Saga is a quiet and pleasant city. The hotel facilities are a bit old, but its location is excellent, very close to the JR station and with bus stops nearby, making it convenient to visit attractions like Saga Castle and the Hot Air Balloon Museum. The hotel service is great, and they offer a public bath, which is a nice touch. The breakfast spread is quite generous. The 10:00 AM check-out time is a bit early, but they do offer free luggage storage, which is helpful. Overall, I'm satisfied!
・ Hotel is close to the station
・ Supermarket, rice shop, convenience store near the hotel
・ Drink server available until late hours
・フード Self-dealer
・ Laundry operation can be confirmed on your smartphone.
・ Adjacent hot springs available (very wide)
・ Breakfast (it was delicious!)
It was easy to spend a lot of very good conditions.
I stayed at this hotel for a few days during my trip, and I highly recommend it! The location is fantastic. One exit from the JR station leads directly to the Combox shopping mall (where the supermarket on the first floor offers 50% off at 7 PM and 20% off at 6 PM), and also to what seems to be the most bustling street in the area – probably a main thoroughfare. At night, the trees lining the street outside are beautifully decorated with light strips. The JR station itself has plenty of great food options, so even if you're a bit late for lunch, there's no need to worry. On the other side, just a 2-minute walk away at the intersection, is the Comfort Hotel. Although it's not large, and the rooms are small and compact in a Japanese style, they are very clean. The rooms seem to have central heating; it felt warm as soon as I entered, as shown in picture three. Both check-in and check-out are self-service at machines by the entrance, which can be switched to Simplified Chinese, making the process smooth and seamless. If I had any issues during my stay, the hotel staff were patient listeners and actively helpful. The breakfast was also excellent; while not a huge variety, the taste was great, as seen in picture two.
Pros: Very close to Takeo Onsen Station, practically door-to-door. There's a hot spring on the 8th floor, though it's on the smaller side. The breakfast has a good variety, but it can get very crowded. You can borrow bicycles, which saves you from walking.
Cons: I mistakenly booked a smoking room, and it smelled heavily of smoke – something to be aware of if you're sensitive to that. The soundproofing is poor; the noise from housekeeping outside my door was very loud, and I couldn't get any sleep, especially since I had a fever.
Just a 2-minute walk from JR station, located right on the shopping street with plenty of great food and shops nearby. The room was clean, and the service was warm and welcoming. They even have shared laundry machines, a dryer, microwave, and a fridge, which was a very thoughtful touch. Breakfast was simple, just milk and bread, but it tasted good. It would be even better if there were more options.
staffs are helpful and room is spacious, very close to Tosu station and some good restaurants nearby
just the parking fee info hasn't been updated, now isn't 200yen per stay
but isn't a big problem as there is a multistorey nearby, staff also suggested to park there
The location is very near to the tosu premium outlet.
It's like a boutique hotel with free parking lots.
Receptionists are very friendly and speak a good command of English. Will recommend.
The stuff is very friendly, the room is a little bigger than usual but they have a problem with water, sometimes it jumps from warm water to cold for no reason. The breakfast is regular japanese breakfast, small variety but they have default miso soup, rice, vegetables and protein
This small hot spring hotel in Saga gave a big surprise. The location is not far from JR, the bus is just a few stops, get off the bus and walk. The family hotel gave too many surprises, the room was spotless, the service staff was super enthusiastic, the luggage was taken to the second floor, but the room was really comfortable and the family of three was very satisfied. Soaked in the hot spring and washed away the fatigue. I was also lucky to meet the boss of the president, a very elegant lady. Everything is perfect!
There is no elevator in the building, and although there are floors up to the 3rd floor, you must use the stairs. It was a little difficult because I had a lot of baggage.
Perhaps because of the location, there were many students staying there.
The service level is low compared to general business hotels.
The inside of the room is reasonably spacious and there are no inconveniences.
I just said it's fine if you take the time to stay overnight.

Very Good
GGuest UserIf you have something to do in the area, you can book at a good price and have no expectations.
After arriving, I found that although the room is a container house, no matter the appearance of the room, the room is very new and clean. Check-in was in the middle of summer in Japan, and the daytime temperature was as high as 37 degrees. And the new air-conditioning in the room is very cold enough, it is worthy of praise!
The front desk also provides a map of nearby restaurants, and the service is intimate!

AAnonymous UserHotel right by the station. If you check in need to walk to the front for reception once you have the access card there is a door nearer to the train station. Lounge area with coffee/miso/ hot drinks/ ice/ microwave is really useful since there isn't any convenient store nearby the area. But there is a small restaurant and souvenir shop within the area
CConnie Chan 21The hotel has only 10 rooms, the facilities are new, 10 points clean, Japanese style and wind, there is a massage function in the open air, the staff is 10 points good, will call to remind you to eat dinner and breakfast, originally need to leave the hotel early, can not enjoy dinner, The hotel specially arranged breakfast at an early time, very considerate service. And the quality of the food is very high. The water pressure is enough. Arranged to eat in a separate room, private feeling 10 points is sufficient.
EEvon Foo.We chose to stay here because hotels in Fukuoka were very expensive, and since we had the JR Pass, this location right beside the Tosu station was super convenient. The room was very clean, and the facilities were great — especially the included breakfast! It was a wonderful chance to try local Japanese dishes, and I really enjoyed it. The breakfast starts as early as 6:30am, which was very thoughtful — I still remember rushing to catch the 6:50am train to Fukuoka after eating, and I even had 5 minutes to spare, haha!
Staff were friendly and helpful, though English communication was a bit more limited — probably because it’s not a major station area. Still, everyone had a great attitude and tried their best. Overall, a very satisfying stay!
GGuest UserAnyway, the hot spring water was amazing! The temperature wasn't too high, so I was impressed by the thick, viscous quality of the spring, which meant I didn't get a hot spring rash even when I soaked for a long time. It's truly one of Japan's top three skin-beautifying hot springs, and it left my skin feeling silky smooth. The facility was also very well-maintained, so it was a pleasant experience.
For the price, including a hot spring and two meals included, I think it's great value for money.
There were plenty of meals and children's options, so I think families would feel comfortable staying here.
There were no issues with the common areas and functionality of the facilities, but I think it's about time to renovate the bathrooms in the individual guest rooms.
The overall atmosphere was that of a good, old-fashioned, affordable inn, and it was nice to be able to relax and enjoy the table tennis and manga corners.

GGuest UserThe ocean view bathtub room was so nice, and the private open-air bath was even better. I couldn't use the large bath because I missed the time check, but that's a shame. The staff were also very kind. However, if your purpose is to tour Karatsu, not just spend a leisurely trip at your accommodation or walking around the town, it's a bit far from the tourist attractions, so please think carefully about your schedule.
