Good location, close proximity within few minutes walking distance to KSL and many eateries. Nicely decorated and clean unit, aircon is powerful and wifi is working well. Thanks to the host for helping us book the Karaoke room, my family had a great time singing. Unfortunately our stay is too short and we didn't get a chance to use the pool table when we realised the apartment also has one. Only shortcoming is the pungent smell especially in the common bathroom coming from the sewage, but I realised it is very common in most apartments in JB that I have stayed so far. Overall, a pleasant stay.

Abit had a bad trip for this time as water heater dont have hot water... The hairDryer spoil i cant even blow dry my hair. Hopefully can check everything ok before pass key to tourists as this is my 2nd time visit hope is not the last time.

Stayed at Hotel CIQ recently and had a pleasant experience overall. The location is very convenient, especially for those needing quick access to the CIQ area, making it great for short stays or business trips. The room was clean and comfortable, with basic amenities provided. Staff were friendly and helpful during check-in and throughout the stay. While the facilities are quite simple, everything was functional and well-maintained. It’s not a luxury hotel, but it offers good value for the price. Overall, a solid choice if you’re looking for a convenient and affordable stay near CIQ.

Pros: The location is excellent, with plenty of halal dining options nearby and a small shopping mall just a few minutes’ walk away. The hotel is conveniently located about 25 minutes from the Mini Zoo and only 10 minutes from Desaru Beach. The room rates are affordable, and we were pleasantly surprised to receive a connecting room, which we greatly appreciated. The room was also clean and comfortable. Cons: One major inconvenience was that the refrigerator automatically switched off whenever we left the room. After spending a long, hot day outdoors, it was disappointing to return and find our drinks no longer cold. On our first night, we requested an extra towel and toothbrush set since there were three guests in the room. Unfortunately, the items were not delivered, even after we followed up at the front desk. There was also no floor mat provided. Thankfully, our experience improved the next day thanks to Zamre at the front desk. He was friendly, helpful, and made sure we received everything we needed. He also ensured our room was ready by 1 PM. Zamre’s excellent service truly stood out and made a positive difference to our stay. He is probably the main reason we would choose to return to Fives Desaru on our next visit. Overall, the hotel offers good value for money, and with improvements in housekeeping responsiveness, the experience would be even better.

this is best apartment stay thus far. location of apartment is good. the unit itself is well maintained, clean and considered quite new. will want to stay again! (oh swimming pool is big! kids love it!)

The hotel's design is very cozy and as its name imply, it's leaning towards a Japanese tatami styled theme. My family love it and the beds are comfy. Basic toiletries, bottled water and coffee are provided too. Service is pretty standard and cordial. The only thing to take away from the enjoyable experience would be the soundproofing of walls and rooms. The noise is audible and you can clearly hear the details of your neighbors

Stayed at Fives Hotel DNP JB for one night and overall I’m very happy with the stay. The room cleanliness was superb — really impressed. The beds were very comfortable, everything felt fresh and well maintained. The condition of the room was good and cozy, definitely a comfortable place to rest after a long day. The lighting and setup made the room feel warm and relaxing. The only downside for me was the lobby and location. The lobby feels a bit too simple and doesn’t really give that welcoming hotel vibe. Also, since it’s located at the old plaza area, the surroundings don’t feel very lively or comfortable, especially at night. But overall, for room comfort and cleanliness, I’m satisfied with the stay. Would still consider coming back for a short stay 👍

I am extremely disappointed with my stay at this hotel. Honestly, this is one of the worst hotels I have ever experienced in my life. First of all, the bed is unbelievably hard — it feels more like sleeping on a wooden board than a mattress. On top of that, the air conditioning is extremely noisy, making it almost impossible to fall asleep or stay asleep throughout the night. What made it even worse is the pillows. They are excessively hard and uncomfortably high, causing serious neck discomfort. I genuinely do not understand how any guest is expected to get a proper rest under these conditions. I even called the front desk to request a different pillow, but was told that all pillows are the same and cannot be changed. This kind of response is completely unacceptable for any hotel that claims to provide comfort and service. Overall, this stay was a terrible experience. I will definitely not return, and I would not recommend this hotel to anyone who values a good night’s sleep. ------------------------------- Saya sangat kecewa dengan pengalaman menginap di hotel ini. Bantal sangat keras dan terlalu tinggi, menyebabkan ketidakselesaan pada leher. Saya benar-benar tidak faham bagaimana tetamu boleh mendapatkan rehat yang baik dalam keadaan seperti ini. Saya telah menghubungi kaunter hadapan untuk meminta penukaran bantal, tetapi diberitahu bahawa semua bantal adalah sama dan tidak boleh ditukar. Jawapan seperti ini langsung tidak boleh diterima bagi sebuah hotel yang kononnya menyediakan keselesaan dan servis. Secara keseluruhan, pengalaman ini sangat mengecewakan.
