart toilet seats and coffee machines. I suggest adding them to enhance the experience, haha.

Our stay at Kimpton Bamboo Suzhou far exceeded expectations. We booked three Cool King Rooms with Courtyard access. The rooms were spacious and bright, featuring elegant and private courtyard designs with lush greenery visible right outside the window. Every detail reflected high quality—the bedding was comfortable, the bathrooms had a wet-and-dry separation layout, and amenities included a Dyson hairdryer and a smart toilet. The minibar was well-stocked, and the overall ambiance perfectly blended the delicate charm of traditional Suzhou gardens with modern convenience. The service was equally heartwarming. The butler team was incredibly responsive throughout our stay, acting on every request instantly, whether it was borrowing extra items or asking for local recommendations. When we needed a few more bottles of water at night, a quick phone call had them delivered to the room within minutes. The next day, due to a change in our schedule, we needed a late check-out. Our butler, Vickey, didn't hesitate for a second and happily arranged it for us without any hassle, allowing us to pack at our own pace and enjoy a leisurely breakfast. Public areas of the hotel are also very photogenic; the courtyard walkways and the bar atmosphere are well worth taking your time to explore. All in all, with its solid hardware and thoughtful service, this is a hotel we would gladly return to again and again. Highly recommended to anyone visiting Suzhou who wants a comfortable and welcoming stay. We'll definitely choose this place again next time.

There are so many great hotels in Wuxi. Having visited with my kids many times and stayed at various five-star hotels, this time we came to tour Taihu Lake. We booked the hotel very late on the day of arrival, and after calling first to inquire about the evening buffet, we finally chose the JW. The room was thoroughly cleaned, and the service was excellent and very prompt (there was a minor issue with the TV, but someone was sent right away to fix it). The hotel is located in a bustling downtown area with a lively atmosphere. Right downstairs is a shopping mall with everything you could possibly need, making it very convenient when traveling with kids. Above all, the night view is unbeatable! Looking out from the 57th floor, the night view of Wuxi is stunning! The dining and other amenities are quite decent—nothing extraordinary, but everything you need is there. And that's more than enough 👍 Overall, it was a fantastic experience. Since we love Wuxi so much and it's very convenient to get here from Shanghai, we will definitely stay at our JW again next time.
