Parking is competitive - we have to park at the carpark opposite JR Kochi for our first night but managed to snag a spot the second night. Staff is helpful and friendly.
Location is good especially if you are travelling by JR but is quite a walking distance to the attractions eg, Hirome Market, Kochi Castle etc. There are convenience stores nearby where we bought snacks and enjoy the free coffee at the hotel lounge. We are glad breakfast is provided too as it can be a little difficult to find eateries nearby, and it is delicious.
Room is clean and size is acceptable by Japan standard.
We stopped at the southern town of Kochi during our Shikoku cycling challenging around the island. It was a long day after 130km from Shishiku but finally arrived at the Dormy Inn at around 3:30pm.
Location wise it’s excellent as it is at the heart of the shopping district with many shops and restaurants nearby. The hotel is bike friendly allowing us to take the bike into our room. Amenities is excellent and room is clean although a tad smaller than expected. In general I am happy with our decision staying at the Dormy Inn of Kochi.
The hotel is located near the shopping street. It takes 8 minutes to walk to Hongren Market and 12 minutes to Hongren Market. The hotel equipment is old. I stayed in a Japanese-style room. The space is larger than that of ordinary Japanese-style hotels. The hotel also has its own parking lot. ¥ 700 per time. The hotel has a simple breakfast with bread, eggs, coffee and tea, which is good value for money.
Not too far from Kochi Station, and you can easily walk to the famous Hirome Market and Kochi Castle. Alternatively, the front desk offers free bicycle rentals. Laundry is free, and drying costs 100 yen for 30 minutes. There's free coffee and a microwave on the first floor. Parking right in front of the hotel is free. The hotel was almost fully booked during our stay. However, the facilities are showing significant age, which makes the cleanliness situation feel like even with their best efforts to clean and maintain, it still comes across as messy and unkempt.
Conveniently located right next to Kochi station, this hotel offers a wonderful experience for tourists to explore Kochi. A lot of attractions are in walkable distance.
The front desk clerk communicated in English very carefully and explained the hot spring opening hours in the hotel.
No hot springs were intended to be used, and soup tax was paid upon check-in.
The room has historical traces and the hygiene is acceptable.
You can park directly in the parking lot behind the hotel by car, free of charge.
The hotel is about a 20-minute walk from the station, located in a side alley. A 20-minute walk will take you to Kochi Castle, passing through charming streets and markets. Hiroto Market is about a 20-minute walk from the hotel. Hotel facilities and room service are satisfactory. Please remember that the booking agent only collects a deposit; you will need to pay 5,000 yen in cash upon arrival at the hotel. This deposit will be refunded by the booking agent after your trip.
Located right next to Harimaya Bridge, it's easy to find and get around Kochi. The room was standard. Amenities were minimal, so you just grab what you need from the lobby. It was very clean and nice. Breakfast was included, but the venue is compact, so you might have to wait if it's crowded. I was happy to be able to eat seared bonito in the morning. I was very satisfied.
The room is very clean and space is very good in Japan standard. The front desk staff are super helpful.
I wanted to open a bottle of wine and didn't have a wine opener. When I asked the front desk staff. He tried his best to help and unfortunately there was not a wine opener and I borrowed a beer opener instead. Just a few minutes later, I managed to open the wine using the beer opener and I went down to the front desk to return the opener. When lift door opened, I saw the front staff wanted to get into the lift with a screwdriver and 2 screws in his hand. I was really so touched when I saw him not giving up and still wanted to help me. I am totally zero to Japanese, and I can't remember the gentleman's name unfortunately. I really want to say a big thank you to the gentleman who tried his best to help me.
The location of the hotel is good with a supermarket and a convenient shop next door.
There a massage chair in the room for guests to use at FOC.
I you drive, there is car park on-site and it's free.
It was a good location, with a large communal bath and a sauna, it was good, the cold bath is colder water, but it's enough, and the breakfast is more delicious than expected, bonito and pickles are delicious, I want to use it again this time.

GGuest Userthe hotel room is nice , best shower even in Japan. but the sink is too low, good size for the child , too low for an adult the hotel has swimming pool, the pool is belong to the gym , normally require the membership ,but you just need to show the counter that you are staying in the hotel they will let you in. if you dont have the swimming suit, they have the swimming suit to borrow which was nice . they don't really speak English, that was a little tough to communicate. they have laundry machine at 3rd floor to use. the breakfast was acceptable , if you are foreigner, like western food , they have croissant, chocolate bread, salad, bacon. it was a good stay.

GGuest UserThe air was clear and wide, and the dog was able to relax together!
It was very nice in a large room.
The price was good, the rice was good, the Viking was playing, and it was fun.

GGuest UserI stay here pretty much every time when coming for work in Kochi. Not many good hotels in Kochi and given its great location and good breakfast, hard to beat. Prices are also reasonable.
GGuest UserThe hotel was established in 1950 and has a nostalgic feel. Google Maps says there is a 24-hour Yoshinoya across from the entrance to the ”busiest area”. The busiest area was not busy at all and many shops were closed. The hotel rooms are relatively large and well-lit. The breakfast is a traditional Japanese set meal. There are ample parking spaces and the lobby receptionist is polite.

KKong Hweethe room size is very small for 2 persons. the luggage has to be closed all time to make way and can only open 1 at a time. breakfast was a fixed set with combination of Japanese and western. the location is walking distance to hirome market and shopping street..
