The hotel is a bit old, with a classic, vintage decor. Its location is absolutely superb, right at the entrance of a large, upscale shopping mall and a bustling pedestrian street. Nearby, you'll find the city's biggest market and a plethora of bars and nightclubs. Breakfast was decent; not a huge variety, but very filling. Unfortunately, the elevator was on the second floor and out of order. Hauling three large suitcases up to the third floor was a nightmare. On the upside, the room I stayed in was incredibly spacious, over 50 square meters, with a very large bathroom…
The Lincoln Private House Hotel experience has been fantastic. We have a private bathroom, and our room is cleaned daily. Breakfast is the highlight, featuring a menu and an unlimited selection of drinks. The staff are amazing!
Environment: Super convenient, right next to the train station, making it easy to get downtown on foot.
Service: Excellent service; Marriott members get free early check-in.
Hygiene: Very clean, spotless.
Everything was great. The location is very close to the town centre, and the room was clean with a lovely view, a bit small, but perfectly fine. The hotel also offers luggage storage, which is ideal if you want to explore a bit more after checking out.
Very satisfied with a stay.
Hotel location is very good, five minutes walk from the train station and bus terminal, and 15 minutes to Cardiff Castle. There are several supermarkets and restaurants nearby, which is very convenient. Although there are not many reviews on Trip.com , I saw that the hotel business was very good when I checked in, and there were many foreign tourists staying in the store.
The hotel room is very spacious, enough to spread out two trolley boxes, the bed is also big enough for two people to sleep. Although the hotel is located close to the street and train tracks, the room is quiet: carpets are laid in the corridor to avoid noise, windows and walls are soundproofed, and no train or street noise is heard for two nights. The room window has a good view and you can see Cardiff Bay. There is air conditioning in the room, and cooling and heating are fine. There is no drinking water in the room, but you can pick up lemonade for free on the first floor of the hotel.
The front desk that helped me check in was very warm and friendly, and took the initiative to introduce the activities held on the day of Cardiff Castle and explain the route in the past. I regret that I forgot his name. I remember that he was a young white male without glasses. I have traveled in several cities in the UK this time, and the front desk of this hotel is definitely the most welcoming of the hotels I have stayed in.
The fly in the ointment is that there are two employees on the first floor of the hotel at the same time, and there are hotels on the first floor, restaurants, bars, vending machines and luggage storage. I feel that the employees are very busy, whether it is the restaurant ordering, checkout or check-in, luggage, It takes three or five minutes for them to come over. The staff are friendly and conscientious, but really busy. It would be nice if the hotel could arrange more staff on the first floor.
Breakfast wasn’t very good and could have used more variety. The washroom had a slow water flow issue, but overall the room was decent for the price. If you’re traveling in summer, make sure to ask for a fan, the room can get hot very quickly, and opening a window isn’t an option.
Comfortable and Modern Stay
I had a pleasant stay at this hotel. The design was simple yet modern, creating a relaxing atmosphere. The room was well-maintained, featuring a spacious and comfortable bed. The bathroom was clean and well-equipped, adding to the overall comfort. A great choice for a straightforward and enjoyable stay!
This was a lovely room! Didn't have its own bathroom which I wasn't expecting but I think that's just me not really reading the listing! The person who checked me in was lovely and the room was warm and decorated nicely. Thanks!
Overall, it was a good experience. The reception staff was a bit rude. Room service was not satisfactory. It was overpriced. The AC was not working, and there was no ventilation.
Close to the Cardiff Bay area and a very short bus to the main city and Cardiff Castle. Breakfast was excellent (but no muesli). Rooms spacious but no fridge (I think that the UK don't do fridges) we did enjoy our stay and would fully recommend staying here. Car park is next door at a multi carpark which is subsidised by the hotel @ 25 - 30%.

GGuest UserLocated in the middle of the city centre close to castle and local attractions. Unfortunately room backed into a night club which played music till 4am. If you are a light sleeper this could be an issue. Other then that lovely place.
GGuest UserI really enjoyed my stay overall. The location was fantastic—on a beautiful street—and the hotel building itself is stunning. When I arrived, I was warmly welcomed by a very kind Italian gentleman, which gave me a great first impression. My room, though located in a separate area, was clean, modern, and nicely decorated. Everything looked fresh and well thought out.
However, I was disappointed to find visible stains on the bed sheets. While I believe they had been washed, the stains hadn’t come out and the sheets were still used, which didn’t match the high standard the rest of the hotel presented. I think they should have replaced them.
Another minor inconvenience was the bathroom light, which was automatic and triggered the extractor fan. This meant that even during the night, using the bathroom caused the noisy fan to stay on for a while, which could’ve been avoided with a manual light switch, in my opinion.
Despite these issues, the stay was mostly very positive, but I can’t give a full five stars because of the sheets. Hopefully this can be improved for future guests.

GGuest UserWe arrived at Cardiff Central by train, which is 15mins walking to this Premier Inn. It was very welcoming and staff friendly, rooms clean, with as much tea and coffee, which you took from the travellers store at the main entrance. My only gripe is as I have dietary requirements, They couldn't cater for them and had to make do with what was on offer. No gluten free food at night, Only what I would call general burgers, lasagne, steak battered fish and chips. Only veg on offer was peas. In this day and age Hotels need to cater for a variety of people's health conditions. Vegan/vegetarians are not Gluten free or Ibs sufferers or Celiacs. Which are complicated problems. It would be helpful if they offered something which could be adapted. .

BBethSaidSmileStayed one night. Not sure if because of renovation, the reception area wasn't very welcoming, pretty much self check-in set up but staffed too. Busy hotel, popular pool, gym, need to wait your turn for sauna & steam room but Impressed with facilities. Room service food was basic. The room definitely need updating and shower pressure not great. Overall fine though, would stay again.
