Good location, close proximity within few minutes walking distance to KSL and many eateries. Nicely decorated and clean unit, aircon is powerful and wifi is working well. Thanks to the host for helping us book the Karaoke room, my family had a great time singing. Unfortunately our stay is too short and we didn't get a chance to use the pool table when we realised the apartment also has one. Only shortcoming is the pungent smell especially in the common bathroom coming from the sewage, but I realised it is very common in most apartments in JB that I have stayed so far. Overall, a pleasant stay.

Abit had a bad trip for this time as water heater dont have hot water... The hairDryer spoil i cant even blow dry my hair. Hopefully can check everything ok before pass key to tourists as this is my 2nd time visit hope is not the last time.

Pros: The location is excellent, with plenty of halal dining options nearby and a small shopping mall just a few minutes’ walk away. The hotel is conveniently located about 25 minutes from the Mini Zoo and only 10 minutes from Desaru Beach. The room rates are affordable, and we were pleasantly surprised to receive a connecting room, which we greatly appreciated. The room was also clean and comfortable. Cons: One major inconvenience was that the refrigerator automatically switched off whenever we left the room. After spending a long, hot day outdoors, it was disappointing to return and find our drinks no longer cold. On our first night, we requested an extra towel and toothbrush set since there were three guests in the room. Unfortunately, the items were not delivered, even after we followed up at the front desk. There was also no floor mat provided. Thankfully, our experience improved the next day thanks to Zamre at the front desk. He was friendly, helpful, and made sure we received everything we needed. He also ensured our room was ready by 1 PM. Zamre’s excellent service truly stood out and made a positive difference to our stay. He is probably the main reason we would choose to return to Fives Desaru on our next visit. Overall, the hotel offers good value for money, and with improvements in housekeeping responsiveness, the experience would be even better.

this is best apartment stay thus far. location of apartment is good. the unit itself is well maintained, clean and considered quite new. will want to stay again! (oh swimming pool is big! kids love it!)

The price is good and there is a food street, convenience stores and a Watsons within the same shop lot area. Really good place! The room itself is a little run down, but not uncomfortable. The aircon goes down real cold and the water can go up to scorching hot. There’s a hairdryer. I would recommend you stay in a room with a window instead of a room without because the experience is so much better.

The room is modern and well-maintain. My kids loves it. I would like to compliment Manisha for the excellent service, she is patience in explaining the available options ensuring that I made an informed decision without pressure. This hotel is located in the Austin area, a pretty lively suburb of Johor Bahru. Interestingly, my ride-sharing app showed two different addresses about 500 meters apart. The ground floor is a mall, and the restaurant and lobby are on the first floor. They charged a 300 deposit, but the front desk only gave me a receipt for 100. Good thing I caught that, otherwise, check-out would have been a hassle. The room was spacious enough, the air conditioning worked great, and there was one Chinese channel on TV, which was from Singapore.
